They watched her saunter into the forest as if she owned the place, showing no surprise or caution at being somewhere completely new.

"One day, we might actually die in Alisa’s hands. Why can’t she greet someone like a normal person?" Julian complained as he rubbed his numb hand.

The thought of seeing her again sent a chill down their spines, and Julian quickly looked away from where she had disappeared to.

Ethan gave a strained smile at Julian’s words. Ever since he could remember, his elder sister has always been erratic—she doesn’t think like a normal person.

"But it’s baffling. Every time she sees us, she tries to kill us. But... remember that time in the dungeon, when you almost died to that SS-ranked monster? She went berserk and tore it apart like it was nothing. I don’t understand," Julian muttered, rubbing his chin, his expression puzzled and conflicted.

"Maybe she thinks only she’s allowed to kill us—no one else. I don’t know what goes on in her mind. Forget it, let’s go check out the spaceship."

Ethan shrugged it off, knowing he would only get answers if Ailsa chose to speak. He stepped forward—then paused, his expression turning solemn.

"We have to make sure she never comes near Eva," Ethan muttered in a serious tone, glad he remembered this.

Julian’s expression shifted instantly. The idea of Alisa hurting Eva caused his eyes to flicker with murderous intent for the first time when he thought of Alisa.

"She doesn’t harm people around us... she shouldn’t attack Eva," Julian muttered aloud, hoping to sound confident, but a hint of doubt slipped through.

"We just need to tell Eva about her so she can be on guard, and Eva shouldn’t be alone until we’re sure Alisa won’t attack her," Ethan decided, and his steps quickened as he walked toward the spaceship.

Julian followed along, and they brushed past Ethan’s father like a stranger would pass another stranger on the same street.

The middle-aged man’s eyes flickered briefly upon seeing his son; his face stayed neutral, but the small pause in his steps revealed he wasn’t as indifferent as he seemed.

The crowd started exploring their surroundings in groups of two or three, ensuring they stayed close together and didn’t wander too far.

They noticed another group working to clear the surrounding trees, and some of them went over to speak with them, hoping to understand the surface through their experience.

The once quiet, nearly deserted island grew lively and crowded; children ran and played along the shore while adults kept a careful watch.

As dusk settled in, bonfires flickered to life across the island, and the air filled with soft laughter and chatter as people cooked, ate, and eagerly exchanged stories with the newly arrived.

Grace, Leo, and the others sat in a separate area away from the crowd. A table laden with food lay before them as they listened to Eva share what happened in the desert.

"The land beasts are more dangerous?" Grace asked as she filled her plate with food.

"Hmm, the desert is dangerous, and the beast always attacks in groups. Then there’s the corrosive rain." Eva paused as she took a piece of roasted fish and mixed it with a spoonful of rice.

Grace, Leo, and the others waited for her to continue, only to see her engrossed in eating with a blissful expression, her cheeks puffed with food as she prayed open the crab to get its flesh. 𝕗𝐫𝚎𝗲𝘄𝐞𝕓𝐧𝕠𝘃𝕖𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝚖

Julian coughed awkwardly, trying to hide his laughter. He knew that was the end of the discussion— to Eva, dinner was far more important than what she was telling them.

Stone was dying with anxiety, eager to shake Eva awake so she would keep talking, but he dared not in front of Grace and Leo.

Then he turned to Ethan, signaling with his eyes for him to speak. But Ethan ignored the hint, carefully picking the bones from the fish on his plate before placing it in her bowl.

Julian moved the cold orange juice closer to her and focused on eating before the food disappeared.

Seeing nobody was going to speak, Stone could only let out a depressed sigh and focus on his food like the others.

’(o´▽`o) The food today is more delicious and spicy. The chef must have been hiding his skill all this time, or maybe it’s the new spice... Um, was I saying something before?’ Her last words made her pause slightly as she tried to think, but the thought vanished when her gaze landed on the stewed totters.

’I’ll remember if it’s important.’ With that thought, she reached for the plate.

Dinner ended, and Eva sprawled on the ground with a satisfying burp and without a care for her image.

Grace chuckled helplessly and was relieved that, although the surface was dangerous, her daughter wasn’t hurt.

"You did a good job finding this island. My subordinate, the other administrators, and I will take it from here."

Grace praised them with a sincere smile before relieving them of their duty.

Eva felt a weight lift off her shoulders and, subconsciously, felt lighter — they wouldn’t have to worry about those people’s safety or supervise them while they built the stronghold.

They can choose to stay behind or explore this vast sky.

"Ah, good radiance. Woohoo, I’m free!" Eva cheered, but Grace’s next words made her choke on her saliva.

"You can choose to explore the other islands or give me a grandchild."

"Cough! What?!" Eva thought she must have misheard, but as soon as she caught Grace’s serious gaze, she quickly jerked her head away as if burned—completely missing the teasing glint in Grace’s eyes.

Her words made Ethan and Julian’s eyes light up, and Eva’s face reddened like a ripe tomato in front of everyone.

Unable to take it anymore, she quickly slipped into her space, too embarrassed to see anyone.

Leo looked at his wife in shock, then shot daggers at his two sons-in-law, making them straighten up with well-behaved expressions.

"You’d better explore other islands... Eva’s too young," Leo warned in a threatening tone, and they nodded quickly in response.

Inwardly, they left it to fate. After all, with the intimacy they shared during that time, she might already be carrying a little Eva.

Ethan and Julian suddenly felt a sense of urgency. They had to build their home and ensure there were no dangerous monsters lurking around the islands.

A sudden chill swept through their lower bodies, and they instinctively looked up—only to find Aaron staring at them with a blank expression.

If it weren’t for Eva, they would have been crippled long ago.

"Dad, Mom, Grandpa. Goodnight. Tomorrow, we’ll head to the next island." Julian stood up, Ethan murmuring goodnight, and they both hurried to their tent.

They had a feeling that if they delayed for even a second, Aaron would stew their vital parts and feed them back to them. They’d thought he had learned to ignore them, but it seemed that Eva’s pregnancy had touched his reverse scale.

As soon as they were out of view, Leo led Grace into their tent with a frustrated huff.

"If you want grandchildren, then force Aaron to marry. That boy lives like a robot, without feeling, and he’s not getting any younger. Not my precious daughter." Leo’s voice softened at the last words, a sharp contrast to his tone when talking about Aaron.

Grace shook her head, a helpless smile tugging at her lips. "I was only teasing Eva. You’ve seen how lazy she can be—if not watched closely, she’d spend every day eating and sleeping."

She recalled the few days they had lived together, how she had to drag Eva out of bed to train, and shook her head, thinking she should have assigned her more tasks.

"And it’s not that easy to conceive—it took me twenty years to have Aaron. So there’s nothing to fear," she added, not realizing that the low birth rate was due to a lack of sunlight and proper nutrition.

Leo breathed a quiet sigh of relief. While he would love to have grandchildren, he wasn’t ready for it to happen so suddenly—he still felt he hadn’t spoiled his daughter enough.

"Alright, time to sleep—we have a busy day tomorrow." Grace led him back to their cabin to rest.

As the night deepened, the island slowly fell silent, filled only with the soft rhythm of snores and the gentle crackle of burning wood.
