Chapter 895: Violent Destruction Light

Self–Mega Evolution.

Brandon’s face showed no obvious reaction, but inwardly he was extremely surprised.

Altaria’s smooth, flowing defensive techniques, combined with the sudden burst of the "Essence of Softness" after Mega Evolution, instantly weakened the Magnetic Sand tactic.

If the battle hadn’t been changing so quickly, both Tucker and the four adventurers watching would have wanted to call a timeout just to carefully analyze what had happened.

"Ninetales, Ice Mirror! Mismagius, Chaos!"

The moment Altaria finished its Mega Evolution and waved its cotton-like feathers, Terrance rapidly issued two commands. This time Ninetales did not gather Snowy Weather on a large scale; instead, it shaped several Ice Mirrors out of localized ice and snow, letting them float in the air.

At this moment, the magnetic sand was blocked outside the cotton feathers, while the Ice Mirrors began to reflect strange light. Although nothing unusual had happened yet, it already made Brandon sense danger.

Soon, the magnetic sand broke through the cotton feathers. Although the combo of Cotton Guard and Feather Dance possessed astonishing defensive power, the Magnetic Sand tactic was, after all, the core strategy formed by the combined strength of Mr. Brandon’s three Pokémon, and its penetrating force was terrifying. However, after being obstructed by the cotton feathers, the destructive power of the magnetic sand had already dropped greatly.

Even so, when it pierced through, the magnetic sand was still like a deadly thread. Its target was extremely clear—to destroy the Ice Mirrors. Yet the final result surprised most people.

Watching the magnetic sand dissipate as if it had struck nothingness, Brandon hesitated for a moment.

"So it really is an illusion."

Before Mr. Brandon could react further, Terrance continued issuing orders:

"Ninetales, reflect the Confuse Ray. Altaria, use Fire Blast. Mismagius, use Ominous Wind."

Terrance’s offensive came one wave after another. It was the first time he had fully deployed his three-core tactic, so naturally he wanted to command it to his heart’s content.

Seeing Terrance’s serious expression, Mr. Brandon across from him showed a look of emotion. Had the younger generation already grown to this level?

Noticing the remaining Ice Mirrors beginning to turn and aim toward his Pokémon, Brandon commanded, "Use Thunder Wave."

The reflected Confuse Ray carried a powerful Chaos effect. If it hit, the next moment would be a perfect opportunity for attack. But Brandon clearly had a countermeasure. He directly ordered all three Pokémon to use Thunder Wave, disrupting the transmission of the Confuse Ray.

Terrance’s commands were still echoing in Brandon’s ears. Before Terrance could launch another round of offense, Brandon quickly shouted, "Magnezone, use Electric Terrain, then everyone use Thunderbolt to counterattack!"

With Electric Terrain activated, countless electric currents spread across the field. At that moment, Altaria used its cotton feathers as fuel, unleashing a Fire Blast formed from the Flame of Life to swallow up the remaining magnetic sand in the sky. Then the flames were fiercely fanned by Ominous Wind, surging forward with unstoppable force and rolling up layers of blazing waves that overwhelmed the Thunder Wave.

If Brandon had not reacted extremely quickly and added Electric Terrain to strengthen the power of all three Pokémon’s Thunderbolts, this Flame of Life - Fire Blast would have posed a fatal threat to those three Steel-type Pokémon.

A scorching heatwave swept across the field, triggering a shocking explosion that instantly filled the entire arena with white smoke from the aftermath.

The heat blasted toward them, and everyone present could feel the temperature of the flames!

"What was that Fire Blast just now? It actually blocked the Thunderbolt launched jointly by three Pokémon?" Tucker said in shock. Even when Fire-type Pokémon used Fire Blast, it shouldn’t have such terrifying power.

What he didn’t know was that the cotton feathers contained extremely rich life energy, which resonated perfectly with the Flame of Life. The power that erupted was far more than a simple one-plus-one effect—its momentum even surpassed the leveraging technique displayed by the Grass Star Style Grayson whom Terrance had encountered.

As the white smoke cleared, what puzzled everyone was that Terrance did not have Altaria in the air seize the chance to attack. Instead, it returned to his side.

