Chapter 26: Dungeon

—Woo Jin’s POV—

A big villa was located near a tall hill. Just as big as it was, it felt luxurious as well. But the thing that made it stand out even more was its surroundings.

On its right side was a small custom forest and on the left side was a small pond, in which a few ducks were swimming.

It seemed like the duck themselves were also a part of the villa. Elena must have spent tons of money on it. Otherwise it wouldn’t have looked like this.

However, to me it didn’t matter how beautiful or magnificent it was. I had lived my life in a small room before, so even if I didn’t have this in this life I would have still lived my way through it.

But currently I was sitting in one of the villa’s rooms. After reaching here, Sophie had specifically led me to my room.

In this huge place finding my room would have taken much longer time so I acted like I couldn’t walk properly. Then, Elena ordered her to help me walk to my door.

After doing so, both of them had left for the Association building. After all, they might have a lot of work to do.

Inside, the floor was made of wood and I had my legs crossed as I was sitting on it. My mind works a little better when I am on the ground rather than on a chair or bed.

It was a habit I had developed from continuously sitting on the ground because we didn’t have many things in our house.

Well, let’s just start by thinking about a way to get mana. I can’t let Viora wait for long. For now I need 96 points.

I was gonna do just that but the pain in my chest made me unable to do so.

Even though it had been more than half an hour since I left her, I was still feeling that tingling ache in my heart.

I thought it would get lower after a few minutes but I suppose my guess was wrong.

Instead of reducing, it was getting more and more intense to the point that I had to go and drink a whole bottle of water two times after reaching here.

Hah...

I sighed and let myself fall back until I was laying straight on the ground. My arms were stretched out at my sides and my mind was filled with Viora’s thoughts.

I should have talked to her one last time and told her that I was just leaving for a bit.

"Why did I have to leave so quickly?"

In the back of my mind I knew that I had to leave right at that time, because if not, then I may not have found out about my house and gotten the freedom to get out of there and complete my quest.

And yet, I didn’t want to believe it. I felt as if I had done something really wrong. I should apologize to Viora when I go back. I hope she isn’t mad by then.

’Let’s put pressure on my head. Maybe I can find a clue if I replay the scenes from the story in my mind.’

I closed my eyes and began to think about the series. Every major event, arc, turning point, and every least important conversation which I remembered began to shift through my mind.

I began from the start and slowly made my way to the middle. There I saw something resembling the same building I was in.

Wait!

My eyes shot open and I lifted myself and sat up.

’This is it.’

If I remember correctly then around this time a low-rank dungeon had appeared near Elena’s house.

Since this building was kinda isolated from the outside world and was made in a danger zone for whatever reason Elena had in her mind.

So, I think the memory might actually be correct.

If that is the case then I shouldn’t waste anymore time sitting here. I need to find this dungeon and assess the situation before it gets cleared.

Because I remember the story mentioning some hunters being sent to clear it. Though I don’t know who they are or how they looked but I can’t just let this opportunity go to waste.

I will first check it and if it is too much for me then I will fall back.

Elena had told me not to leave the house but I am still gonna go.

"Well then,"

I smiled faintly and set out to find the so-called dungeon.

After coming out into a place where there were shops, houses, and people, I went to one shop specifically.

The owner of the shop looked a bit old so I think I can ask him. Since I didn’t exactly know the dungeon’s location I had to do some digging first.

"Hello, do you know if there are any dungeons nearby? I just moved into this neighborhood so I want to avoid places where there can be danger."

I asked and the old man stared at me for a moment before he closed his eyes and turned away.

"There is one around the corner."

He gestured toward a secluded place and following that I walked toward it. But I still wasn’t able to find it easily. I even got lost two times and had to ask someone again before I actually was able to see a big blue light swirling in air like a whirlpool.

It was the dungeon.

However, I also saw something I actually was expecting but it still took me off guard.

I saw three people standing in front of it. To be more precise, I saw three... hunters.

And judging by their aura, they were definitely not ordinary hunters.
