Chapter 176: Battle of beasts 2

The king of silence used his maximum speed; with the speed of light, everything became slower around him. The monster didn’t have a sustainable system; if he drained most of its magic, it would have faded away.

Blood Magic was the only person that could predict his attacks, but the monster launched itself toward him midair.

"Wh—" A jade hand landed on the black figure; the blade made out of jade shattered like glass upon the impact.

Tens of mouths appeared on different parts of the devil’s vessel; mindlessly, it followed the king’s trace in hopes of eating him.

"Deflection." A burst of gravity magic deflected anything around him; in hope of making the monster a little slower, he used jade magic too by putting cages around it.

None of them were effective as it passed any obstacle with ease, and none of the attacks worked on it; the aura protecting it had a way higher density.

"Is it immune to gravity?" King whispered to himself while changing the gravity of its body, yet it had no effect on its speed whatsoever.

Their distance was around 100 meters, but as time passed, although King put many objects on its path, their distance had decreased to half that.

"Is it faster than the speed of light????" That could have explained why gravity had no effect on it. "Guess I have no choice."

He turned around to face them. They were already among the clouds, his maces charged with a purple magic. Igniting his maces with the nova magic, an eye from Mars gazed at him.

Swinging his mace, a wave of nova blast followed its head. A hand stopped the mace midair; the sky exploded with the sudden magic, but the monster held the mace in its grip.

Seeing its intention, the king put more nova magic into the weapon; its temperature rose to thousands and more, but the dark hand added more strength. With a crack, it fell apart, sending both of them flying.

"So this is a fragment of a firstborn..." An old man’s voice came from behind him.

"Guardian," King didn’t turn around to see him; with a threat that could destroy all earth, he would have shown up eventually. "Continue to attack until it runs out of magic."

It had already used 3 percent of all of its magic; humans’ resources were nothing compared to the amount of magic that it consumed in each second.

The ground turned into a sea of hot lava, with the goal of caging the monster the two attacked at the same time. With only one mace, the king struck from the right while the old man attacked from the left.

With their combined strengths, they could land a few hits; the monster tried to eat the guardian’s head. Seeing the opening, a cross of light impaled its chest. The old man teleported above him, and with a hammer made out of diamonds, he sent the creature flying to the sea of lava.

All the lava crumbled into a small orb around the body of the monster.

"Nova breath." Holding air inside his mouth, the king roared, and a wall of flames came out of his mouth to the orb in the ground. Millions of lightsabers circled around them in the air; all of them launched at the dark creature, and all of them faded away before landing on its body.

"It wants to attack." The old man’s hands opened to the sky; floor by floor, 2 kilometers of diamond were made between them and the creature down there.

King picked up the old man and flew higher, with him making diamonds to act as their shield.

From afar, the whole earth had turned into a perfect cube of diamond with a height of 20 kilometers.

"Hungry..." The creature summoned an orb of devil magic, shooting at the space above him; the world shattered around it; however, its target was higher in the sky. It jumped with no effort; diamond shattered with the smallest touch.

What happened was behind the understanding of both of them; both stopped in their tracks, watching as the creature went against all rules of the world.

In a blink, a creature stood in front of them once more; all the mouths on it had a wicked smile on them, like a predator cornering its prey.

"Rise from the ashes, mother of all flame."

All of them turned toward the new person joining them, she in white armor and a flaming spear as long as her height; engineer of Mars’s eyes turned into burning flames.

"Go; you will be only on my way." Cindi let the other two men escape; the creature had its focus on her too; not every day could it find a meal with the taste of her kind.

"Why?" the king of silence asked with curiosity; her presence meant that she had found a way to alter the artifact, but out of all the immortals, she was the last one that would enter a fight for earth herself.

"You are not mine to kill." Cindi replied simply; she knew from the beginning a vessel of fear and hunger was a terrible idea, but it opened an opportunity that she had long searched for.

Two men hesitated to go, but the creature launched itself toward its new target with saliva dripping from its many mouths.

Cindi snapped her fingers.

A small sun itself swallowed the devil’s vessel; with another snap, all seven colors of flames burned the creature. A small star with a temperature enough to melt the reality itself, but the creature stepped out of it like nothing had happened.

A roar that shook the sky came out from its figure; it had used 20 percent of its magic, with a long way to go. Their battle would have ended way sooner before it ran out of fuel.

Meanwhile on Mars, all eyes were locked on the fight that Cindi had interfered in; the creature could have been compared to a level 30 immortal based on strength alone.

"Finally someone worthy enough to test my magic on."
