Luke nodded to himself in satisfaction after checking his parameters. He wished that he could raise his focus until he reaches the same level as the red giant, but in the end, he probably would draw too much attention to himself. It would be better if he kept his power at a level where most enemies would underestimate him. Besides, he could use the Essence Sword against overlords with stupid amounts of health. Since they would regenerate faster than any monster, it would be a pretty good way to get stronger in the middle of a fight.

"It is time to go..." Luke thought. "When it comes to overlords level, I should be a little below middle tier right now. It would be better if I just could keep training and getting stronger at this pace and then overpower all of them, but I suppose I don’t have time now that this weird structure appeared."

Luke looked for the planet that Cresta mentioned, and then the Teleported the fortress. Once again, Luke saw himself in a green world that had a large and tall forest. It was probably one of the best places to hide his fortress... Still, just in case, Luke increased the size of the fortress using the terrain of that world. He made sure to cover the top with a lot of green to make it look like a mountain from a distance.

In any case, Luke looked for the sun of that world and then used Clairvoyance to see things beyond the atmosphere. He found a few worlds along the way, but it was hard to say if they were proper for him to stop. He could Teleport to his main destination using the mana of a clone, but that would leave him vulnerable since he would need to destroy his dimension.

After using Clairvoyance for a while longer, he found the structure that Cresta mentioned. It really stood out even in that area, in which Luke found numerous planets with rings along the way. The structure looked massive... even when Luke’s eyes approached with Clairvoyance, it took a while for him to see things in detail. It was hard to believe, but it was two times larger than Earth and had a length that was fifteen times of his width.

"How can something like that be created... Even with magic, it would take too long," Luke thought.

Luke didn’t have any elemental Creation now, so he could only imagine how much mana one would need to create that. Considering its shape and the fact that it was slowly rotating around its axis like a planet, Luke assumed that it had been created all at once. At the top of the tower, Luke could see something to a sun emitting a lot of light. It had quite the powerful magic presence as well. But most of the light was being sucked by the weird black hole that was the size of the structure. Seeing it wasn’t possible since that sucks all light around, but one could feel and imagine how it was... It was basically a giant sphere covered by the light that it was sucking.

Thanks to his extra focus, Luke could watch things that far away for quite a while, so he tried to see if he could see something that might help Luke. Still, he didn’t find anything around the structure. Only the entrance was at the center of the bottom, and it was pretty small considering the size of that thing. There were no windows either. So, the people outside couldn’t see things happening inside. When Luke tried to use Clairvoyance to deal with that, the spell suddenly ended, and he still had mana.

"I guess the structure has a defensive system as well... It can counter magic or probably just Clairvoyance," Luke thought.

The same thing happened when Luke tried to check the top of the structure, so he decided to give up and move on. Luke had checked the path, and since he didn’t find anything suspicious on the way, he decided to distort the space and move directly to the entrance of the tower. Weirdly enough, he didn’t enter, even though he wished for it. It seemed that even that type of spell wouldn’t work there, and that was kind of worrying. Still, Luke got close enough to move and approach after using Stinger only once.

As soon as he crossed the entrance, Luke felt gravity returning to normal... Or so he thought. Gravity inside the tower was a lot more powerful there than any other place Luke had been. Around twenty times of Earth’s gravity. Luke’s body could withstand that, but he wouldn’t be as fast as usual, and that was problematic.

"At least I wasn’t attacked as soon as I arrived..." Luke thought while looking around.

Luke saw himself in the middle of a pretty large room. He could see the walls and the ceiling that was all brown, but they were pretty far away. There were no signs of battles around, even though Luke confirmed that he could use space magic and Clairvoyance again...

"It seems I can leave using magic, but I can’t enter using it... Well, I suppose sealing some spells inside this place would make things complicated for some," Luke thought.

In any case, Luke eventually finds a big door that leads him to another section of the tower. Once he crossed it, Luke saw himself in the middle of a desert... It almost felt like he was Teleported, but then he looked behind, and he could see the door, but not that area that he had been. It was weird, but it was like they were connected, even though they were two different dimensions.

"What the hell is going on here..." Luke thought.

Luke could understand why a place would be divided into zones like that... If it were a game, but that was reality. Probably. It has been a while since he pondered if he was truly living or if he was dreaming. The longest dream in human history, possibly. Regardless, the desert stretched for as long as Luke’s eyes could see. The temperature was bad enough to make even Luke feel annoyed, to make things worse. Just like gravity, the weather sure had been enhanced.

"If this were yu gi Oh, some asshole would challenge me now, and they would totally have the advantage of terrain," Luke thought.

It was hard to detect any enemies around since the desert was dense with mana. That was why the temperature was so high. Regardless, Luke had to find the way up since that shitty tower was immense, and he didn’t have time to waste.

While using his katana to make the weather more bearable, Luke began to run while looking for some sort of stair. One couldn’t say if that tower had a region like that for each floor. Still, Luke decided to think that the creator of the place wouldn’t be creative enough to create floors with multiple weathers like that. In any case, after a while, Luke felt some slight vibrations on the ground, and he knew that something was coming.

Luke jumped, and he wasn’t surprised to see an Earthworm rising from the sand to eat him alive. What got him surprised was the fact that it was one hundred meters long. Something that big wasn’t supposed to be that fast... Regardless, the creature managed to swallow Luke... But only because he allowed it. He figured out that it would be easy to cut the monster from inside. Even before the creature could fall, Luke began to slice up its interior and made his Essence Sword do its magic.

"Hmm, I wonder if I should keep increasing my focus," Luke thought while he was leaving the mouth of the creature. "That will increase my survivability, but it seems that things here will be different than I expected. So, I have to adapt better."

Luke was only expecting to see overlords, which helped him, so it was fine. He only changed his mind a bit when he found some giant scorpions emerging from the ground and firing poison like it was a beam from their tails. They were quite fast, so Luke had a hard time approaching them.

"I want to do some tests, but showing my skills here is kind of dangerous," Luke thought while looking around.

After thinking for a short while, Luke assumed that someone who would need to hide and observe his targets after coming to a place like that probably wouldn’t be a threat to Luke. Also, the mana around makes things hard for everyone, not just him. So, he will be hard to be tracked. With that in mind, Luke made one scorpion fall into a hole that connected to his dimension. He wanted to see for how long a monster could survive there while he drained their blood, but Luke had a surprise.

"... Ah, the clone killed it," Luke thought.

Luke had made the clone train with a sword, and the space of the dimension wasn’t that big, to begin with since he needed to conserve his mana. Still, that wasn’t a half-bad method to kill small fries. The only problem was the fact that Essense Sword wouldn’t get their blood. It was better to do that only with inorganic monsters.

In any case, the number of encounters began to increase as Luke moved. He didn’t even know if he was heading in the right direction, but that made him think that he was. Still, at the same time, the scorpions and the earthworms began to get stronger as well. Luke wondered if he should turn the corpses into skeletons, he didn’t have time for that, and his mind was already too busy fighting against the weather.

"No, maybe I just should endure this. I am lacking in the mental fortitude department, after all," Luke thought.

Luke had a golden chance to think of new strategies in his dimension, but since it was something that tested his patience, he couldn’t do it for too long. He needed the feeling that he was making progress with his goal, real progress. Regardless, Luke kept moving and using his Essence Sword until the whole desert began to tremble...
