Ken stepped out of the house that they had been put in, sword in his hands and eyes as calm as the morning breeze. The moment he stepped out, he was met with over twenty knights that had surrounded the house entirely.

He looked at them. "So this was her plan, get everyone in and then take them all out, pretty easy and straightforward, I’d have to say."

"Go back into the house now," one of the knights barked at Ken. He pulled his sword from his sheath and then approached. Ken watched him draw close and then a smile formed on his lips, one so subtle you could barely see.

"It’s been a while." After those words left his mouth, he vanished from where he stood.

"Huh?"

"Where the hell did he go?"

"Keep an eye out."

The knights screamed, all looking around for Ken. The one that had pulled his sword and approached stood and was looking when suddenly he sensed a presence from above. He turned and looked up, only to be met with a kick from Ken right to the face, a kick so fast and powerful it threw him back. Ken landed on the ground and before the knight even hit the ground, he darted.

"There he is, kill the brat fast!" one screamed. He pulled his sword and charged at Ken. He slashed diagonally, Ken dodged the attack by jumping backwards. He landed on the ground and flash stepped forward again, his sword thrust into the heart of the knight through the armor. The knight coughed blood as his body collapsed to the ground.

Ken barely paid attention to the system, his eyes were already on another knight who was rushing his way. He pulled his sword out and blocked the overhead slash, slid under it and then tackled the knight to the ground before stabbing through the eye slit of the helmet. Blood squirted out and the body stopped moving.

He leaped off the body and landed on the ground, dodging another slash that was already coming, then he pivoted and got behind the attacker before stabbing the attacker through the back and killing him.

Ken pulled his sword out, he flicked it and the blood flew off it and hit the ground. Around him now were three dead bodies. The knights all hesitated at this point, they all looked at the kid that was standing there with a sword drenched in blood, it was an unsettling sight.

"Come on, fight me," Ken provoked. "I’ll make sure every death is swift."

His words seemed to provoke some knights enough for them to charge in.

"Die brat!" one yelled and attacked. Ken blocked the attack and tried to slide in for the finishing blow, but to his surprise, the knight suddenly threw a punch with his other hand. Ken was forced to block the punch fast, he was pushed back and his arm stung.

The knight that punched him was already attacking again. He slashed down with all his might and Ken forced himself to block as fast as possible.

CLANG!

Their swords bounced off each other and Ken was sent staggering backwards, a stunned look on his face.

Three other knights ran in to flank him after he was knocked back. One got close fast and went for the thrust, Ken side stepped and evaded the attack before wrapping his hand around the hand of the knight, spinning and using the momentum to hurl him into another knight. He charged at one that was facing him now and made to slash for the head. The knight blocked only for the attack to never come and then Ken went low and kicked the knight right in the head, sending him flying.

He got back on his feet and then slashed when the knight was coming down, decapitating him cleanly.

"I’m sorry that I can’t afford to be calm with you lot, I have a job to do," Ken said before blocking the next attack fast.

He was meant to be the distraction, causing the attackers to focus on him while everyone in the house slipped out and made it out of the compound.

Luna had been adamant that she would not allow Ken to go no matter what and that if he had to go, then she would go as well. That whole issue ended with her having to be knocked out by Nero. She was weak and tired so she could not react when Nero moved. Ken knew that it would be an issue when she woke up, but for now he had to ensure that he did his role properly and gave them an out.

While he was busy taking care of the knights, a blast suddenly ripped from the main house. It was so loud that Ken could hear it from where he was. He planned to ignore whatever it was, but then, for the first time ever, the system gave him a mission.

[Reward: Unknown]

[Penalty: Permanent halving of all stats]

"What the hell?"

Ken was stunned when the screen popped up, he read it twice to ensure that he didn’t read it wrong, he indeed had not read it wrong.

"Tch, the hell do you mean halving my stats, who gave the system the right to do that?"

He muttered in anger while he blocked the attack of a knight and drove a sword through his neck, making that his tenth kill.

He looked at the house that the others were inside, they should have all moved by then.

"Tch, can’t believe I have to go carry out a mission," he said in anger and then looked at the remaining knights who were evidently scared of him at this point.

"I’m done with you lot for now."

He said and then turned and charged in the direction of the main manor, his speed was so high that they could not react to it in the slightest.
