Eternal Freedom's Ascension
Chapter 239: I want to spar with you
After a few hours, the Class-E students who were training had finally decided to stop training. Liam suggested the idea of heading to the pool to relax, which they all agreed to.
Hazel didn’t.
She returned to where Kaiser was waiting, then said curtly.
"Sorry for keeping you waiting. Let’s go."
Kaiser looked up from the novel he was reading and stared at her.
She was in the training tracksuit like the others, but had taken off her jacket because of the heat.
Her toned arms, packed with muscles without looking exaggerated, glistened with sweat. Her milky skin was glossy, almost like a baby’s.
Although she looked tired, her hazel eyes still burned with fighting spirit that seemed unparalleled.
Kaiser stood up and followed her, thinking that this girl was a little charming when she was like this.
They entered a training room which she had booked earlier, and they stepped inside.
"Another evaluation?"
He asked, wondering if that was what she wanted.
Hazel shook her head. "I want to spar with you."
"Spar with me?" Kaiser tilted his head, his face betraying no emotion.
Failing to read his reaction, Hazel continued. "Yes. Although that Level Five automaton is strong, I can tell that it can’t bring you down."
She looked straight into his blue eyes.
"Also, I know you won’t go too far and cripple me, right?"
She said it as a joke, but Kaiser seemed to take it seriously.
"That’s a bit... I can’t really guarantee you. It’s hard to control my strength when fighting those weaker than me, after all."
Hazel’s eyes widened, and she immediately stepped back.
"Are you serious? You... but I’m sure you definitely trained with that girl—"
"Maya."
"Right, Maya. You trained with her, didn’t you? Then how come she isn’t injured?"
Kaiser shrugged. "It’s because I controlled my strength."
This time, Hazel was dumbfounded, unable to say a word. Her expression kept twitching, as of she had eaten a fly.
Seeing this, Kaiser couldn’t hold back anymore and burst out laughing. It was a first, and even he didn’t notice.
Hazel was surprised that he could laugh, but she felt indignant and humiliated. He was fooling her?!
Seeing the girl look like she was about to set the world on fire, he immediately suppressed his laugh and reached out.
Ruffling her hair, he said with a gentle smile.
"Alright, alright. I won’t bully you again. You said you wanted to spar, right?"
Hazel snorted and swatted his hand away from her head.
"Don’t touch my head!"
She immediately summoned her battle-axe, then attacked.
Kaiser was surprised by how decisive she was, but he wasn’t caught off guard. He sidestepped her attack, letting her miss.
As she stumbled forward due to the force of her attack, he grabbed her neck from behind, and placed another arm on her back.
He pulled her, and slammed her to the ground with little force.
"That was impulsive. Don’t always be impulsive."
Hazel immediately rose to her feet, huffing and panting in anger.
"I know that. But was making me lay on the ground necessary?"
Kaiser nodded with a smile.
"Yes. It helps you calm down, and it humbles you."
Hazel’s expression twitched, but she didn’t reply him.
Instead, she held the battle-axe carefully, then went for a sharp attack aimed at his torso.
Kaiser summoned one of the Deathstalker blades and blocked her attack easily.
Clang!
Despite having the heavier weapon, Hazel was forced back in that exchange. Her brows furrowed, immediately concluding that Kaiser’s strength was far superior to her own.
’Tch. Really a monster, huh?’
Still, she dashed at him again. This time, her battle-axe ignited with flames as she swung it at him rapidly.
Kaiser blocked each of her blows while retreating, knowing fully well that her flames would definitely scorch his clothes even if it couldn’t harm him.
Of course, of Hazel knew his thoughts, she would have sprayed a mouthful of blood in anger. Her sacred flames, to him, only posed a threat to his outfit?
Thankfully, she wasn’t aware of his thoughts and continued to fight with vigor.
Kaiser was impressed by how much she had improved since the last time. Although it was just a little over a week ago, it seemed this girl had grown leap bounds.
’A natural prodigy.’
He thought as he dodged a swing that came very close to his face.
Suddenly, his free hand reached out and grabbed Hazel’s wrist, keeping her from moving.
His other hand which was armed with the dagger immediately swiped at her face.
Hazel immediately grabbed his wrist too, straining to keep the weapon away from her.
’Her trait. I want to see it work.’
Hazel’s eyes glowed brighter as she began to resist his monstrous strength, pushing him back ever so slightly.
Kaiser noticed this and chuckled. With a single sweep of his leg, Hazel fell to the ground with her back, while Kaiser knelt above her figure, still pushing the dagger towards her face.
Her brows furrowed, sweat pouring from her forehead as she tried to fight back.
’Hm. She’s really trying her best. But I want to see your true limit.’
Kaiser thought to himself, slowly increasing the strength he was using.
Hazel’s eyes widened in disbelief, desperation, and determination. He was even stronger than that? Good! She would make sure to resist well!
As his hand lowered, Kaiser finally noticed a detail he had missed.
Hazel’s top had somehow been unzipped slightly, revealing the fresh, tender flesh of her cleavage.
Kaiser’s gaze lingered longer than it should, causing Hazel to notice too.
"This..."
Her expression darkened, and the struggle between them ceased instantly.
Kaiser didn’t stand up, merely refocusing his gaze on her face. He didn’t say a word, merely staring at her silently.
Faced with his stare that carried no expression, the black-haired girl felt a wave of embarrassment.
Her entire face turned red, startling Kaiser. He had never seen someone so... red. 𝑓𝘳𝑒𝑒𝓌𝘦𝘣𝘯ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝑚
Seeing as she still didn’t say anything, Hazel gritted her teeth and spoke. "Stand up. I need to adjust something."
Pretending to be oblivious, Kaiser deliberately made an innocent face. "Why?"
Instantly, Hazel’s expression because livid. "You... shameless rogue!"
Chuckling, Kaiser finally stood and helped her up.