"The Snowy Weather and Sandstorm have disappeared. The field currently has Electric Terrain and several Ice Mirrors. In the initial setup, neither side gained the upper hand!"

"No... that’s not right. There’s a strange aura covering the field. The Ice Mirrors are beginning to merge."

Tucker, acting as the referee, spoke in disbelief. The chaotic battle among the six Pokémon had been dazzling, yet they hadn’t even truly begun attacking each other directly. Both sides were still attacking within the framework of the team battle systems they had constructed—this was a contest of foundations! Tucker finally realized it.

"Take down that Ninetales first."

Sensing that Ninetales’ moves might play a crucial role, Brandon immediately gave the order: "Zap Cannon. Lock onto it."

The three Pokémon activated Lock-On simultaneously, using special electromagnetic waves to form a trinity lock-on tactic, allowing them to share the lock-on state. It could be said that this was a 100% accurate attack technique. The next moment, Brandon’s three Pokémon absorbed the residual electricity on the field, completely draining the previous Electric Terrain setup, and unleashed this powerful strike.

"So he’s realized something."

Terrance smiled slightly. Although Mr. Brandon had predicted his intention, he did not retreat. He trusted Altaria and the others. In the next moment, a massive Ice Moon appeared in front of Ninetales as a shield.

The several Ice Mirrors merged, completely forming the Ice Moon!

"He can break through Mr. Brandon’s attacks repeatedly, and even now it’s impossible to tell who has the advantage. This Contest Master is even more impressive than I imagined," Tucker murmured in surprise. "But under triple lock-on with three enhanced Zap Cannons, how can he dodge that?"

Three trajectories simultaneously locked onto Ninetales, cutting off any possibility of dodging it. It could only endure the attack head-on.

Yet facing this troublesome situation, Terrance’s expression did not change at all. As the three violent Zap Cannons fired, dazzling light rapidly spread across the Ice Mirror. In the sky, Altaria unleashed Moonblast. From the void, Mismagius also released Dazzling Gleam. In a brief moment, Terrance’s side condensed immense energy.

The Ice Moon now contained two Moonblasts—including Ninetales’—and one Dazzling Gleam. It reflected a massive beam of light that surged forward with overwhelming force.

Compared to the three Zap Cannons—each on a different trajectory but forming a triangular assault—this Destruction Light was completely fused together, its power strengthened beyond imagination and advancing with crushing momentum.

"Not good."

The moment Brandon saw the might of this Destruction Light, his expression changed. As expected, the massive beam instantly swallowed the three Zap Cannons, shattering them almost one by one. Once the Zap Cannons were absorbed into the Destruction Light, they were like stones thrown into the sea, barely causing even a ripple.

If the three Zap Cannons had merged together, they might have been able to interfere somewhat. But scattered as they were, they ultimately could not amount to much.

The power of Zap Cannon was indeed formidable, but the Destruction Light had been enhanced by Fairy Aura and reflected through Ice Mirror, while also gathering the combined power of three Pokémon. In both speed and strength, it surpassed the Zap Cannons by an unknown margin.

At that moment, under the operation of magnetism, Registeel, Magnezone, and Probopass rapidly changed positions. Magnezone moved to the front, enveloped in a mysterious glow as it took the attack head-on.

Mirror Coat: a move that returns double the damage of a special attack received from an opponent.

This theoretically invincible move, however, revealed its weakness when facing such an overwhelming Destruction Light.

With crackling sounds, countless sparks erupted from Magnezone’s body. The collision between the fairy light and Mirror Coat made everyone hold their breath.

Just as the tension reached its peak, Probopass and Registeel quickly retreated. In the next moment, the fairy light engulfed Magnezone, ignoring the effect of Mirror Coat entirely and completely swallowing it.

"What a powerful attack."

The Destruction Light’s power exceeded even the full-force strike of a Champion master’s ace Pokémon. Even Brandon’s main Pokémon, Magnezone, using the theoretically invincible Mirror Coat, could not withstand it.

Although the triple-locked Zap Cannon was extremely frightening and coordinated well, it still paled in comparison to the core Fairy Aura. Furthermore, with a super powerhouse like Altaria on the field, Terrance’s side demonstrated a form of violent aesthetics that defied all logic.
