Chapter 377: Chapter 377: All Things Frozen

A blue armour of ice appeared on her body and her staff turned into an ice staff, behind her a projection of a beautiful woman appeared.

The moment this happened, the fire elemental attacked, it sensed the threat she posed at that moment.

However it was too late, Elizabeth looked up, " I can see you." She whispered, normally she would not be able to see its movement speed.

Yet now she could clearly follow its actions. A ball of fire descended from the sky, she raised her ice staff.

A single ice spike shot up and met the fireball, an explosion followed and steam fog spread out.

Dozens of kilometres were surrounded by steam fog, those below heard explosions and collisions above.

Elizabeth was excited, the power flowing through her was beyond anything she had ever wielded.

It made her believe she could destroy entire worlds and this was merely a fragment of the holy lady’s power.

However the more she fought the more she realised it was different from the magus path of their world.

Entirely different and much much more powerful, the essence energy inside her felt thicker and more pure.

Most of all, it was inside her and nourishing her body making her stronger, the magus path did not work like that.

Even magic warriors who focus on physical strength, the power comes from the enhancement of the runic circles, not their muscles.

She couldn’t understand how this worked and would have to wait for the holy maiden to wake up and ask.

Right now she needed to deal with the enemy in front of her, the image behind her seemed to be whispering to her.

Telling her how to use the power in her hands, she waved her staff and a giant hand of ice grabbed towards the giant of fire.

It roared and created a sword of fire, the two clashed and she came out on top. The hand lost most of its power but the sword disappeared completely.

Before the giant could retreat it was slapped to the ground by the ice hand, it hit the ground like a meteor.

A wave of fire spread out and burnt the church forces to ashes, those that survived ran in fear.

Everybody looked up and saw Elizabeth standing there like a goddess with a giant image behind her.

" God’s avatar." They whispered in hush voices, none could believe it, a human using an avatar.

A power reserved for Gods, it was inconceivable to them but it was happening right in front of their eyes.

The empire forces started chanting while the church forces were dejected, their God had been slapped to the ground like a child.

The fake god flew back up," You will pay for that!" He shouted and attacked.

A javelin of fire more than a hundred metres long cut through the air like a streak of light heading for Elizabeth.

A shield of ice appeared in front of her and blocked the javelin, they reached a stalemate for a moment.

Then the javelin shattered into a rain of fire that rained below. The elemental grew even more insane.

It couldn’t understand how this lowly human kept blocking its attacks over and over again.

As a creature born in fire, it was prideful and looked down on lowly humans, this situation was driving it mad.

" AHHHHH." It roared loudly and its flames blazed high, it lunged at her like a burning meteor.

Elizabeth pointed her staff at it and fired a beam of fire, the air froze and the beam hit the elemental almost instantly.

The elemental was pushed back dozens of kilometres, it hit an distant mountain and shattered it to fragments.

The heat melted the mountain and a split second later it froze, the elemental appeared beneath the ice.

Its flames burnt and melted the ice, it flew out and roared like a mad beast. It raised its hands and pointed to the sky.

A fireball appeared then it grew larger and larger and in a blink of an eye it looked like a blazing sun.

The temperature rose so high even the humans below found it hard to breathe, Elizabeth frowned.

" You lowly humans, daring to defy the will of a God, I will raze this world to the ground and turn it to ashes!"

He shouted loudly, the people below grew terrified, those from the church panicked even more.

" No lord please don’t, you’ll kill us too, please spare us, We’ve been loyal to you."

They begged but their pleas fell on deaf ears, the elemental rose to the sky and reached outer space.

Its fireball grew so large it reached the size of a continent, its temperature was so high, the layer of clouds started disappearing slowly.

The snow that had been falling over this world for five years started disappearing and stopped falling.

The blanket of white that covered the earth melted and giant floods covered almost the entire world.

They all gathered towards the lower region as if to form a sea. People died, some drowned and some were killed by the rising heat.

Elizabeth saw this and felt a pang of pain in her heart, " You’re no god, you’re just a pathetic bully who only bullies the weak."

The elemental heard that and grew even more insane, Elizabeth turned towards the forces of the church.

" Is this the god you worship. This heartless monster is the one you call your saviour?"

They all looked down in shame, they now realised their Gods really did not care about their lives.

The image behind her whispered in her head and she listened. She raised her staff and pointed it up.

A single drop appeared above it, the drop started small and kept growing, however a layer of ice appeared around her body.

She couldn’t handle this power and it was freezing her on a molecular level but she didn’t care.

This was a sacrifice she was willing to make for her world, her people saw this below and screamed.

They cried for their princess, she looked down and smiled. The ice had covered half of her body and kept rising.

The elemental threw its fireball down and and she fired the fist sized ball of pure blue ice.

" All things frozen." She whispered.
