When it was all over, there was another glow that appeared around the sword.

Only this time, that glow didn’t last long as it soon faded away.

It didn’t completely fade, there was a part of it that remained on the sword.

In fact, it seemed like it was shining from a specific part of the sword.

Once the glow faded, there was this mark that appeared.

"It’s actually a marked weapon!"

The flame figure recognized it right away, but it wasn’t the only one that recognized this. From the stands, it seemed like Xiao Mu was feeling the same kind of shock with how it was frozen there.

Xiao Mu could access the knowledge about weapon forging that the Dao Sect stored, so it only made sense that it was able to understand what this term meant.

Similar to how pills received marks when they reached a certain point, weapons could also receive a mark if they were considered to be of a certain quality.

There was no bad weapon among those that were able to receive a mark.

However, it wasn’t that easy to receive a mark.

Even those that had skills that could be considered best in the world wouldn’t be able to make marked weapons that easily.

But now, Lin Fan forged a marked weapon in a matter of minutes...

"What a monster."

That was the only thing that they could think when they saw the mark appear on the weapon.

Since the tribulation was over, Lin Fan turned back to present the sword to the flame figure.

Even though the flame figure had already said that he had passed the trial, Lin Fan did this because he wanted to get the flame figure’s opinion on this sword. He wanted to see just what kind of appraisal this expert would give the sword that he had forged.

Seeing Lin Fan offer the sword to him, the flame figure didn’t waste any time taking it to look over.

However, it wasn’t the only one that wanted to see it.

There was someone else that wanted to see the sword close up as well.

The problem was that they were currently in the spectator seats, so it wasn’t as if they could get to where Lin Fan and the flame figure was. All that happened was that they slammed into the barrier that separated the trial area from the spectator seats.

"Release this barrier already." Xiao Mu called out to the flame figure.

Only the flame figure was completely focused on the sword that it was holding.

It was strange to see a figure made of flames holding a sword, but the way that the flame figure held the sword showed the skills that it possessed when it was still human.

It was clear that whoever was currently possessing this Heaven and Earth Flame was someone that had reached the peak of weapon forging.

They made sure to check every single part of the sword, as if they were giving it a full appraisal.

After a while, the flame figure gave a sigh and said, "This really is quite the perfect sword."

Lin Fan hadn’t been worried when the flame figure had been looking over the sword since he had seen how it looked at it. He knew that what the flame figure was doing was admiring this sword, not looking for flaws with it.

Since the flame figure was done admiring the sword, Lin Fan reached out his hand to take the sword back.

When he did this, it seemed like the flame figure was a bit hesitant to give it back to him. But in the end, it still handed the sword back to him with another sigh.

After all, it wasn’t as if this flame figure would be able to do anything with the sword if it were to keep it since it was only a fragment soul.

Still, this was the yearning that it had as a proper weapon forger.

Once the sword was passed back, Lin Fan asked, "So what happens now?"

"Since you have already passed the trial, all that’s left is for you to accept the inheritance of this place."

The flame figure turned around and opened another door after saying this, but Lin Fan wasn’t surprised since this was what he had already experienced once with the alchemy hall.

He was curious what kind of things would be stored in this weapon forging hall for him to take.

But before leaving, there was a voice that made them realize that they had forgotten something.

"Release the barrier already!"

Turning to look at Xiao Mu who was still pounding on the barrier, Lin Fan revealed an awkward look since he had actually forgotten about Ye Qing Huan and Xiao Mu. He had been focused on learning the new techniques that he had exchanged for that he completely forgot about the two of them.

It seemed like it was the same for the flame figure since it had been stunned seeing the techniques that Lin Fan used.

So in the end, the barrier was released with a wave of its hand.

As soon as the barrier was released, Xiao Mu came over to their side and...

Lin Fan couldn’t even react with how fast Xiao Mu took the sword from him, but it wasn’t as if he was going to stop it from taking this sword. Since Xiao Mu was a part of their group, it wasn’t as if there was anything wrong with showing it this sword.

After taking the sword, Xiao Mu did the same thing as the flame figure where it started looking over the sword from every angle. Only instead of acting the same way as the flame figure who had admired it, it seemed like Xiao Mu was trying to find some kind of flaw with this sword.

Lin Fan couldn’t help shaking his head with a wry smile seeing this, but he didn’t stop her since it kept her silent.

Instead, he turned to the flame figure and gave a nod as if he was telling it to lead the way.

Xiao Mu was occupied with the sword, but Ye Qing Huan went behind it to guide it along while they headed towards the door the flame figure opened.

When they walked through, they found that they were inside some kind of forge.

It was to be expected that there would be this kind of forge in this weapon forging hall.

After bringing them here, the flame figure went over to the forge itself and then waved its hand once more at the flames that were inside. The flames that made up this flame figure seemed to condense inside of the forge itself to form a proper flame.

What was left behind after the flames disappeared was a human figure.

It was just like the one from the alchemy hall, this was the true form of one of the elders from the Dao Sect.

This figure actually looked similar to the one from the alchemy hall, almost as if they were related.

After the flames had condensed inside of the forge, the figure waved its hand once again and that flame came out of the forge. It floated over and stopped in front of Lin Fan.

Lin Fan already knew what this was about, this was another Heaven and Earth Flame that was being offered to him. It was just that he didn’t think that it would be a good idea to have another Heaven and Earth Flame.

After thinking about it, he suddenly turned around to look at Xiao Mu.

Xiao Mu seemed like it was still focused on the sword, so he gave a cough to get its attention. Only it didn’t seem like Xiao Mu realized what was happening until Ye Qing Huan reached out to take the sword from it.

Only then did Xiao Mu look up to see that everyone was looking at it.

"What is it?" Xiao Mu asked when it saw this.

Lin Fan didn’t speak to Xiao Mu directly and instead asked the old man, "Is it possible for it to absorb this flame instead?"

The old man seemed surprised to hear this before saying, "You need the flame to control this weapon forging hall."

"It’s fine, we can trust Xiao Mu." Lin Fan said without hesitation.

Ye Qing Huan nodded in agreement to this.

The old man looked a bit awkward hearing this, but then it looked closely at Xiao Mu. Before this, the old man seemed to only pay attention to Lin Fan and didn’t really care about Ye Qing Huan or Xiao Mu.

After checking Xiao Mu, the old man seemed to realize something.

With a faint smile, the old man said, "So it’s one of his puppets. It seems like you’ve already been exploring before this."

Then turning to Ye Qing Huan and narrowing his eyes, he said, "So it’s been bound to this little girl."

When he turned back to look at Lin Fan, he asked, "She hasn’t passed the trial, so it wouldn’t be right."

Lin Fan just took Ye Qing Huan’s hand and said, "I think if you look closely, you’ll see what kind of relationship we have."

The old man revealed a wry smile hearing this, but he didn’t bother answering this.

Instead, he just said, "Fine, if you insist. I’ll make an exception this one time because of the exceptional technique that you’ve shown."

With that, the flame floated over to where Xiao Mu was and waited for it to refine it.
