Chapter 1927: Part 1: Fending off the attacks

The 12th Order Octopus was enraged. It used another tentacle to attack. One more tentacle emerged from the sea and shot the ship.

Seeing that, the passengers retreated. No one was standing near the edge. Including me, the turbulent waves were causing the ship to shake.

I didn’t know about the ship’s defense power. How long could the blue layer withstand the attack?

Boom!

The monstrous tentacles landed on the blue layer again. A loud noise sounded. The blue layer once more withstood the impact.

Everyone sighed in relief. But the fight was not over. The ship continued to sail forward. The attacks from the sea shark monsters were stopped by the blue layer.

If the blue layer was removed, then everyone would get a chance to fight again. So, everyone was preserving their strength right now.

Time passed,

Old man Gary had been keeping an eye on the sea. He was aware of the 12th Order Octopus. But he was not interested in the octopus.

Instead, he was focused on the shark monster ahead of them. The 12th Order Shark Monster had yet to take action.

Seeing that, the passengers were confused. They didn’t know why old man Gary was quiet. It had been some time since they had stopped fighting.

Only the blue layers covering the airship were providing cover for them.

Boom!

The octopus monster was striking the blue layer from time to time. After some time, the octopus stopped attacking the airship. Because the airship left its territory.

Seeing that, everyone was surprised. On the other hand, I used the system function to know what was going on.

[Ding! The 12th Order Giant Octopus won’t leave its territory.]

The system voice sounded in my mind. Hearing that, my heart stirred.

My eyes flashed with understanding. No wonder the giant octopus didn’t follow us. Then I turned towards another 12th Order Monster.

The Sea Shark had yet to do anything. Instead, it was letting the lower-order shark monsters attack the ship.

"Everyone, get ready to attack," Old man Gary’s voice reached everyone’s ears.

Hearing that, everyone reacted. They were ready to use their magic spell attacks.

Finally, the blue layer was removed. The next second, the wizards on the deck raised their hands to cast their magic spells.

Several magic circles appeared in the sky. The elemental attacks shot out from the magic circles.

Boom!

One after another, the elemental attacks landed on the shark monsters surrounding the airship. The lower-order shark monster bodies were blown into pieces.

Their bodies couldn’t withstand the attack. The elemental attacks tore through the bodies of the monsters.

The water surrounding the ship turned blood red.

On the other hand, I used the system to scan the surroundings. I didn’t want to use my magic spell attacks against the low-order sea monsters.

I was looking for the 11th Order Sea Monsters. I couldn’t deal with a 12th Order Sea Monster.

Boom!

The 12th Order Sea Monster took action. A big water wave moved towards the ship. The monstrous wave was more than 200 meters in height.

If the monstrous wave were to land on the ship, the ship would be destroyed, or there was a risk of drowning as well.

Everyone stopped their magic spell attacks. They were frozen on the spot. They were shocked to the core. They were terrified by the monstrous sea waves.

Old man Gary was standing on top of the ship. He didn’t use a magic spell. There was a risk of the impact force affecting the moving ship as well.

If the ship was damaged, then there would be danger for everyone. Even with the ability to fly, it would take forever to cross the never-ending seas.

So old man Gary made a decision. Seeing that the monstrous sea wave was about to land on the ship, he released his coercion directed at the front.

Boom!

The next second, everyone felt a slight pressure, even though the forbidden wizard pressure was directed to the front.

Boom!

In a flash, the coercion came into contact with the sea waves. It destroyed the sea waves. The rest of the small waves collided into the ship.

But the impact was small. The wizards on the deck felt the force as well. They were able to stabilize their footing.

On the other hand, I held my feet strongly on the ground. As I expected, old man Gary had a plan. He didn’t use a magic spell. Yet, he continued to use targeted coercion.

The ship continued to sail forward.

The 12th Order Sea Shark was enraged again. It understood that a human wizard with similar strength was blocking all of its attacks.

The sea monster’s eyes flashed with a glint. It had human-like intelligence as well. The giant Shark monster went back into the sea.

It was gone from the sight of others.

Old man Gary was stunned. He didn’t expect the sea monster to give up at the last minute. But he knew the sea monsters were cunning.

He then looked toward the ship. There were no other monsters surrounding the ship. Yet, there was another problem. One side of the ship was left unguarded.

Which was the bottom part of the ship. He then disappeared from the spot. He entered the sea and went to the bottom of the ship.

Seeing that, everyone on the deck was surprised. The wizards immediately went to the edge of the ship to look down.

I followed them to reach the edge as well. I looked down at the bottom of the sea. I didn’t know what he was doing. I used the system probe function.

[Ding! The Forbidden Wizard is guarding the bottom front of the ship.]

The system voice sounded in my mind. I understood. The treacherous seas had many monsters. It was important to guard the bottom during the night time.

I doubted the monsters would appear during the day time.

Time passed,

The morning came. No sea monsters attacked during the night time. When the morning sunlight appeared, Old man Gary appeared back at the top of the ship.

Seeing that, everyone sighed in relief. They understood that they had only one Forbidden Wizard on the ship.

As long as he was here, no monsters would attack them.
