Reborn with a Space: Hoarding Food and Raising My Kid
Chapter 55 - 45: Dumb Luck Tianna Bloom (2)
Flora Bloom immediately told Stephen Bloom and Sharon Caldwell, "Help me put her in the wooden tub in the bathroom."
Stephen Bloom did as he was told, carefully picking up his daughter and placing her in the tub.
Seeing them still standing there awkwardly, Flora Bloom said, "Could you two please step outside? I need to start treating her."
The two of them glared at Flora Bloom before obediently leaving.
Flora Bloom checked Tianna Bloom’s temperature. ’Hmm, since you have a high fever, I’ll be kind enough to cool you down.’
Then, Flora Bloom turned on the faucet, letting the water pour over Tianna Bloom’s body.
The water in autumn, especially well water from the countryside, was exceptionally cold. A normal person would catch a cold after being drenched in it.
Not only that, but to make her act more convincing, Flora Bloom took off all of Tianna Bloom’s clothes and submerged her in the icy water. While undressing Tianna Bloom, she noticed the jade bracelet their grandmother had left for her was on Tianna Bloom’s wrist.
’The nerve of her. I’m taking this back!’
Just as she touched the bracelet, Flora Bloom was taken aback. This... she felt the same sensation from this bracelet as she did from her own. The unique Spiritual Energy from an item with internal storage was something Flora was very familiar with.
Thinking about how Tianna Bloom was on the verge of awakening, a thought suddenly struck her. ’Could Tianna Bloom’s awakening be related to this bracelet? In my past life, I only awakened my Water Ability after activating the space within my bracelet.’
The space in this bracelet was larger than the space in her previous life’s bracelet, and it had more Spiritual Energy.
Flora Bloom sent her consciousness into the bracelet to take a look. ’Well, I’ll be damned. There’s a space in here too. But it’s not large, only about four or five square meters at most. Looks like it’s a storage space, just like the bracelet from my past life.’
’Good thing Tianna Bloom is unconscious and doesn’t know. Once she wakes up, she might discover it. I’m not about to let her live comfortably in the apocalypse with a treasure like this.’
If she didn’t have her current portable space, Flora Bloom might have considered this bracelet a treasure. After all, a space of four to five square meters was enough to store a lot of supplies.
But now, this thing was practically useless to her.
So, holding Tianna Bloom’s arm, she forcefully pulled the jade bracelet off her wrist with her other hand.
’Hmph. Even if it’s useless to me, I’m not leaving it for you.’
She tossed the bracelet into the thatched hut in her space, leisurely drank some Space Spirit Water, and then walked out of Tianna Bloom’s room.
Stephen Bloom and Sharon Caldwell saw Flora Bloom come out so quickly and thought she needed something. One of them quickly asked, "Do you need anything else? I’ll go get it for you right away."
Flora Bloom waved her hand and said lightly, "You can go in and check on her. Once she wakes up, she’ll be fine."
Hearing this, Sharon Caldwell immediately rushed in to see Tianna Bloom. Stephen Bloom hesitated for a moment, then rushed in as well. 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝙚𝙬𝓮𝙗𝒏𝙤𝒗𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝒐𝓶
"Oh, right, my cousin isn’t wearing any clothes. Remember to dress her."
"Honey, why did you come in? Get out, quick!"
Sharon Caldwell’s loud voice came from inside the room. But by this point, Flora Bloom couldn’t be bothered to care.
When she returned home, her whole family was up, waiting for her. Seeing the worry in everyone’s eyes as they looked at her in the living room, a wave of warmth washed over Flora Bloom’s heart.
"Flora, they didn’t give you a hard time, did they?"
Jade was the first to ask. As a mother, her primary concern was her own daughter; she couldn’t be bothered, nor did she want to be, with whatever problems that other family had.
"Don’t worry, I’m fine. They can’t do anything to me."
"By the way, Dad, Mom, since everyone’s here, there’s something I want to tell you."
"What is it? Why so serious?" Caleb Bloom found it strange. His daughter’s expression was grave, and he had a feeling that what she was about to say was no small matter.
Looking at Caleb Bloom and Jade, Flora Bloom suddenly said, "Dad, Mom, get ready. We’re leaving for Morhaven first thing tomorrow morning."
"Morhaven? Did something happen to your brother?"
Jade’s heart went cold when she thought about the apocalypse her daughter had mentioned. ’Could it be that Morhaven also has these monster-zombies? What about my son?’
Flora Bloom saw the worry plastered all over her mother’s face. Although her father didn’t speak, his tightly furrowed brow betrayed an indescribable mix of emotions.
"Mom, Dad, you don’t actually think these monsters are only in our village, do you?"
At Flora Bloom’s words, Caleb Bloom’s brows furrowed. He quickly asked, "You mean to say these monsters aren’t just in our village, but outside as well?"
"Mom, Dad, haven’t you wondered why these zombies have been in the village for so long, yet no police or military have come to wipe them out?"
"I came back from Janton. Whether it was downtown Janton or the suburbs, the schools, the malls, every single corner—they were all filled with zombies. And their numbers are only growing day by day."
Caleb Bloom’s expression suddenly changed. He sat there, unmoving and silent, as if deep in thought.
Jade, on the other hand, thought Flora Bloom was joking. She forced a smile and continued, "Flora, you little rascal, you’re so good at making things up. Don’t tell me... these monsters could spread all over the world? Isn’t that something you only see in movies? That would only happen if it was the end of the world."
Listening to her mother, Flora Bloom nodded. "Mom, you’re right. The end of the world... it’s really here."
Jade looked into Flora Bloom’s earnest eyes. She knew her daughter; even if she had changed, she wouldn’t lie to her. She had originally thought these monsters were confined to their village, but if Flora wasn’t lying, then... what were they supposed to do?
Jade, who had been relatively calm until now, suddenly broke out in a cold sweat. Her heart was now filled with terror. It wasn’t for her own sake; if the entire world was like their village, overrun with zombies, then what about her son?
The thought that help was too far away filled Jade’s heart with helpless despair.
"Flora! Your brother, your brother... will he be okay?"
Flora Bloom nodded, getting straight to the point.
"That’s what I wanted to talk about. My brother is in Morhaven all by himself. We have to go find him."
"Yes, yes! Flora, let’s go find your brother right now. We can’t let him face danger out there alone."
As she spoke, Jade suddenly stood up to start packing, but Flora Bloom stopped her.
"Mom, don’t rush. You need to rest well tonight. Morhaven is far, and the road is too dangerous if we’re not fully prepared."
Jade’s face fell, her eyes filled with worry.
At this moment, Caleb Bloom, who had been hesitating for a long time, suddenly asked, "Flora, did you see your sister on your way back?"
Startled by her father’s question, Flora Bloom instinctively froze. She exchanged a look with Neal Wallace and the others, then sighed.
"Dad... Belle... she’s dead."
Seeing her parents sit in stunned silence, Flora Bloom didn’t offer any further explanation. After all, if she could help it, she didn’t want to tell her parents the real reason for Belle Bloom’s death.
