There are some people who ask what does the World Charter about the Untainted land is talking about when they said that Untainted Land is a protection for humanity?

Order of Thinkers had released a report about the reproduction of people after the Fall. And they found something....concerning about the fate of humanity.

Those who are strong rarely procreates.

Not because they don’t want to. These are not some boasting words nor some slogan

This is just the unfortunate effect of slowly entering...no, ascending to become a higher life form

as they become stronger, they found themselves unable to procreate easily

Humanity, if is left only with these powerful people, then in a few generations the population of the world would collapse even more.

Humanity needed time off from the chaos, the killing and the instability that keep coming and relentlessly cutting down humanity numbers.

But they could not exactly have a time off from the changes of the Omniverse.

Just because they want the universe to stop sending them problems, it would not go according to their desire.

Aliens would come whether they wanted to or not, most of which have nefarious intentions.

Then there are the Breachers.

Sometimes, these breachers are just scientists from different worlds who accidentally enter Earth.

Sometimes, these are people from worlds that was slightly affected by the Multiversal Convergence and trying to find answers.

Some however have intentions that are more sinister.

There is also Speedsters from different worlds and different universe that sometimes breaks through the barriers between worlds and dimension and enter Earths.

There is also a few ignorant magical civilization would try to invade every few years and so on and so forth.

But the most dangerous things are those Chthonian creatures. Sometimes, it did not even have to appear to create danger and chaos all over the world

Just sending their relics to Earth to tempt weak willed mortal to uses its power or to worship it.

These chthonian creatures are so called Chthonia because they share many similarities to the Cthulhu in popular culture.

Earth signalling to the Omniverse that it is ready to fight an intergalactic war is not a good thing for Earth

Because by announcing that, it also announces to anyone who could listen, see and senses Earth...that they are either a threat or prey.

Whether earth is a threat or prey, these beings, these civilisation would slowly probe and if they think they could take on Earth they would take it.

If it’s a threat they wanted to neutralize it.

If its prey, they wanted to conquer.

In such an environment how could the common people survives and fight for their lives?

Death Monarch did not need to take these responsibilities. But he did. There is cause and effect that he owes heaven and earth.

So, he must repay it. This is probably one of his way of repaying it. Making sure humans did not get extinct

Also, because anyone with a heart would surely help.

Babies don’t just get born and suddenly could level up.

Old people could level and they could regain their youth but if they are unlucky and met some powerful monsters before they could level up, they would also die.

How about children and teenagers born in a peaceful world before the Fall who are unable to adapt to this new world?

Then there are teenagers that are too jaded and lost all humanity and unleash all of their evils to society

Old people that are cynical, young people who have no hope.

Too many death, too many potential snuffed out, too many chaos, too many stories of evil and good, light and dark, life and death intertwining like some kind of perverse dance that makes anyone who dances it dizzy and disgusted.

So, Death Monarch decided to take things into his own hands. And he asks help from the world powers and they all decided to agree.

What they could do was to isolate one part of humanity and to let the other part of humanity to strive and fight

That was the simple idea.

Of course, there is also many other consideration to this matter and there is many interest intertwined in this but it must be said that the intention is benevolent and generous.

And it did create a sanctuary for those people.

In the decade that followed the creation of the Untainted Land, those people who could not go further in the real Earth would ask passage to the Untainted Land to retire and benefited the people of that world with their knowledge in the real Earth

and those talented people in Untainted Land would come to real Earth and contribute to the world, either joining one of the world powers or simply roams the world and the Universe just to enjoy the power of being a Disk Formation realm leveller.

Slowly but surely the people of the Untainted land would someday come out of the Untainted Land and also contribute to the world while remaining as a backup plan for humanity.

But for the people livening inside here, after generations, they seem to have developed their own belief. And some of the struggle of the past has since been distorted

Corrupted with new stories, versions of a weird story, weird myths.

Hikigaya, Oreki and Raymond all understood what is happening. Even a few generations should not have forgotten why they were here. 𝒻𝑟ℯℯ𝑤𝑒𝑏𝑛𝘰𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝒸𝑜𝘮

"Someone is erasing the history of this place"

Oreki suddenly said amidst the silence.

Raymond nodded

"When does a person die? It is when no one remembers them. It is the same for culture. The same for history. If no one remember it, then they forget. Only this are too fast. The restructuring of history"

"There is magic being employed. There are killings. There is....resentment filling the entire heaven and earth"

Raymond could not help but sigh

"Before the Fall, there is countless nations that does this kind of thing, erasing certain history, whitewashing some others, because they need to believe that they were the good guys. A story written in the perspective of the state and country....and not the people who suffers, those who become the sacrifice, sacrificing for something they didn’t even believe it"

Raymond saying these words....could not help but smile

But the smile is bitter.

Truth is always bitters

Hence not many people could swallow it, could listen to it, could see it.

Those who swallow it would spit it out, those who listen to it, close their ears, pretending not to hear, those who could see, close their eyes and pretending nothing happen

Truth has always been like this.

Countries, states, uses patriotism, uses nationalism to urge the people to die for their profit. The one who suffers is the people, the state always wins.

But a state, a kingdom, a country, its very backbone, its very philosophy, the very reason for its formation is to protect the people

Somewhere along the line...people forget this. People....should not have given their loyalty to nations, to kings and to rulers.

But to people. To those who suffers. To those you do not understand....but wanted to understand.

And if everyone learns to give their loyalty to people...then a barber in France would not ask why he should kill a farmer in England, a soldier in Africa would not ask why he should kidnap a child from a village he uses to come from, if people....is loyal to people and not to rulers, to nations and to ideologies which are all used to serve the state

Raymond sighed

Because mortals are weak. And even if Raymond preaches it to them, they could still be manipulated.

This is about spiritual freedom and it is not something that he could force people to understand.

Is state necessary?

Is kingdom, government necessary?

For civilization yes. But to what end?

When the state no longer remembers it true function, the people....the people should dismantle this government, open their eyes and tear apart all of the illusion, open their ears and listen to those voices screaming in the dark, and raise up your hands and fight against such state.

Raymond shakes his head. Hikigaya look at Raymond and his eyes narrows. Hikigaya is not Hirate. He could not read minds.

Even if he did, with Raymond current strength, reading his mind would be harder than destroying a star system

But he could tell, that the words he just said before....those words are not platitudes. There is a great deal of emotions in those words.

A hint of guilt? A hint of....regret?

Hikigaya eyes narrows only for a moment before his face returns to his natural expression. For now, Hikigaya and Raymond are on the same side.

Most of the time, they always cooperated with each other. Even when they are now not on the same team, they did not have much hatred with each other

Hikigaya has always been a pessimist. But as he grows stronger and sees many things, he sees thing in different way than he does in the past.

As for Raymond, he was an effective colleague. It reminded him of some of those people he goes to high school with. The jock cheerful type.

But Raymond is anything but a jock before the Fall. Maybe that is why they mesh quite well.

"It is a pity" Hikigaya thought to himself

Raymond is still part of the World Government and who knows what Hirate is planning.

This is just his precautions and preparation for the future. If one day he had toc lash with Raymond he likes to know what made Raymond....tick
