Wizard: I Have a Game Panel
Chapter 553 - 358: Competing for the 8th-Tier Law Treasure
Wizard Calendar Year 12737, November 17.
At the center of the Vortex Plane Sea, near the void five space nodes above the sea level.
"Based on my calculations, the strange fluctuations of the first Tier Eight Law Treasure should be fading soon." Lor paused his reflection on the Origin Container, slowly opened his eyes, and activated Space Jumping Witchcraft, jumping westward.
Based on his initial calculations, in another five years, a Dark Law Treasure located in the west of the Vortex Plane Sea would emerge.
Due to slight errors in estimation compared to reality, he dared not time it precisely but chose to go in advance.
It’s worth mentioning that just a few years after that, the Tier Eight Wind Element Law Treasure he first encountered would emerge soon after.
If he can obtain both of these Tier Eight Law Treasures, it’s estimated that he could add another Life Tree Root in the Abyss.
...
In the western part of the Vortex Plane Sea, above a vortex diametrically over ten thousand miles wide, looking down from above, it resembles an abyss.
A hundred seventy-five Tide Spirits stared at the Tier Eight Law Treasure, a long black curtain-like formation about ten miles long and three miles wide surrounded by them, breathing slightly heavily.
While constantly eroding the barrier enveloping the Law Treasure, they also grew increasingly wary of each other.
Outside the defense barrier they constructed, there were nearly two hundred Tier Seven beings gathered in groups of three or five, intently perceiving the situation inside the joint defense barrier.
In addition, more Tier Seven beings were arriving, tearing space cracks, waiting for internal strife within the Tide Spirits.
Among these nearly hundred Tier Seven beings, at least half were in control of Law Treasures.
In fact, if they attacked the joint defense barrier together, they could directly suppress the one hundred seventy-five Tide Spirits inside and forcibly seize the Tier Eight Treasure.
But since Tide Spirits are practically unbeatable, true aggression could easily entangle them.
Subsequently, those Tide Spirits could summon backups, and with one wrong move, more than half of them might end up staying.
Besides, they couldn’t unify their intentions; the Tier Eight Law Treasure was a singular item, and who would claim it upon capture?
Due to these compounded reasons, they could only wait for internal strife among the Tide Spirits, then try to capture it by individual merit.
"Look, here comes the top prodigy of the Cloudly Civilisation, Robbie, whose Cloud Tide Law Strength reportedly reached 176, ranking among the top five of all present beings."
"This one is escorted by a Space Faction Tier Seven Cultivator. If I could find a Space Faction Cultivator to team up, my chances of capturing the Tier Eight Law Treasure would multiply by dozens, and the Tier Seven Law Treasure acquisition chances would even increase by hundreds."
"Ha, the Space Faction folks have such high standards. Wishing to team up without a Law Strength of at least 150? Dream on!"
"Those guys are truly unbearable!" Some being said indignantly: "Their high status outside is tolerable, but in the Vortex Plane Sea, where Tide Spirits greatly counter them, their status somehow rises instead of dropping."
"Indeed, I reckon any Space Faction Cultivator understanding the Space Jumping Law will surely gain at least ten Law Points this time, however minor they may be."
"Stop mentioning Space Faction Cultivators already, I’m tired of hearing about them. Do you want to bet on who will obtain the Law Treasure this time?" A being even initiated a bet: "The stake isn’t high, with the lowest bet at 0.001 Law Value, endorsed by the Wind Shadows Civilisation, bet freely without fear of evasion."
"I bet on Greymark, 0.005 Law Value."
"I bet on Nuo Bo, 0.01 Law Value."
"I bet on..."
The being organizing the bets seemed fairly known, as many Tier Seven beings transmitted their bets upon speaking.
While the betting excitement thrived among the beings, another space rift tore open in the void behind them.
Initially, nobody paid mind, considering more than ten Space Faction Cultivators gathered here; they were ubiquitous, hardly surprising.
Yet when they perceived a highly familiar figure exuding Tier Six life aura emerging from the space rift, they froze.
"Did I see correctly? Did he really show up?"
"Previously, when someone posted in the Civilisation Information Exchange List about his arrival at the Vortex Plane Sea, I thought it was nonsense, but..."
"I don’t care much about these, just one thing: did he indeed control the Law Treasure at Tier Six?"
"How is that possible? There’s never been such a precedent!"
"But previously, no Tier Six has ever been this formidable."
"This..."
"No, controlling a Law Treasure necessitates materializing the Law Prototype, which requires a Tier Seven breakthrough—strength and capability are entirely separate matters, not to be conflated."
"Nonsense. If he hadn’t controlled the Law Treasure, how dare he come to the Vortex Plane Sea? We’d consider his identity, but the Tide Spirits wouldn’t show such concern."
The Tier Seven beings were dumbfounded for a moment, then an uproar ensued.
Voices of doubt and debate flooded the void through sensory transmissions.
Having just arrived here, Lor naturally heard it all.
He had no intention to resolve their uncertainties, finding no meaning in it, merely silently casting his perception along the unfolded Realm of Illusion and Reality towards the joint defense barrier located nearly ten thousand miles away.
According to his detection before arriving, if the strange fluctuations persisted in contracting at the present pace, it would be utterly contracted within three years.
Though differing from his initial five-year estimation, the discrepancy was minor, anticipated.
As for appearing here rather than extending perception from a billion miles away via Virtual and Real Space.
