"Life is so fragile, blood angel. Does it have any meaning?" The king asked with his voice echoing in the sky.

The sky turned red with small needles, each in the size of a finger, after many trials and errors. Ray found this method to be more efficient; they followed his target and exploded upon impact.

The black figure disappeared from eyesight.

Star Crimson blocked a green mace above his head; small needles rained from the sky after him, but a burst of light vaporized all of them at once.

From the small gases in the air, small needles reshaped themselves.

His foe was too fast for his eyes to follow, yet all of his strikes were blocked by Star Crimson, changing his style; his attacks carried tens of beams of light.

Surpassing the speed of light was beyond the limits of Ray’s body; instead, he just continued to stand his ground.

"This is just one magic trick! What kind of monster is he? Ray didn’t have the time to attack; his strikes became more fierce with each impact.

Slowly his body fell behind his mind; blood crimson missed the mark by an inch. It crushed his hand completely to his shoulder. A light shone from its head; for a second Ray could see it charging the mace.

Three red claws at once attacked him from all sides; he teleported back a few meters, enough for a clone of Ray to unleash the crimson star.

A purple burst crushed on the king’s body, destroying the whole city and the ground beneath them with it. Being an immortal-level attack, very few things could block it, and none of them were the earth. The nova blast didn’t just kill any human in the city; it vaporized them.

Penetrating the ground, when its energy ended, Ray could see lava in the bottom of the hole that the impact had made.

The king of silence rose from the dust; his body had no scratches on it. "Congratulations, blood angel; you made me use another magic." Around him a wall of green stones was half destroyed.

"Jade magic... one of the best as a tank!" Ray cursed; he probably had healing magic plus two other magics for offense.

The situation that he found himself in was helpless; no immortal was stupid enough to face the monster, plus the artifact was still somewhere on earth.

"Just like your previous lifeblood angel, you don’t care about anyone but yourself."

Light beams attacked him from behind with the opponent charging from forward. A shield rose from his robe, blocking most of the light beam, but a green made landed on the blade of Star Crimson, making a huge impact on Ray’s side.

Impact sent him flying to the ground; as he found his footing, another strike came. A red claw came to being on the place that the king wanted to attack from, but it hit a green wall, destroying both at the same time.

"Your jade magic is not immortal-level..." His red claw couldn’t destroy it if it were a level 10; however, it didn’t change anything for Ray.

The mace came again from the top, sending him flying.

"Statue of one hundred hands."

A giant green doll as big as hundreds of meters in height was summoned behind him; from each part, tens of hands grew, each one having a sword in hand.

Pointing at the statue, an orb of magic moved from his body to the huge object, causing some of the hands to turn into light.

"Fuck..." In a blink a rain of blades aimed for his life; due to the absurd size of the equipment, only two hands could attach at the same time. Ray blocked the strikes from the king, Light’s hands got him from time to time, and he let his robe take care of the jade hands.

His movements were more like a dance between the inhuman attacks; dodging a light hand that aimed for his neck, Ray finally found the opening he had hoped for.

The hands and the owner of them didn’t work quite well together; in order to not hit him, they didn’t aim for the locations that he wanted to attack from.

"Got you." Six red claws attacked the place that the king wanted to attack from; sensing the attack, the king moved to his back, but a jade hand was already on the way.

A wall of jade blocked the attack, but Ray’s scythe came for him before he could react; even with the speed of light, he still had to follow human rules. The purple weapon caught four of his fingers before a light hand cut Ray’s shoulder.

With a smirk on his back, Ray flew back and summoned Star Crimson once more. "Now, show me your healing magic."

The king turned toward him once more; a yellow liquid took the place of the lost fingers, and in a second they were back to normal.

"Bee magic!" Unlike its name, it had great potential in self-healing; because of that reason, people with that magic usually couldn’t do anything. It could even cure them if they lost their heart or brain. "In terms of healing we are on the same level."

"Blood angel, what are you aiming to achieve with such a small injury? Just like you, I wouldn’t die this simply."

Ray licked his lips; he had no way to kill him yet! "For someone with the title of king of silence, you talk a lot."

"I just don’t find others worthy of my words." Another mace was summoned in his other hand. "You disappoint me; for some time ago you just wanted to find out about my magic and run away and return with a way to kill me."

"I will kill you no matter what, or I will die while trying! But only a fool will waste his life." Ray knew better than anyone else that the opponent was way behind his league, but at that moment knowledge meant more than anything.

"How about those that you killed without hesitation? Billions of lives were worth it for you to understand that I have jade magic?"

"Wanna know the truth? I don’t give a fuck about anything as long as I can kill you; if I have to sacrifice this whole planet to kill you, I will." Ray swung the scythe around; only two more magics were left.

Two wings grew from the king’s back, with his weapons emitting a new type of magic. "Let me show you the depths of despair, blood angel."

Seeing the familiar magic, Ray’s expression turned dark; he had fought that magic before. A magic that he only could describe as perfect magic.
