Chapter 79: Chapter 79 Floralia, The Bloomvine Regina

"Father! Mom! I’m home!" Oliver shouted as he entered the house.

The carriage ride back home had taken around five hours, but it felt surprisingly short to him since he spent most of the journey sleeping after staying awake late the previous night.

He had ridden in a different carriage from Ingram and the others. Meanwhile, Waine was still hospitalized for further observation, though his condition was already stable.

"Oliver, my dear! You’re finally home!" Irmine quickly removed her apron before tightly hugging her son.

"Glad to see you safe, son." Arnulf said with a relieved smile.

"How did the mission go?"

However, before Oliver could even answer, Irmine immediately pulled him toward the dining table.

"We can talk while eating. I just finished preparing some delicious porridge for lunch."

she said warmly.

"Nice, Mom! My stomach is already rumbling right now." Oliver smiled happily.

While having lunch together, Oliver explained everything that had happened during the mission. As they listened to his story, both Arnulf and Irmine slowly frowned.

"So the nobles were the ones behind all those crimes. And the mayor himself at that. To be honest, I’m not even that surprised hearing it." Arnulf muttered while taking a spoonful of porridge.

After spending five years as the mayor of this town, Arnulf had dealt with countless nobles already. Because of that, he understood very well the attitudes and behavior many of them possessed.

"But honey, isn’t there some kind of reward for our son completing this mission? If it was considered a proper quest, it should at least be Orihalcum Rank, or maybe even Adamantite Rank." Irmine asked curiously.

As former Steel Rank hunters themselves, both Irmine and Arnulf were familiar with how high-ranking quests worked.

"Oh, Lady Aria said they’ll send the reward later. She mentioned it should be at least around one hundred gold coins." Oliver replied while eating.

"One hundred golds?! That’s a huge amount! You’ve done very well, Oliver. Thanks to you, we’ve been able to live comfortably like this." Irmine’s eyes widened in excitement.

"Hahaha, look at your mother. She gets extremely excited nowadays whenever money is involved." Arnulf teased with a grin.

"What’s wrong with liking money?" Irmine immediately protested.

Soon, laughter filled the house.

After that, Oliver took a shower and prepared himself once again. This time, he was ready to enter a dungeon.

"You just arrived home, dear. Aren’t you tired?" Irmine asked.

"No, Mom. I already slept enough during the journey back." Oliver replied while adjusting his bag.

"I’m heading out first, Mom!"

"Take care!"

Oliver then summoned Husk before jumping onto his back. The two of them immediately dashed deeper into the forest. Their destination, the very first dungeon they had entered five years ago.

The Long Cave Dungeon.

The reason was simple, Oliver wanted to summon Floralia inside the boss room so any possible damage would remain contained within the dungeon itself.

The moment he stepped inside the Long Cave Dungeon, memories immediately began flashing through his mind.

"Husk! Look, this is the place where I killed my very first monster. Do you remember?"

"Ahh! And this spot is where I fought multiple Gravegnaws at once."

"And over there is where I almost got bitten on my butt!"

Oliver kept talking excitedly while they made their way deeper toward the boss room.

Along the journey, Oliver simply ordered Queen to summon numerous Arachix and Arachoids to clear the monsters blocking their path.

Husk listened to Oliver’s endless reminiscing with visible annoyance. Meanwhile, Nyx listened attentively with genuine interest.

As for Queen...she was currently busy eating nearly half the Gravegnaws inside the dungeon.

Soon, they arrived inside the boss room. The boss monster had transformed to Mutated form due to the excessive mana overflowing within the dungeon.

BOOM!!

However, even in that state, Nyx simply one-shot the boss, as if it were nothing more than a mere insect. Its body exploded apart instantly as organs and blood splattered all over the ground.

[You have successfully defeated Boss Monster, Trignaw (Mutated), for the first time!]

[Obtained the following rewards:]

[20 Dominion Cores]

[400 Tamer Coins]

"Wow! Free rewards!" Oliver exclaimed excitedly.

He then pulled out the Floralia card and stared at it one last time.

[Be prepared for a fierce battle. And please be cautious. Once you summon it, you will no longer be able to seal it back into the card. If the boss is not defeated within a certain amount of time, it will gradually grow stronger, undergo a breakthrough, and eventually escape the barrier created by the system.]

Oliver nodded before turning toward the three monsters standing behind him.

"All of you ready?"

All three monsters responded seriously toward their master.

"Here I go!"

Oliver raised the card high above his head.

[Initiating Unsealing Process!]

The card immediately began shining brilliantly before suddenly disappearing from Oliver’s hand. In the next instant, it transformed into a beam of light that shot toward the ceiling.

The entire surroundings of the boss room began changing dramatically. From the ground, countless plants of various shapes and colors rapidly bloomed outward.

In some areas, the plants grew uncontrollably before transforming into massive trees of different kinds. Meanwhile, vines and flowers spread across the walls and ceiling, covering nearly every surface in sight.

The once dark and rocky dungeon boss room was now transforming into a breathtaking fantasy garden.

Oliver stood there completely stunned by the sudden change. It felt as though he had been transported into an entirely different world.

"What is happening?" Oliver asked while quickly looking around with his dagger raised in his hand.

[This is a Boss Domain. Boss monsters are capable of manifesting their own domains, which greatly enhance their abilities.]

After several minutes, the transformation finally stopped. At that moment, Oliver felt as though he was standing inside a massive botanical sanctuary. Beautiful flowers bloomed everywhere while the scent of nature filled the air.

As Oliver carefully observed his surroundings, a woman’s voice suddenly echoed throughout the domain.

"My, my...how long has it been since someone came to visit me? I’ve been terribly bored waiting here."

Oliver immediately turned toward the source of the voice. And there he saw a woman sitting elegantly upon a throne made entirely of plants and vines.

She possessed long pink hair, pointed ears, and revealing attire formed from flowers, thorns, and leaves. A seductive smile slowly formed on her lips as she looked directly at him.

<Floralia>

"I’m here to tame you Floralia! So do your worst." Oliver said while activating his Overlord Eye.

"Ahh...a charming human male is actually trying to tame me? How interesting. Then let’s see how you plan to accomplish that..."

"...alone."

Suddenly, vines rapidly burst out from the ground and instantly wrapped around the three monsters behind Oliver.

"Everyone!" Oliver shouted.

Husk immediately slashed and bit at the vines furiously, but no matter how much he destroyed them, the vines regenerated and spread even faster.

Meanwhile, Nyx attempted to charge his cannon, however, the vines immediately crawled directly into the cannon’s barrel and completely neutralized it.

Queen suffered the same fate as countless vines restrained all of her legs tightly.

Within only a few seconds, all three monsters were completely trapped inside gigantic cocoons of vines.

"What the hell?!" Oliver exclaimed in shock. In only a matter of seconds, all three of his monsters had been completely neutralized.

He immediately attempted to recall them back into the system but it failed. 𝐟𝗿𝐞𝚎𝚠𝐞𝚋𝕟𝐨𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝕔𝕠𝚖

"I’m terribly sorry, but my Bloomvine Requiem skill prevents captured monsters from being recalled. If you wish to retrieve them...you’ll have to defeat me first."

She then slowly rose elegantly from her throne and walked toward Oliver. At the same time, the plant throne behind her rapidly expanded and transformed into a massive blooming tree.

"Now...let’s have some fun with just the two of us." A seductive smile appeared on her lips.

Meanwhile, Oliver could only grin nervously while sweat slowly dripped down his forehead.

"Are you kidding me? Is this really supposed to be a support monster?!"
