Wizard: I Have a Game Panel
Chapter 552 - 357: Ongoing Expansion (2)
"Hiss—"
Three beams of light effortlessly penetrated the sandstorm and struck the Sandworm King without any obstruction, obliterating its body instantly.
At the same time, whether intentionally or unintentionally, the moment the three energy beams hit the Sandworm King, each split into seven smaller beams and bombarded the surrounding seven Tier Five sandworms, leaving them with the same fate.
However, in the next moment, their bodies rapidly regenerated under the surge of the Power of Origin.
"Commence cyclic attacks, interval 0.1 seconds."
The Fourth Ring Mechanical Wizard issued another command, then sent a message to the lone cyan War Fortress beside the spatial rift, which hadn’t participated in releasing the Life Matrix: "Report to Speaker Jerald that an uncontrolled Tier Six creature has been identified in our current plane."
"There are seven Tier Five out in the open, with five hidden ones and over a hundred Tier Four creatures."
"The situation is now preliminarily under control. Reinforcements are needed to completely annihilate or control them and to explore the full situation of this plane."
"Estimated time to elimination: one hundred and thirty-two years."
"Additionally, this species seems to have a suppressive effect on certain desert terrains. It is suspected to be a tool species left behind by Tyana’s major civilization. It is recommended to control them for future use."
The Wizard Alliance is currently taking over the Plane Groups left by the Tier Seven civilizations.
In these Plane Groups, there are generally no exceptionally strong creatures, mostly some pure ’tool’ species, posing no threat to most of the large civilization’s garrison members.
If they were a bit stronger, they would have likely already been made vassals by major civilizations.
However, while they pose no threat to members of major civilizations, they are very threatening to mortals.
Therefore, the policy executed by the Wizard Alliance is generally to exterminate or use a Soul Contract.
The majority will be exterminated, with only a few useful species being subjected to a Soul Contract.
After all, Domenico is only one person, with time needed for cultivation and various experiments.
There simply isn’t enough time to establish so many Tier Five or Six Soul Contracts, allowing the entire Wizard Alliance to recklessly contract Tier Five or Six creatures.
"Received." A voice responded from within the cyan War Fortress, and it then flew into the spatial rift at a speed nearly impossible to see clearly.
Watching the cyan War Fortress disappear, the middle-aged Tier Four Wizard let out a small sigh of relief. With a slight smile, he communicated with the Mechanical Wizards in the other War Fortresses: "Little fellows, we’re in luck. As soon as we entered this plane, we achieved two minor collective accomplishments."
"Haha, the captain’s luck is great, drawing the open position rights for the central plane in this Plane Group."
"This time we’ve hit it big."
"With two small accomplishments, I can buy some Spiritual Enhancement Potion again."
"Tsk, I say, it’s better to cultivate spiritual power slowly. Why waste those accomplishments?"
"What do you know? It’s the era of great expansion. The sooner I advance to the Fourth Ring, the sooner I can lead an elite team to pioneer planes like the captain, rolling the snowball bigger, maybe even get a chance to impact the Seventh Ring someday!"
"Goodness, you’re really bold to think like that. You’re still at the Third Ring and already thinking about the Seventh Ring? Currently, there’s only Speaker Vincentia at the Seventh Ring in the whole Wizard Alliance, right?"
"To borrow a saying from those players, what’s the difference between a person without dreams and a salted fish?"
"Makes sense, seems like I should buy it too."
"Hey, hey, hey, why is everyone starting to compete?"
Sporadic cheers and discussions emanated from various War Fortresses, all seeming quite relaxed.
Their strength was laid bare.
Unless this plane had a Tier Six five-star or above creature, or more than twenty Tier Six creatures, they posed no threat.
But then again, Tyana’s major civilization wasn’t blind. How could they leave a Tier Six five-star creature for them to ’receive’?
If there are any Tier Six, they would only be tools to improve the environment or serve various other functions.
...
At the center of an Ocean Plane, thirteen planes away from the central plane.
"Splash—"
Above the undulating ocean, a flying object, about a hundred miles wide, hovered silently in the air, resembling both a War Fortress and a floating grand hall.
One by one, cyan War Fortresses, about a hundred meters in diameter, took off and landed on the front platform of the flying object.
Wearing Wizard Robes of the Third Ring Mechanical Wizard, several walked out from the cyan War Fortresses. Most of the Third Ring Mechanical Wizards queued at the registration area at the end of the docking zone to report their news, while a few bypassed the registry and headed directly into the War Fortress.
Those Mechanical Wizards in line outside glanced at their peers who headed straight into the War Fortress, eyes filled with envy mingling with jealousy.
Only those capable of controlling a Tier Four signal War Fortress could report intelligence directly to a Legislator.
And those who could control a Tier Six signal War Fortress, if carrying urgent information, could even report directly to the Speaker in person.
A young-looking Third Ring Mechanical Wizard moved swiftly past the crowd, heading into the fortress interior.
Pushing through three long corridors, passing the legislative report hall, he went directly to a great hall at the very core of the fortress.
"Come in."
Before the youth could speak, a calm voice came from inside the hall.
The young man pushed open the hall door per the voice’s command, entered, and bowed to the middle-aged Wizard, who sat at the far end of the hall busy writing, with no insignia on his collar: "Greetings, Speaker Jerald."
"Hmm." Jerald stopped his pen, looked up at the young man, and smiled, asking, "Tell me, what’s the situation with this Plane Group’s central plane?"
"The very edge of the plane is a desertified continent."
The young man dutifully reported, "On the continent are creatures capable of devouring sandstorms, with the strongest just entering Tier Six."
"Additionally, there are seven Tier Five in the open, five hidden ones, and over a hundred Tier Four."
"Currently, Captain Benny has initially controlled the situation and proposed using Soul Contracts..."
He recited the words of that Fourth Ring Mechanical Wizard in full.
"Alright, go back and tell him that reinforcements will arrive soon."
Jerald nodded, instructing, "Moreover, according to the current intel, credit him with two small collective accomplishments."
"Also, warn him against reckless behavior, or there will be severe punishment if anything goes wrong!"
With only three top-tier Mechanical Wizard teams distributed here and being tough to replenish, each loss hurt immensely.
Thus, even after countless past reminders, he’d still tirelessly repeat it a few more times, fearing those few would recklessly pursue merits.
"Understood." The young man bowed again, then swiftly exited the hall and headed outside the War Fortress.
"After over two hundred years, we’ve finally managed to pioneer half of this Plane Group."
Jerald gazed at the young man’s retreating figure, silently thinking: "But pioneering is just the first step, and also the simplest step."
"The subsequent work of altering the Plane Group’s environment and relocating mortals each requires time. It’s truly arduous!"
If it were a Wizard Plane Group, with the Wizard Plane and two hundred previously operated planes providing support, dozens of Speakers occasionally assisting, and a thousand legislators managing various affairs, expansion would be rather straightforward.
But for this Plane Group, he only received approximately one-fiftieth of the manpower, with himself as the sole Tier Six.
Truly establishing a framework would take a geometric increase in time.
Thankfully, he only needed to reach the step of migrating mortals to be done.
The rest, like establishing institutions suitable for the specific environment, creating plantable food, setting up academies, and mechanisms for talent selection, were not his concern.
Otherwise, he wouldn’t dare to imagine how long it would take to organize an entire Plane Group.
Slightly shaking his head, Jerald cast these worries aside, continuing to update the information regarding this Plane Group on the parchment before him.
Such documents were to be handed over to the next Speaker in the future, so they couldn’t be handled perfunctorily.
