What Do You Mean I Have Nine Wives?
Chapter 99: Tracy’s Suspicion
"Teacher, you still haven’t answered my question. What do you know about my parents?"
Tyler asked.
Xue thought for a moment. Since Tyler had already revealed so much of his feelings, she couldn’t hide some truth from him.
More importantly, she had a feeling that Tyler would learn a few things sooner or later.
"Your father has completely erased the true memories of him and his wife from the minds of others. Only the main elders of your clan are aware of them."
"I don’t know why he did this, but it must’ve been something to do with the tower."
"Alfred might also know a few things, but I’ve recently confirmed one thing. Your parents have already entered the Immortal Realm."
"This is quite surprising because before your parents left you, they were only at the Living Tribulation Realm."
"That means they crossed six realms in the Spirit Realm within twelve years. Two years per realm."
"But considering their techniques and talent, it makes a lot of sense. Your father has two techniques: Space and Rule."
"Rule Technique is what he used to erase those memories and place new memories. On the other hand, your mother has the Time Technique."
"You have already awakened both of their techniques. Your family is quite amazing."
"Your mother has only one technique, but it is related to Time. Your father has two techniques, and both are of the highest tier."
"Finally, you inherited two techniques from them and raised both of them even beyond theirs."
"At the same time, you also have a top-tier dual cultivation technique. I have a feeling that if you are lucky enough, your child will be born with four techniques."
"Even if you are not lucky enough, your child will inherit top-tier talent. What’s frustrating is that all of you come from the Lower Realm."
Xue revealed her frustration due to their situation.
Because she was going to be his wife or lover.
That meant she would be giving birth to his child, and she absolutely didn’t want him to be any less than top-tier.
"I see!"
Tyler lowered his head, thinking about the situation.
He knew two of his techniques were inherited from his parents, but he never thought they would’ve already become so powerful.
Considering how much he had grown in just a few months, it made a lot of sense.
The only problem was: what forced them to do this?
————————
In the mansion of the Austin Family;
Tracy was checking the cost of starting the war. Certainly, he was pushing the war forward, but it wasn’t easy.
He didn’t know what exactly happened, but fishmen didn’t start a war no matter what he did until he killed the son of a member of the Royal Family of Fishman.
Unlike humans, fishman chose their leaders based on royal lineage. That’s why, the moment that incident broke out, the war started.
But the son of the royal family wasn’t so easy to kill. He had to hire a powerful broker who then hired another broker.
This broker hired three groups of Soul Sublimation Realm cultivators, each group containing three Soul Sublimation Realm cultivators.
Finally, using so many cultivators, he managed to kill the son of the royal family member.
This cost him nearly two hundred thousand spirit stones. Since the payment was done in spirit stones, it was even more painful for his family.
’But no matter what, the war has started. Although the war hasn’t reached the Coastal City, it will be very soon.’
’Once it reaches there, we can begin the takeover process. By the way, I should ask Pritam to write a letter at the start of this war.’
’There is something that I don’t understand. Why didn’t fishmen start the war despite so many of their people being killed?’
’Although ten is not many, fishmen are a united race. If you kill one of their member, they always start a war. This hasn’t changed for a thousand years. So why now?’
He narrowed his eyes.
’Could it be that Tyler Grant informed them about my goal? If so, that makes sense why Jack was only able to send a few words.’
’He died in a battle. They had already prepared a trap. If I am not wrong, they have already identified the traitors and found the information about the attack from them.’
’That’s why I am no longer able to contact them to learn about the Coastal City’s current situation.’
’What a genius you are, Tyler Grant! It’s a pity you weren’t born in my family.’
He shook his head.
Right now, he couldn’t touch Tyler unless he was willing to go there himself.
But would he go there?
No, he didn’t want to give the Grant Family any chances of pointing fingers at him.
After all, what he planned to get wasn’t his property. It belonged to the Grant Family.
If they found any problem, they could easily make it difficult for him to obtain that thing.
Knock! Knock!
"Come in!"
Tracy’s spoke, and the door opened.
A man wearing dark armor and a black mask walked in.
"Sir, I have completed the task."
He walked in front of Tracy and got on one knee.
"Good! Very good!"
Tracy stood up from his chair and excitedly slapped the table.
"Now, everything is set! We just need to sit back and reap the reward."
"But there is one incomplete task, sir!"
The man spoke with an emotionless tone.
Hearing that, Tracy frowned and asked.
"Which task?"
"Task No.4!"
"Oh!"
Hearing that, Tracy sighed a breath of relief.
"As long as you have finished the first three tasks, it’s enough."
The man nodded, stood up, and took out several papers. He placed them on the table, and Tracy began to read through them.
"Hmm!"
Tracy kept reading while nodding his head. He kept flipping through the papers until he got stuck on one of the papers.
His forehead skin wrinkled as he asked.
"What happened to Joseph?"
"Sir, it’s written below."
"Hmm! I see."
Tracy frowned.
His expression darkened.
"Since Joseph wasn’t there, what did you leave behind as evidence?"
"Andrew!"
"Damn it! No, it has to be Joseph. Only Joseph is close with Mark. This is a problem. Have you cleared the area?"
"Yes, sir!"
Tracy placed the papers down and said.
"We can’t make any mistakes, Zero. This is not a game. One mistake and the Austin Family will disappear from this world."
"I need you to go back and bring Joseph to that scene. Incinerate him and leave no evidence behind!"
"But sir, Joseph was called by Mr. Scarlet! If I call him, Turnip Family can start doubting us."
Hearing that, Tracy spoke.
"And if we don’t do this, they will doubt us. Don’t forget, only Joseph is close to Mark. Joseph’s death is important for my plan."
"If Andrew replaces him, even if things go as planned, it will not work. Andrew and Mark have no close relationship."
"Do you understand, Zero? I need you to kidnap Joseph, bring him to the scene, and kill him."
"Also, cover up Andrew! I need you to complete this job before Turnip Family finds any evidence, understand?"
"Yes, sir!"
Zero nodded. Normally, people would’ve asked many questions to Tracy because of what he said.
But he couldn’t. He wasn’t just a part of the Austin Family. He was also the most loyal guard Tracy had trained.
His strength was equal to Tracy, but his life was given by Tracy. So, he only had one job.
Follow Tracy’s order without any question.
He turned around and left the room.
After he left, Tracy sat on the chair and started reading the last papers on the table.
The more he read through those papers, the more he frowned.
"This doesn’t make sense. His name, his background, and even the most important parts are detailed."
"He and I should have no contact, so why does this name feel so similar?"
He got up and started walking around the room.
"No, no, something is definitely wrong with those reports. I can’t remember everything exactly the way it was, but I remember that name."
"Thirty years ago! I will not forget the name of the man who thoroughly defeated me."
"But then, why are my memories of him so blurry?"
He narrowed his eyes.
"This can’t be a coincidence. If I hadn’t been thinking about him, I would completely forget him."
"But the more I think about him, the more things don’t make sense. His name has been found on several papers."
"When a Secret Dimension appeared in the Red Hog Country thirty years ago, his name could be found among the participants."
"But according to another report, he has barely left the Astral City."
"Then, why does his name appear together with that mysterious owner of the Star Plasma Pavilion twenty years ago?"
"So, this document was forged to mislead others. But what about my memories? How could a cultivator of my realm forget something so important?"
His eyes showed fear and a dangerous glint as he asked.
"What exactly did you do, Richard Grant?"
