Emrys observed the brightest light for a while, then started flying towards it. He felt an unknown attraction from the light as if he was being called there.

As he got closer to the light, he felt a weird connection, and this connection grew stronger with each passing second.

Very soon, he got in the range of the light and was instantly sucked as brilliant light blinded his eyes.

At the same time, Emrys felt a gentle force drawing him to somewhere. While at it, he saw some fragmented visions, but in the blink of an eye, the vision vanished.

The next second, he found himself standing in front of a colossal gate. The gate’s frame was forged from intertwining currents of starlight and void energy. It was golden in color and was tightly closed.

Emrys stretched out his hand, wanting to touch the gate, but before he could do that, the gate cracked open from the middle, producing a strange noise.

He frowned and then focused. He wanted to observe what is beyond this gate, but before he could do that, he was again sucked inside the gate directly.

When everything cleared, Emrys found himself standing inside a silver world filled with countless runes. These were Divine Runes, but much more complicated and upgraded versions of the runes he had comprehended back in the Celestial Horizon.

It was at this time, to Emrys’s shock that the Soulforge Prism Orb flew out of his body automatically and then exploded.

BANG!

Emrys was forced to close his eyes, but he could feel something or some foreign energy entering his body, integrating with his body and soul the same.

This process didn’t take long, ending in less than five minutes.

When Emrys felt his surroundings had calmed down, he again opened his eyes, only to be shocked beyond belief.

It is because he watched as those countless runes were nowhere to be seen. They seemed to have disappeared mysteriously. He was also in an entirely different space, or perhaps a world now. He found himself standing inside a room, with a book floating in front of him.

This book was bound by chains, and there seemed to be a lock binding the chains together. Only after opening this lock can he remove the chains and open the book to see the contents recorded inside. 𝑓𝓇𝘦ℯ𝘸𝘦𝑏𝓃𝑜𝘷ℯ𝑙.𝑐𝑜𝓂

The lock was strange. It didn’t have any keyhole, but a small piece seemed to be missing from a corner.

To Emrys’s astonishment, the missing piece appeared to be the exact same size and shape as the KEY he had obtained from Long Xiao.

"Is this it?"

Emrys immediately took out the gemstone, which is also the KEY that would allow him to witness an Extreme, and gently placed it into the empty slot on the lock.

The moment the gemstone touched the lock, it clicked into place with a soft yet echoing sound, and then, a surge of light burst from the contact point as the gemstone and the lock fused seamlessly.

Following that, thin golden lines spread across the surface of the lock, like glowing veins. A split second later, the entire lock shattered into dust, turning into countless specks of radiant light that floated upward and vanished into the air.

Clang! Clang! Clang!

One after another, the chains that had tightly bound the book began to tremble violently. Their metallic clinks echoed across the space like the tolling of celestial bells. And then, they snapped one by one as well and exploded into shimmering fragments of starlight that scattered and dissolved in the surrounding air.

In mere moments, the thick chains binding the book were gone.

Now, only the book remained, floating silently in front of Emrys.

Emrys hesitated a little before extending his hand slowly.

The instant Emrys’s fingers made contact with the book, it emitted a sudden flash of light before settling into a calm glow. Yet, in that brief moment, something triggered within him, causing Emrys to lose consciousness and collapse to the ground.

There was a dark Cosmic Field floating in the Infinite Expanse of Darkness which is also called the Vast Expanse of Eternity. The guardian of this Cosmic Field was a huge demonic tree whose roots seemed to have pierced into every node supporting this Cosmic Field.

Suddenly, a massive mouth materialized in the darkness. It had no facial features, but its size was beyond comprehension. The mouth bore a resemblance to that of a dragon, though it was impossible to tell for sure due to the lack of any other distinguishing features.

The gaping maw was too fast. As soon as it materialized, it swallowed the entire Cosmic Field along with its guardian, the Tree of Abyss.

That Cosmic Field was Abyss. The existence of the Abyss disappeared from the surface of Eternity.

As for the massive mouth, it disappeared instantly after swallowing the entire Cosmic Field. The only thing left there was eternal darkness. Not a single chaotic ripple appeared even though an entire Cosmic Field was devoured. And the person who did everything was standing in the void far from the location where Abyss once existed. It was him, the person who swallowed a Cosmic Field just like how a little child swallows candy accidentally.

He was a supreme being who understood the nine Absolute Rules of Eternity. The instant he devoured the abyss and obtained everything the Abyss had to offer, he entered a mysterious state and comprehended that one single rule which is the reason behind every creation and every beginning. He understood the Rule of Nothingness.

Even this supreme being did not expect that the instant he comprehended the Rule of Nothingness, his entire being began to go through a transformation. His cultivation soared rapidly as he leveled up several major realms in succession. This process continued for an unknown period of time, and in the end, he himself became "Nothingness".

What is nothingness?

Nothingness is the absence of life or existence. Nothingness is a state where nothing exists.

However, by the time that person became one with Nothingness, existence had already reached its peak. Not only Worlds and Source Universes exist, but countless Cosmic Fields and even the Vast Expanses of Eternity were already in place.
