Chapter 292: Relizantion (6)

Luke already knew that the cloaked boy had come from another world and had come to help as well. Still, he soon lost interest when he had chosen Frank to be the one who would face those so-called legendary overlords. Luke also quickly assumed that the fire titan that killed Rina’s parents and the one who opened that crater in Shalia’s world was one of those. Or at least they were at a close level. It would be troublesome if that weren’t the case and the legendary overlords had the power to destroy worlds instantly. Truly troublesome...

"I thought that Frank was the one from this world that could help me with that work, but I was wrong," the cloaked boy said. "After I passed all my knowledge to him, he stopped being mindful of his actions, and he began to force people to become his followers. As you said, he noted that I was unsatisfied with that and made some of his men, people that I didn’t meet, to infiltrate groups that would eventually join yours."

"Why didn’t he kill you or force you to a prison if he knew that you would do that?" Luke asked.

"He probably imagined that I would be able to escape. Combat isn’t my specialty, but I can do a lot more," The cloaked boy replied. "I suppose he is planning to take down everyone that I might want to work with from now on in order to destroy my options."

"Knowing that you still came here," Luke said.

"Indeed, I have caused you all, no... I will cause you a lot of trouble, but everything that I offer in exchange will be worth those problems," the cloaked boy said, and then he took out his hood and showed his face. "I was born without the vision, but I can see the history of many parallel worlds in exchange for that. I have seen countless worlds and universes being destroyed due to this war, so there are few people in this universe that can claim that they know more than I do.

The boy didn’t look that older than Danielle, but considering his words, he might be dozens of times older than anyone around. He was probably from a race that ages extremely slowly, or the nature of his power is just like that. When he obtained that power, he stopped ageing...

In any case, the boy was as pale as someone could be without being a ghost, and he also didn’t have a single line of hair on his face. He was probably the person Luke talked to until now that looked more alien... Not because of his appearance but because of his presence. It was similar to the presence of those who served other’s overlords. Still, instead of a colorful aura that emitted animosity, he emitted one full of understanding.

"My name is Aivern. It is a pleasure to meet you all," the boy said. "Although I say that, I have the knowledge of others that have met some of you."

"Since that is the case, then you can answer a few simple questions," Luke said. "Why is all of this happening? Why does this system exist?"

"I don’t know, many others versions of me looked for this answer, but their lives ended before they could find it," Aivern said.

"That is very convenient, don’t you think?" Luke frowned.

"Indeed, but I know that you will ask me next why I have this power," Aivern said. "I don’t know exactly why I have this power. All that I know is that I lose it every time a universe is done and my experience becomes available to other versions of me. So, I concluded that the universe has some kind of will, and it chose me for that role. Your next question will be how come you taught everything to Frank. That should be impossible, right?"

Instead of being surprised, Luke was getting annoyed. He felt like he was getting trolled by Joseph Joestar. Still, the boy was right, and everyone looked at Luke, waiting for confirmation.

"What am I thinking now?" Luke asked. "There is also a possibility that you are just reading my mind."

"I suppose that makes sense, but the answer is white and black," Aivern said. "Do I need to explain that?"

"No, you are the real deal," Luke said.

Luke was about to ask about the color of the panties that Rina and Shalia were wearing, and even though he hadn’t thought of that, Aivern knew that Luke would have kept quiet once he asked. It was a very troublesome and convoluted way to confirm the power of that boy. Still, Luke confirmed that, while the others just looked confused.

In any case, things suddenly got really complicated and escalated way too fast. If Aivern had come to Earth, then he still was finding a way to end the circle of destruction that he had witnessed countless times. It was amazing that his head was still fine, considering that he saw the destruction of worlds and universes more than once. Just by thinking about it, Luke could feel a cold in his stomach. Still, if some universes have been destroyed already, could mere mortals change anything?

"I have a question since you choose this Frank person and now Luke, does that mean that all the other versions of you never tried to work with the people from Earth?" Nambra asked.

"Yes, this is the first time," Aivern replied while showing a small smile.

It seemed like the reaction of someone that had met an old friend... Perhaps Aivern saw an alternate version of himself that worked with her... But it seemed that things didn’t go well. That was why Luke decided not to ask. In any case... Luke’s actions will have to be considered with more caution now...
