The tiny orb rose to meet the sun like giant ball of fire, the elemental laughed like a maniac.

It was assured of its victory, the difference between the two was too vast, there was no way its fireball would lose.

Yet when they collided, what its had expected did not happen, the world stood still for a split moment.

Then the a wave of cold energy spread out, the fireball froze in a ball of fire surrounded by ice.

An impossible phenomenon had occured in front of everybody’s eyes, the elemental barely had time to be confused.

The wave of cold energy washed over him and froze him into a solid statue of ice, his body shattered and scattered into tiny ice particles.

The continent sized flame and ice floated above the planet like a moon. They had won yet the moon was somber.

The princess floated in the sky still holding her staff up, her body was frozen into solid ice.

They couldn’t detect any life signs out of her, her soldiers cried uncontrollably, the church forces took advantage of that.

They tried to attack but a single snowflake fell from the sky, it landed gently amidst their army.

" Huh?" The soldiers whispered in confusion. Before they could react a wave of snow spread out.

It covered dozens of kilometres and froze every soldier and official of the church but those of the empire were spared.

The empire soldiers and citizens wanted to celebrate but looking at their princess, they were not in the mood.

They took her body back to the capital and tried to unfreeze her but it was as if she was not covered in ice but crystals instead.

Eventually they gave up, the seat on the throne remained vacant and the princess was recorded as the greatest ruler in history.

Her reign lasted no more than a year yet she went down as the greatest, her sacrifice had touched the hearts of the entire world.

From that day forth, her world stopped worshiping Gods and the belief of the holy maiden bloomed.

They didn’t worship her similar to how they worshipped Gods, there were no rules based around her.

No doctrine stated to be hers nor were there any churches built around her, people did not pray for things.

They merely thanked her for what they had but never asked for anything. Time passed and just like that two years went by.

In those two years, a council of sort was formed to govern the world, the entire world became one nation.

There were no separate organisations like the church. Inside the palace in a room of ice and snow.

A beautiful woman lay in bed with her eyes closed, two years had passed and Naledi had finally formed another soul origin drop.

With two drops, she was positive she’ll be able to heal her spirit, also in the past two years.

She had felt tiny trickles of energy flowing inside her, she couldn’t explain where the energy came from or what it does.

It disappeared almost as soon as it appeared so she decided to ignore it and pretend it wasn’t there.

Naledi summoned her image, those standing outside saw it standing above the palace.

It looked identical to the one they saw being used by the princess, for a moment they thought maybe the princess was back.

But when they looked for her ice statue they found it unchanged, then it dawned on them, the princess’s power had been borrowed.

Then this meant the one waking up was the holy Maiden, this was bigger news than if the princess had came back to life.

The news spread across the kingdom, everybody converged towards the capital in less than a week.

In that week Naledi had been trying to merge the two soul origin drops together in hopes that will enhance their power more than if she used them one by one.

She was close to succeeding, what she didn’t know was that the entire kingdom was watching her work.

In front of the palace stood so many people they reached the horizon, all waiting eagerly to lay their gaze upon the holy maiden.

Finally she was done, a single soul origin drop fell on her forehead, it was much darker than normal soul origin drops.

The moment it touched her, she felt a wave of soul energy coursing through her body strengthening her soul.

Her spirit healed rapidly and in less than a hour she was good to go but the changes were not done.

Her soul grew stronger and stronger with each passing moment, at some point it surpassed the strength of her body by a large margin.

Normally when the container could no longer hold the substance, it would explode but her body did not.

Instead it started fading as if disappearing and two days later all that was left was her soul.

She had gained the ability to turn into soul form because of how powerful her soul had become.

She could feel that her body was still there and she could easily shift to it anytime she wanted.

This new soul form seemed to come with some advantages but she would have to test them to be certain.

The one she was most positive about was physical damage negation, only attacks with soul damage can hurt her now.

Even then, the damage output to hurt souls would have to rival the output to hurt the physical body.

However very few abilities had the means to directly target the soul with that much damage output.

Images and avatars could barely hurt souls, which is why it was nearly impossible to kill somebody with an image alone unless they’re much weaker than you.

Avatars were an exception but only because their laws target the physical body more, so it was possible to kill somebody.

However destroying their souls was harder, even Ved was able to take an attack from a comprehension realm and live.

While it did damage his soul, it was not at the extent of his physical damage. Naledi couldn’t help but smile happily.

She was very satisfied with her new ability but keeping it active seemed to drain mental energy.

She took her physical form again but she felt bloated. ’ I need to find a way to lower this discomfort.’ she thought.

Then her body flicker and she appeared in front of an ice statue of a woman, then she realised.

There were tens of millions of people standing behind her all looking at her with reverence.

’ Shit, no wonder he hates it.’
