Becoming a Reality Master was not just about cultivating energy or gaining power; it required the comprehension of the very foundation upon which all of Eternity was built.

To ascend into the realm of a Reality Master, one must comprehend both the Nine Absolute Laws of Eternity and the Nine Soul Laws. These eighteen laws governed every single thing in the Inked Tale Omniverse, including existence, destruction, fate, causality, soul, memory, and beyond. These eighteen rules are the pillars that hold together the very fabric of reality.

However, no one had ever managed to become a Reality Master, and there was a reason for that.

It was not simply a matter of talent or power. Completely comprehending more than one Absolute Rule of Eternity was already a feat that only a handful of cultivators in the history of the omniverse had ever achieved. As for comprehending all nine Absolute Rules of Eternity, it was almost unthinkable. Moreover, the existence of the Nine Soul Laws was known to very few, and perhaps only the Spiritas Race possessed true knowledge of them. Spiritas could only comprehend Soul Laws, not the Absolute Rules.

Since that’s the case, no single being has ever managed to comprehend all eighteen laws at the same time. Not a single cultivation system across the omniverse covers both soul and energy; thus, they never included methods for dual comprehension.

The Absolute Rules were mainly cultivated through Cosmic and Myriad Cultivation Paths, while the Soul Laws were accessible only through the Soul Cultivation Path, which itself was rare and often neglected. Most cultivators specialized in one path and disregarded the others entirely.

Furthermore, the cultivation environment of the Inked Tale Omniverse was never designed to allow the unification of these laws. The paths had been deliberately split, the knowledge scattered, and the understanding of these laws kept in fragments across various races, eternities, and legacies. It was as if something or some unknown force had ensured that no one could ever reach the threshold needed to ascend to the level of a Reality Master.

This is also one of the reasons Ling Xiaolong "created" Emrys. Emrys in himself was a miracle. Not only had he cultivated all three paths to their peak, but he had also achieved Level 8 authority in Nine Absolute Rules and Nine Soul Laws. As long as Emrys could break through and obtain Level 9 Authority, then he would be the first true Reality Master to emerge from the Inked Tale Omniverse. And perhaps, just perhaps, the first one to qualify for entry into the Second Reality.

As for Ling Xiaolong, the only person who actually comprehended Nothingness and became one with it, he is far too mysterious and strong to be limited by Inked Tale Omniverse.

Perhaps, he already has strength far above Reality Master.

While someone from the Second Reality had yet to descend into the Inked Tale Omniverse, Emrys not only established his own force—the Eternal Sect—but also began his first true secluded cultivation within the bounds of Eternity.

He was already omnipresent, capable of perceiving every corner of the omniverse without physically being there. Thus, while in seclusion, he began observing the flow of causality, fate, and the deeper layers of time and space across all of existence. He started watching every single life, whether they were mortal or not, ant or dragon, devil or immortal.

His intent was no longer simply to grow stronger, but to understand. He focused his mind on the subtle threads that connected all things: the shifting currents of destiny, the hidden patterns of karma, and the traces of past and future that intersected through every moment.

He observed battles between powers, the birth and death of stars, and the silent awakening of ancient creatures. He saw the web of the omniverse stretch and twist, and began identifying those tiny shifts that indicated someone from the Second Reality might already be influencing events in unseen ways.

With each passing year, Emrys deepened his comprehension of the Nine Absolute Laws of Eternity and Nine Soul Laws, aiming to raise his authority from Level 8 to the final Level 9.

Unknowingly, his existence began to resonate with the structure of reality (Inked Tale Omniverse), and strange phenomena started occurring everywhere.

While at it, he unknowingly started to understand the meaning of Reality Master. Becoming a Reality Master was not just about achieving dominance over all eighteen laws. It was about being capable of rewriting your own reality.

A Reality Master had to become an anchor of their own universe, severed from the control of the omniverse’s Absolute Framework. In simpler terms, one must stop being a part of the Inked Tale Omniverse and become a reality unto themselves.

But herein lay the second reason why no one had ever succeeded. It is Willpower.

The process required a cultivator to reject the framework of a reality that had raised them. They had to first comprehend all eighteen laws and then sever their existence from these laws that defined them, abandon the comfort of the known, and forge a new paradigm of reality within themselves.

No one in Inked Tale Omniverse had ever achieved this stage of cultivation. Emrys, however, was different. He was born of a ray from the Sun of Mysteries, wielded the Tree of Origin as his Soul Mark, and had awakened all six Racial Talents. His Omni Presence allowed him to witness all changes within the omniverse, and his cultivation path was already independent of convention.

Even though he didn’t know that he wasn’t merely following the "path", he was the path.

Ling Xiaolong had once said to him, "The door to the Second Reality is locked not by chains, but by fear—fear of what lies beyond, and fear of letting go."

Emrys wanted to face this fear and overcome it.

However, even after ten thousand years, he was no way near touching the last barrier, let alone breaking it and transcending.
