June Kane sneered, staring at Wyatt Sterling’s face, indeed the seed of Claire Sullivan.

"Fine, fine!"

"Since you’re ignoring me, I can only go to the police station and turn myself in."

Seeing Wyatt so clueless, her chatter was useless, she softened her tone intentionally, "Since you ignore me, I can only surrender myself!"

"You’re willing to turn yourself in?"

Wyatt looked at June in disbelief.

Since she walked in, June’s tone had been cold and hard, she didn’t feel she had done anything wrong to cause Serena Sullivan’s death!

"What can I do?"

June’s smile was bleak, she scoffed, "Felicity can’t even take care of herself, and you won’t help me!"

"Fine!"

Wyatt replied to June, "Now, we go to the police station."

With that, he picked up the car keys from the coffee table, intending to take June away.

June stopped him, "Wyatt, there’s no need to rush, I’m still your mother!"

Mother! That term bothered Wyatt immensely.

"I haven’t had a good sleep these days, can you let me rest here?"

"Once I wake up, then take me to the police station."

"At least it’s a small show of filial piety from you."

Wyatt thought for a moment and agreed, "Alright!"

He let June go upstairs to rest, planning to take her to the police station once she had woken up.

However, June’s easy acquiescence to surrender seemed off to Wyatt.

The uneasiness wasn’t just now, reflecting on his years with the Sterling Family, it seemed June didn’t really like him as her son.

Logically, in families like theirs, June should treat him well for future benefits.

But she didn’t!

After Serena appeared in the Imperial Capital, June grew even colder towards him, she threw away the ring Serena gave him, she ignored him when he was sick, she called him a white-eyed wolf.

Wyatt wasn’t as easily insightful about people’s thoughts as Serena, but he wasn’t so foolish as to not find June’s behavior today unusual.

His thoughts turned to Claire.

The kindness Claire showed him flashed in his mind.

Why would someone treat another person so well without reason?

Unless...

Wyatt grasped at something, but didn’t know what.

He looked down to find his phone, intending to call Simon Sterling.

However, after rummaging through the couch, the phone was gone.

Wyatt suddenly remembered before June went upstairs, she seemed to have taken something.

Did she take the phone away? Afraid he’d call Simon to inform her whereabouts?

If she was truly going to surrender, it shouldn’t matter even if he told Simon, unless she wasn’t genuinely planning to surrender.

Then the reason for taking the phone must be she didn’t want him contacting anyone outside.

Wyatt wasn’t naive, he had never been utterly foolish.

After analyzing, even if he couldn’t figure out June’s real purpose for staying, he knew she wasn’t truly going to surrender, nor did she have much genuine concern for him.

June went upstairs, entering the guest room to sleep, looking at the made bed, she thought about Simon having slept here. 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝐰𝚎𝕓𝐧𝚘𝘃𝗲𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝕞

She walked over, threw herself onto the bed, inhaling Simon’s scent, she felt as though enveloped in his gentle embrace.

She didn’t worry about Wyatt calling the police, firstly his phone was with her, secondly, Wyatt, the white-eyed wolf, was as foolish as Claire.

Feeling truly tired, she slept in the room until nightfall, then she quietly went out to execute her plan.
