The two boys have already arrived at their home, while the three who are trailing behind them are only following the remnants of the traces that Darius is following. They are not planning to appear to them, more like they used their pathing to get out of the forest without getting caught up in what the boys said about the shifting movements that the forest does periodically.

It didn’t take them too long to get out of the forest, allowing them to sigh in relief. However, they didn’t let their guard down. After all, the moment they went out of the forest, not too far from them is a farm. It looks normal from the outside, but for Darius, Io, and Arlo, who are not humans in the first place, they can see what regular humans won’t see upon looking at the farm.

"What kind of farm is this? The farm itself is seeping with energy, to the point that I can detect a lot in here. I can’t even describe what I am sensing just being near the farm. I don’t know how it is capable of confusing my senses with what I am detecting there," Darius rubs his temple to soothe and massage it.

"Does that mean we can hide there and cover our tracks? If we can do that, then we can use this chance to evade any pursuit from the enemies," Arlo looked at Io and Darius.

"Isn’t that dangerous? If something is causing your senses to muddle there, wouldn’t that mean there’s something that is capable of doing that there? We will be in so much danger otherwise!" Io warned.

Darius ponders it for a bit. "It is a tempting plan. And in fact, something that I might even do. But I can agree on Io’s fears as well. If something is capable of confusing my senses just like that, someone might be capable of doing that is residing there. However, we can play this right and use this chance to camp near this farm, cover our traces with the help of what is able to muddle senses in here, and mix our presence on that, allowing ourselves to delete what presence we have. We don’t necessarily need to be inside the farm to do that."

"Then, are you suggesting we make a little camp here and hide?" Io looked at Darius with a frown.

"If we needed to survive, then we would use all tools to survive. It doesn’t matter if it is dangerous, as long as we can use it to our advantage," Darius is certain this time around.

As much as Io wants to protest, she has no alternative plan that would be good enough to replace what Darius suggested. Considering their enemies are capable of sensing their presence, something that muddles the mind of the searcher is a good way to escape and take cover .

Since this is the case, the three decided to get closer to the farm’s rear entrance.

But as soon as they step near it, a sudden force quickly catches their legs, and in a second, a sticky web tightens around their body. Io, Darius and Arlo tried to remove the web from their bodies, but they failed.

"What the heck? What’s this!?" Arlo struggles to tear the web to no avail.

"My magic is not working at all! I can’t move!" Io struggles, and just like Arlo, she is also trying to tear the web in her body, but using magic. But that too is not enough to fully remove it completely.

"Hold on, I will save you two!" Darius tries to tear the web apart using his raw strength.

For Darius, he is confident of his strength, and it is not something to be laughed at. Considering how strong his physique is, he isn’t just proud of it; he is capable of doing something that humans cannot.

"Urgh! Eeghh! Graaaah!"

Darius tried to use his raw strength to break free from the web. However, as soon as he tried to do so, it seemed the web strengthened itself further and tightened further, stopping him from doing anything that would allow him to flex his arms and break free. It was like the web had a mind of its own.

"Did someone set up a trap beforehand, and we just unfortunately triggered it?!" Darius now ends up regretting the plan he thought of. The plan to hide their traces turned out to be a trap to capture them.

Darius’s mind goes into places, trying to think of who might be the perpetrator of the trap, how it happened, and how they managed to predict the initial plan. 𝙛𝒓𝓮𝙚𝔀𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝒐𝒎

As the three struggle, the one responsible for the trap appears before them. The three were obviously shocked. They thought the one who created it was a person. It wasn’t a person at all; it was a giant spider, larger than them.

Its eyes are glowing bright, dangerously to the point that they wanted to scream in terror.

"Ack! A spider! What the hell?! Why is it so huge?! And why is it here on this farm in the first place! Aaaah! Don’t eat us!" Arlo screamed as he tried to struggle to get off from the web’s grasp. Of course, the more he moves, the tighter it gets.

Due to the noises that Arlo is making, the bees that are busy working on their usual honey-making are disturbed. This caused the bees to be provoked and go out to see what is going on.

The moment that the huge bees that the farm is raising come out, the three can only scream for help in hopes that someone would actually rescue them and get them out of their current predicament and not become food for these huge insects, looming at them.

At this point, the ruckus that they are doing are enough to alert the people on the farm and the current situation that is happening with the three poor individuals caught in a web.

Elaina is still studying the stuff in her Almanac and its new functions when she noticed that the situation outside is a bit rowdy. And for some reason, she is hearing unfamiliar voices and some screaming. Elaina is sure that the kids are not rowdy when playing, and even when they do, they don’t get to the point that they would be screaming from the top of their lungs.

The screams she has been hearing for a while now are the sound of someone screaming in horror. She grabs her sword, closes the Almanac, and lets it disappear before rushing to the area where the situation is causing trouble. Looks like the trap that Silk laid out for those she didn’t identify has been triggered and caught some poor individuals in the process.
