Rise Of The Hoarder
Chapter 446: Sariel’s Show
Sariel’s aura flared as she prepared to fight Abaddon, her celestial energy swirling around her like a storm.
The air between them crackled with tension as Abaddon’s locusts hesitated, sensing the immense power radiating from her.
As it increased, they fled away making space for Abaddon himself.
"Very well," Abaddon sneered, his grotesque form shifting as dark energy coiled around him. "Let us see if you’re as strong as you claim, Sariel."
~BOOOMMMMMMMMMM!!!~
Without another word, they clashed. Abaddon’s claws met Sariel’s reinforced fists in a flurry of blows, the impact of their strikes sending shockwaves through the battlefield.
None of them appeared to have any effect on Sariel though and it was apparent that she was holding back while he was testing her out.
"You bitch! Fight!" He yelled out as he tried breaking through her defense.
"Such obscenities from you are quite alarming," Sariel replied coolly, which annoyed him more.
"I WILL KILL YOU!"
He hated the fact that she wasn’t taking the fight seriously and treating him like an unworthy opponent.
"You can try, this is your time," She said with a shrug as they swirled in the air at neck breaking speed.
At her last words, he did a quick flip and his venomous tail flicked forward suddenly, ready to do damage to Sariel.
ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!
Green blood sprayed the area where they fought, staining the both of them as it gushed out in a steady stream.
Unlike what Abaddon had expected, something different had happened when he had tried to lash Sariel with his tail.
She had caught it just in time and cut off more than half of it.
He flew away from her and stared in shock at himself as he tried to regenerate his limbs which for some reason wasn’t working quickly as it was taking time to grow back.
He didn’t like the new development as it spelled trouble for him. Due to his physique and structure, his movements would be awry without his tail.
His confidence dropped a notch as he looked up at Sariel who still hadn’t broken a sweat in their fight and was calmly observing him.
"Are you done?"
"Shut your mouth bitch, I’m just getting started!"
~WHOOSHHHHHHHHH!!!~
He sped toward her faster than he has moved since they started fighting.
What he wasn’t expecting was for her to do the same so his eyes widened as he saw her suddenly in front of him but he couldn’t stop himself in time.
"Oof! Urghh...h!"
He struggled to breathe as he felt something constricting his throat.
He was appalled to realise that she had caught him by the neck and was squeezing it.
"I think I’ve given you too many chances. I shouldn’t remember you as you once were but as you are now. This is your end."
There was no malice on her face and she appeared calm which underscored the seriousness of the situation.
"Wait a...Let’s..."
~WHACK!~
She smacked him in the face with her other free hand. Though it didn’t appear forceful, it twisted his neck.
~CRACK!~
~THUD!~
~SPLAT!~
She reached into his chest and tore out his heart in one powerful swoop.
She knew it wasn’t enough though as his body would regenerate another heart to replace the one she removed.
~BOOMMMM!~
~BOOMMMM!!~
~BOOMMMM!!!~
She returned to the old trusty pummeling she was used to as she didn’t see the need to use her abilities on him.
Each hit from from her shattered the remnants of the angel he once was, while his dark magic tried to consume her light.
He tried to get away from her by reactivating the locusts and distracting her with it.
~WHOOSHHHHHHHH!!!~
She dragged him further up into the skies where the locusts couldn’t reach them as she continued her assaults.
She had waited too long for this moment, and she couldn’t allow him to escape.
Meanwhile, on the ground, Jeremy faced off against Lyra.
She was a formidable opponent, her body crackling with the Administrator’s power, but it was clear she was struggling to contain it.
After the first minute of their fight, Jeremy had quickly realised that there was something off about her as she had grown considerably strong.
His first thought based on his past experience was that it was all the doing of the Administrators and that she had been possessed by an Angel or something.
Her eyes glowed with an unnatural light, and her movements were erratic, as if she was fighting a battle within herself as well.
"Lyra, you can’t control it so you don’t have to do their bidding," He said, trying to reason with her between their attacks. "It’s too much for you."
He could see the toll it was taking on her. Each attack weakened her, the Administrator’s power eating away at her from the inside.
Jeremy knew that it could end quickly either by his own hands or whatever was possessing her.
~BOOMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!~
A wave of pure white energy rushed towards him and he barely dodged it in time as it destroyed the landscape he had just been in less than a minute ago.
That had been how their fight had been going for a while now as he hadn’t even been able to get a hit on her.
Strangely, the angels he had launched at her refused to do his bidding and turned back whenever he sent them at her.
It confirmed his suspicions of the Administrators having a hand in it.
Drawing on his own strength, he pressed the attack, using his items to counter her unpredictable strikes.
His movements were precise, his strikes calculated, and slowly, he got close enough to hit her.
~BOOMMMMM!~
She evaded his attack and gave him a solid blow which sent him crashing to the ground.
Jeremy collapsed to the ground, his body trembling as the energy within him began to dissipate.
Lyra stood over him breathing heavily, but her gaze softened as she watched him struggle.
"It’s over, Jeremy," she said quietly. "You can’t fight anymore. This is your end."
Back in the skies, Sariel delivered a final, crushing blow to Abaddon, sending him crashing to the ground.
He lay there, defeated, his once formidable presence reduced to nothing more than a shadow of his former self.
"You were right about one thing, Abaddon," Sariel said, standing over him. "We are different now. And that’s why you lost."
With that, she bent down and tore out all his limbs while covered in the green blood he continuously spurted.
