SSS Grade Pervert: I Rule The World
Chapter 15: Grandmother
Waa...
Tears were streaming down Emi’s face, and I finally stopped bullying her. This wasn’t only to distract her attention from the horror she was getting deep into, but also my little revenge for how much she had been bossing me around in the past.
"Hmph, this should be enough," I said, looking down at her, when suddenly I heard the system prompt once again.
[Congratulations, Host, on dominating your stepsister for the first time. Rewards are being calculated.]
Reward: +10 Physique
Perverted Point: 100
Forbidden Point: 1
Suddenly, I felt a huge surge of power running through my body, as these 10 physique points came into effect. In the past, I had never felt anything special about these physical points. But after the Evolution, I was able to sense the changes in the strength of my body much more clearly.
This new power felt amazing; the only thing I lacked was good fighting skills, or I might try out having a one-on-one match with these demons.
While I was getting cocky over my new stat boost, I lifted my head a little to look at the window, and by now the flames on the tree had completely subsided. But I was still clearly able to remember that hideous face formed from the flames, that thing I saw was quite similar to that tree face demon we saw earlier, it was still fresh in my eyes. I was ready to cover Emi’s eyes, but she had already been targeted by that sound demon from the deep forest, leaving me with only one option to protect her first, instead of testing out that fire demon.
Sadly, now it was gone, the flames had been put out by the rain, and the tree had been reduced to ashes, mixing with the soil, under the heavy storm. Now, there was no way for me to do any research about these demons. Well, I do have a way. I looked at the narrow path that was covered in darkness, from where Emi had heard a strange voice. My intuition tells me that way will take me to the culprits I was looking for.
Suddenly, I heard the slow footsteps sound coming from the other side of the door. As I turned to look at the door, I felt something moving outside in the rain at an extremely fast pace. I instantly turned behind once again, but there was nothing outside, just rain, wind, and lightning.
By now, the doorknob was already being rotated by someone from outside the door. I instantly lay flat on the floor, closing my eyes shut, acting as if I was in a deep slumber, but my ears were clearly open. I was able to hear the sound of the door being pulled open, very slowly. Emi was still grabbing my t-shirt from the back, and I was able to feel it.
Once the door was opened, the silence descended into the room, but on a certain scale, I was able to tell who was at the gate. The reason I was acting asleep was simply because of that.
"Emi... why are you crying? And why are you lying on the floor, dear?" This was my grandmother’s voice, but you know, this voice felt strange. I don’t like it, simply because her words seemed to apply to Emi, not to me. This wasn’t fair, as the old lady, she needs to have some shame. Her grandson had come from far away into this hellhole to take care of her and her husband, yet she wasn’t appreciating my efforts.
"The bed got wet from the rainwater, so we slept here," Emi replied, but she still hadn’t let go of my t-shirt. Thinking about her pitiful face, I really wanted to end this horror game as soon as possible. But I couldn’t just burn everything down in hellfire; it would turn the thrill to zero. If I were eventually to reveal my powers to her, then I needed the grand event, so my power wouldn’t appear cheap. After all, each of them I had earned with a lot of effort.
"Dear, you should have come to our room. Why are you lying on the floor?"
What a sweet grandmother I got, but I could feel the fishiness in her words; the storm was roaring outside, and the lightning had fallen straight in front of our house, and it still took her so long to come and check on her grandchildren.
"Um... Ricky~" I heard Emi’s low voice, while she pulled on my t-shirt, wanting me to go with her into our grandparents’ room. Of course, who was I to follow someone? I acted deep asleep, waiting for something interesting to happen. After all, I was still not sure about this old hag; I had to be a little bit considerate.
"Dear, you catch a cold if you lie there, there are even a lot of insects crawling around." I was able to hear the clear persuasion in my grandmother’s voice. This was exactly what I wanted to hear; the story was completely on the line of slow-burn horror.
Now, either I disrupt the flow or wait a little longer for these demons to reveal themselves. Alas, I don’t like gambling, especially when the stakes that are on line are mine. I couldn’t afford to bet my treasure chest to hunt some low-key demons; they aren’t worth such high bait.
