The shop looks like it just opened not too long ago.

Scarlett Yates naturally nodded and agreed.

At this moment, her mind was no longer on the meal.

If it wasn’t a hallucination just now, then the familiar figure she saw among the crowd waiting at the traffic lights was Maxwell Saxon.

When she saw Maxwell Saxon, he also turned his head and glanced at her.

Their eyes met for a few seconds, and when Scarlett blinked and tried to confirm again, Maxwell was gone.

After crossing the street and arriving at the newly opened porridge shop on the other side, once the porridge they ordered was served to the table, Matthew Saxon didn’t eat it himself but scooped a spoonful to feed Scarlett Yates.

There were quite a few people in the shop, and when the two of them walked in, they attracted a lot of attention.

Even after they sat down, people were still stealing glances at them.

Matthew and Scarlett sat on the same side, very close to each other. When the spoonful of porridge was brought to Scarlett’s lips, she embarrassedly took the spoon from his hand, glared at him, and whispered, "Matthew Saxon, I know how to eat on my own, people are watching."

Public display of affection, and such a cheesy one at that, made her feel awkward knowing all eyes were on them.

Matthew, however, was indifferent, raising his eyebrows and smiling, "If they like to watch, let them. We eat our own, why care about them." 𝕗𝕣𝐞𝐞𝘄𝐞𝚋𝚗𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗹.𝚌𝕠𝚖

Scarlett continued to glare at him, "You might not find it cheesy, but I sure do, and considering you are a well-known figure, shouldn’t you pay some attention to your public image?"

Matthew Saxon raised an eyebrow, curled his lips, "I’m just feeding my own woman, how is that not paying attention to my image?"

"Don’t you know there’s a saying, ’Show off your love, and you won’t last long’ "

"Scarlett Yates, what nonsense are you babbling."

"It’s not nonsense, it’s what people say. And from my observation, it seems quite accurate. Look at those celebrity couples who often show off their love in public, eight or nine out of ten end up divorcing."

Narrowing his long, enchanting eyes which now carried a hint of danger, "Scarlett, are you intentionally trying to annoy me?"

"No." Scarlett put the spoon back into his bowl, looking seriously at him, "I’m just saying, staying low-key can’t be wrong."

Matthew suddenly curled his lips into a smile, as if acknowledging her point, nodded and said with a chuckle, "Hmm, what you said seems to make some sense."

While saying this, he lowered his head to look at the spoonful of porridge just scooped up by Scarlett.

As Scarlett brought the spoonful to her mouth, he suddenly lowered his head and snatched the porridge from her lips.

Scarlett was stunned, looked at him, and then looked down at the empty spoon in her hand.

The stolen porridge seemed to taste really good, as Matthew licked his lips contentedly, lifted his gaze, his charming eyes carrying a fox-like slyness, "What you said does make some sense, but I have no intention of being low-key."

Apparently, he hadn’t listened to a thing she said.

Scarlett put the empty spoon back into the bowl, "Why did you snatch mine, you have your own."

"Scarlett, don’t you know that things you snatch taste better?"

Saying this, he glanced at her bowl of porridge, then very naturally scooped out the largest piece of shrimp from it and ate it.

After finishing the meal, he licked his lips, looked up at her and smiled, nodding, "Mm, the taste is really quite good."
