Chapter 450: Demon God

The Demon God watched Jeremy with a mixture of confusion and shock, his eyes narrowing as he tried to comprehend the audacity of the mortal standing before him.

"You do realize," the Demon God began, his voice a deep rumble that shook the walls of the throne room, "that there is an agreement—a pact—between our realms. An understanding that has maintained the balance of power for eons. Do you truly think you can simply ignore it?"

Jeremy remained unfazed, his expression calm and unbothered. "That agreement," he said, his voice cutting through the tension like a blade, "was made by those who adhere to the old ways. Administrators, rulers, those bound by the rules of a system that no longer applies to me."

The Demon God’s eyes flared with anger and disbelief. "No longer applies? Do you have any idea of the consequences? The Administrators will not tolerate such defiance. You risk not only your existence but the stability of all realms!"

Jeremy met the Demon God’s gaze, his eyes glowing with the unmistakable power of a Singularity.

"I am beyond their control," he said, his tone filled with quiet certainty. "I’m not only an Administrator. I’m something they cannot predict, something they cannot contain. Their agreements, their rules—they don’t concern me."

The Demon God took a step back, momentarily thrown off balance by Jeremy’s words. He had encountered many powerful beings in his time, but none had ever spoken with such certainty, such defiance against the cosmic order.

"You’re playing with forces you can’t possibly understand, mortal. The Administrators will come for you, and when they do, you’ll see the folly of your arrogance."

Jeremy’s lips curled into a slight smile. "Let them come. I’m not afraid of them. They’ll find that I’m not just another pawn in their game. I’m the one who changes the rules."

The Demon God fell silent, the weight of Jeremy’s words sinking in. He had underestimated this human, this Singularity.

What he once saw as mere ambition was something far more dangerous—an unyielding will to reshape the very fabric of reality.

But he also knew that Jeremy’s boldness could be his downfall. "If you defy the Administrators, you’ll need more than just raw power," the Demon God warned, his voice now more measured. "You’ll need allies, knowledge, and the wisdom to navigate the chaos you’re about to unleash."

Jeremy nodded, acknowledging the truth in the Demon God’s words. "Which is why I’m here. I didn’t come to destroy you—not yet, anyway. I came to learn. You’ve ruled this realm for centuries, and I need to know what you know before I decide how to proceed."

The Demon God studied Jeremy for a long moment, weighing his options. Finally, he spoke, his tone carrying a grudging respect. "You’re bold, Singularity. And perhaps, in another time, we might have been allies. But make no mistake—if you tread this path, there will be no turning back."

Jeremy’s expression hardened, his resolve unshaken. "I have no intention of turning back. I’m here to reshape everything—starting with you and your realm. But for now, you live. Tell me what I need to know, and perhaps there’s a place for you in the new order I’m creating."

The Demon God’s gaze darkened, but he nodded slowly, recognizing the inevitable. "Very well. But remember, Singularity—when the time comes, and the Administrators descend upon you, you’ll need more than just ambition to survive."

Jeremy held his ground, his divine blade still crackling with energy, but he made no move to strike. The Demon God, towering and formidable, watched him with a mix of confusion and wariness. The tension in the throne room was palpable, the very air thick with the clash of their energies. 𝕗𝚛𝚎𝚎𝐰𝗲𝗯𝗻𝚘𝚟𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝕞

"Why do you hesitate?" the Demon God rumbled, his voice echoing through the chamber. His fiery eyes narrowed, searching for any sign of weakness. "You came all this way, cut down my armies, and now you stand there, weapon in hand, but do nothing. What game are you playing?"

Jeremy lowered his blade slightly, hisgaze never leaving the Demon God. "I’m not here to fight you. Not yet."

The Demon God’s expression shifted, surprise flickering across his features. "Not here to fight? Then what is your purpose, mortal?"

"I came to make it clear that your reign is coming to an end," Jeremy replied calmly. "But I’m not foolish enough to strike without understanding the full scope of what lies ahead. There’s more at stake here than just this throne."

Sariel, who had been standing silently behind Jeremy, stepped forward, her wings still glowing softly in the dim light of the throne room. "We need information," she said, her voice carrying a calm authority. "Your power, your throne—these are things we could take by force, but knowledge... that’s something you have and we need."

The Demon God chuckled darkly, his laughter resonating through the chamber. "You think I’ll just hand over my secrets? That I’ll reveal the inner workings of the realms to the very beings who seek to overthrow me?"

Jeremy sheathed his blade, a gesture that seemed to unsettle the Demon God even further. "I don’t expect you to hand over anything. But I do expect you to realize that your position is far more precarious than it seems. I could destroy you here and now but I’d rather know what you know. I want to understand what happens after your fall."

The Demon God’s fiery gaze bore into Jeremy, the weight of his centuries of rule pressing down on the intruder. "And why should I help you? What do I gain from delaying the inevitable?"

Jeremy met his gaze, unflinching. "Survival. For now, at least. We both know there are forces at play beyond this fortress, beyond even the power you hold. The Administrators won’t sit idle. You might hate me, but you know I’m right."

The Demon God remained silent for a long moment, his expression unreadable.

Without warning, he launched himself at Jeremy, his massive form crashing through the throne room with the force of an earthquake.
