Surviving the Apocalypse While Being Tempted by an Elf and a Dark Elf
Chapter 339: Forward (4)
Luke put the final part of his plan into motion at night. He was so high in the sky, and thanks to the darkness of the night, no one could see what he was about to do. Even his flying fortress only looked like a massive cloud from a distance. In any case, he moved to the border of his fortress and then summoned his katana. It was time to see if the name of that weapon was an exaggeration or not. The plan seened a bit reckless since he might ended up killing himself. Still, he couldn’t think of anyt better solution and way to deal with the an underwater enemy. 𝐟𝐫𝕖𝗲𝘄𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝕧𝐞𝚕.𝕔𝕠𝐦
Luke jumped from his fortress and then began to concentrate his mana on the sword. Using the weapon like Frank used could work, but it also would alert the enemy once a massive iceberg falls on the water. Most overlords would have enough time to escape. However, what if Luke freezes the entire area? Just like him, when he was covered in ice, he failed to use Checkpoint, so he imagined that any form of teleportation would also become impossible. If anything, it would at least kill all of the enemies nearby and give a fatal blow to the enemy’s army.
Regardless, Luke began to ingest countless mana Crystals while he was falling, and he passed the whole energy to his sword. Eventually, the weapon was emitting so much cold that Luke felt that he would be killed by his own attack. At the very least, he will freeze over and stay like that. Fortunately, things improved a bit when he focused all the mana on the tip of the katana
Eventually, Luke used all the mana he had stored in the last few days on the tip of his sword, and when he saw the dark ocean approaching. It was quite scary that view, but Luke didn’t falter and eventually touched the ocean with the katana. A sudden wave of coldness spread across the area the next moment. It was so powerful that it froze the surface instantly and stopped Luke from touching the water himself.
"So... fucking... cold..." Luke muttered while trembling.
That is what happens when one tests such an effect for the first time without considering the amount of mana. Still, Luke could see and fell that the entire area of the ocean was freezing... even underwater since the ice platform wasn’t going up even a bit. Not to mention...

The notifications came in droves, to the point that Luke was starting to hate it. In any case, that confirmed that he had attacked the right spot, but he was beginning to fear that he had gone too far since the ice was spreading beyond the horizon. Perhaps the ocean wasn’t that deep in that region... even if monsters or an overlord lived down there, the sea could be immensely dark the deeper you go. So, it would be hard to notice enemies approaching.

Luke had considered the possibility, but to think that he would actually kill the Overlord like that... In any case, thanks to the overlord and his monsters, Luke received fourteen million gold coins. Luke was already thinking of using them to buy more potions and do the same sooner In another world. Still, Luke didn’t know one big problem with that strategy... All the loot was frozen below him.
"I suppose it can’t be helped... at least I obtained an interesting skill and tons of coins," Luke thought. "Let’s just gather the skeletons and head to the next world."
While Luke was waiting for the skeletons, he decided to finish his armor once and for all. During that time, he also realized that he wouldn’t lose to half-assed overlords, and that was good. However, he needed the right conditions and some preparation for that, so he couldn’t get carried away.
Around the time the skeletons finally finished gathering, Luke also completed his armor. It was very different from any armor that he had seen or wore, but he felt confident because he made sure to use all the ores available. Thanks to that, it was pretty heavy...
Giantic Chain Armor (Celestial)
Endurance + 500, Resistence + 500
Durability: 1000/1000
It didn’t have any effects since Luke was a newbie when it came to making things, but the parameters were still surprisingly good. The trick behind making something like that, despite having no experience, was that Luke made several small platers with the ores and connected them together with smaller chains, also made of the magic ore. So, to some extent, the plates’ defenses added one above the other. In any case, at least it wasn’t something that Luke could buy with his current budget.
Regardless, Luke quickly looked for another planet to head to while hoping that it wouldn’t be only water on the surface. After a couple of hours after his departure, several flying fortresses appeared on that world and saw what he had done. Five days had passed since the attack, but there was no sign of Luke’s ’ice continent’ ever disappearing. Those individuals could see that many creatures died from that attack without checking it.
"It was true... he really eliminated most of the life of this world."
"I can only sense his mana, so he did this alone. However, he is on the wrong path."
"... Let’s check the other places before deciding anything."
Those flying fortresses disappeared without leaving a trace, and Luke had no idea that he had been watched during the whole time and still would be for who knows how long...
