Wizard: Scamming a Demon God
Chapter 83 - 72: Isaac: White Hair is the Best
The plea for help had failed. This meant they would have to fight for a spot in the Divine Lamp Grand Trial themselves. It would be difficult; after all, Philis Town had a massive number of Adventurers, and Tier Two Transcendents were plentiful.
But there was still hope. The gap between Tier One and Tier Two wasn’t that large, and the three of them were all outstanding in their respective fields. Fighting above their tier was not a difficult feat.
At least for Isaac, as long as he was given time to prepare—and provided no High-level Knights or High-level Mages made a move—he wouldn’t be afraid even if every Adventurer in Philis Town attacked him at once!
"So, shall we go our separate ways for now?" Isaac asked Philo and Angel.
"I’ve already arranged for lodging. Won’t you join me?" Philo tilted her head, a sly smile playing on her lips. She simultaneously lifted a corner of her Wizard Robe, revealing a long, slender leg.
Isaac spared it a glance. ’Too bad,’ he thought. ’Just plain pants. Nothing special.’
"No, thanks. I still have some preparations to make, and it’s best I don’t scare you both. Until the qualification spots for the Trial are announced, let’s meet once every three days at the Veterans Tavern. That’s the plan."
With that, Isaac turned and left without a backward glance, leaving Philo and Angel standing there, watching his retreating figure, lost in thought.
After parting ways with Philo and the others, Isaac first drove his pumpkin carriage to the Veterans Tavern and rented a room. After a cursory glance at the accommodations, he didn’t linger. He drove his carriage straight out of town to a secluded thicket, opened the Flesh Dimension, and began casually tossing chunks of crimson Flesh Essence onto the ground.
He had much to prepare for the Divine Lamp Grand Trial. He not only had to deal with his rivals but also had to stay on guard against Philo... and Angel.
Therefore, he needed to increase his strength as much as possible. A Follower created using [God-Stealer] would be an excellent asset.
Soon, having taken out enough Flesh Essence, Isaac reluctantly closed the Flesh Dimension. ’I have to get some storage equipment as soon as possible!’ he silently resolved.
’Otherwise, using the Flesh Dimension to store so many items is just too wasteful.’
’The Flesh Dimension’s integrity is limited right now. Opening it too often could even cause it to collapse...’
’So I have to conserve it whenever possible!’
Using [God-Stealer] was actually quite simple. It didn’t require any complex materials—only Flesh Essence to form the body and a "cushion" to increase the margin for error. It was even simpler when drawing from the Master of Billions of Flesh, as the cushion was also just more Flesh Essence.
The cost-effectiveness was off the charts!
Therefore, Isaac simply confirmed the margin for error. After ensuring it reached its maximum of one thousand percent, he stood before the Flesh Essence. He made a pinching gesture with his left hand, and the book, *The God Stealer*, instantly materialized in his grasp.
RUSTLE RUSTLE RUSTLE~~
Accompanied by the rustling of pages, streams of green Magic Power poured unceasingly from the book and ignited the Flesh Essence before him!
A pillar of green Flame, visible only to him, surged toward the sky!
The green pillar of Flame shot up over ten meters before it seemed to be cut off by some invisible force, vanishing without a trace.
Isaac’s eyes held a profound glint. He knew the true gambit had begun.
Staring deeply into the green Flame, Isaac gently closed his eyes. His consciousness followed the Flame as it soared ever upward, arriving in a Mysterious Space.
This Space was different from the one he had witnessed during his deal with the Black Orc God. This place was far more... quiet, not nearly as turbulent. At the same time, Isaac noticed the percentage was dropping very slowly.
This might be because the Master of Billions of Flesh was in a deep slumber, or perhaps it was a unique property of [God-Stealer]. In any case, the situation couldn’t be more favorable for Isaac!
However, he did not act immediately. Instead, he waited quietly. Once the green Flame had spread throughout the Space, he began to gather the Power of the Demon God from the Master of Billions of Flesh within the flame-covered area. He then sent it back down through the pillar of Flame, infusing it into the Flesh Essence.
To Isaac’s surprise, the process was ridiculously smooth!
Isaac had never doubted he would succeed—after all, the "cushion" was stacked to the brim. But it was over a little too quickly. He had barely entered the body of the Master of Billions of Flesh before he shuddered once, and... it was finished.
’The margin for error only dropped by ninety percent...’
’I still have nine hundred and ten percent left...’
’This process is different from the transaction ritual. With the ritual, even though the margin for error drops quickly, the connection lasts for quite a while. At least I have time to react, and I can choose to end the ritual at any point before the margin for error drops to ninety-nine percent.’
’But [God-Stealer] is different. The moment the objective was achieved, my consciousness was immediately kicked out. I didn’t get to siphon off even a little extra Power of the Demon God.’
"Interesting~" Isaac mused, a smile playing on his lips as he rubbed his chin. He watched the Flesh Essence melt and fuse together within the roaring green Flame, forming a single fleshy tumor.
’These Outer Gods... it seems there’s still so much potential to exploit!’
WHOOSH~
Suddenly, the green Flame dissipated. A purplish-black, man-sized tumor throbbed powerfully on the bed of bushes, pulsing like a giant heart as the aura of a new life gestated rapidly within.
At the sight, Isaac quickly cast aside his distracting thoughts and projected his hopes for the new Follower’s appearance into the mass. ’Harmon and Shushu are already bizarre enough,’ he thought. ’This time, I’m hoping for something a little more normal!’
’Desperately hoping!’
He knew, however, that this was likely a pointless gesture. After all, he was still just an Official Wizard. In both the fundamental nature and the sheer level of his power, he was sorely lacking.
Although he had mastered the ability to create Followers thanks to [Legend], he couldn’t shape their appearance at will like a true Deity could. In the end, it all came down to luck.
And it was the kind of luck that even his Golden Finger couldn’t influence.
THUMP-THUMP~
Suddenly, as if in response to Isaac’s thoughts, the tumor jumped violently twice. It then split down the middle and melted away. After a moment, a silver-haired maid about five-foot-five, her hair done up in twin-tails, stood in the center of where the tumor had been, her eyes closed.
The silver-haired maid’s eyelashes twitched. Then, she slowly opened her eyes, revealing irises as beautiful as any Ruby!
!!!
Isaac’s eyes went wide. ’This... this is... she’s completely my type!’
After all, what man in this world could possibly refuse the ultimate maid: silver hair, twin-tails, red eyes, and a well-endowed figure?
Her appeal was devastating!
"Master." The silver-haired maid’s red pupils scanned her surroundings before she bowed respectfully to Isaac.
HSSSSS!!!
Isaac sucked in a sharp breath. ’And she’s the quiet, emotionless type!’
’This is going to be the death of me!’
Of course, he was so stunned that he failed to notice the melted remnants of the tumor at the silver-haired maid’s feet quietly vanish. Thanks to her stoic demeanor, he also failed to notice the subtle look of relief that flickered across her face...
