The light elemental plane was always a beautiful sight. Not many people truly realized how many forms that light mana could take without the direct influence of another elemental mana. Especially since there were plenty of monsters that consumed different forms of the light mana and in turn released yet another different form.

The garden-like area that Walker followed upon sensing a larger amount of light mana gathering a distance away was even more beautiful.

The herbs he was looking at went from mushrooms that fed on red light mana to green dandelions that radiated green light mana after absorbing yellow light mana. It was enough that he was sure that Remey would have asked him a million questions if she had come this way too.

He even gathered a bit here and there when he saw something new or saw something that he believed would easily survive within the world. He didn’t want to gather too much though, the entire area felt peaceful and calm so he wanted to ensure that he did not disrupt that at all.

Looking ahead though, the larger gathering of light mana did not appear to be that of a monster or an intelligent race. It almost felt like a naturally occurring rune gathering and being born. But that shouldn’t be the case since the light elemental plane would have plenty of those naturally forming runes.

That would specifically mean that it would not generate and gather that much light mana to put itself out by comparison. Therefore, something else must be happening to cause these issues.

Since he didn’t get any quest or notification from the system, Walker was left curious about what else might be happening. If it was a new piece of the light elemental plane grown or dropped in by an origin race member, then it would make more sense.

Trees made of white bark and wood seemed to sprout out of nowhere taking root through the light elemental plane. It made the garden-like area seem less than since it didn’t have the towering might of these trees.

Yet, the trees all seemed too new. They were too different from the terrain before and could easily be said to be shocking. Not because of their size, but because of the fact that there were no bushes or smaller young trees transitioning into this forest. It was like someone had cut this forest out of a picture and stuck it here.

’Light starved forest’

This is a monster that consumes light at a massive rate to grow its plant like appendages. It is more easily confused for a group of trees than it is as anything else. It has various branches that it can use to attack prey and create nutrients to consume with its small roots like mouths. It also produces small hairs and dust that will attract smaller prey monsters to it to create a temporary ecosystem.

It will constantly gather and absorb light mana to grow better, due to this it is called light starved. As such, it will grow rapidly causing an entire larger area to be changed for a short period of time. Once it has consumed enough mana it will produce a small clutch of eggs that it will whip out and away from one another so that they may hatch and develop in separate areas without competition.

The remaining area will be left barren due to the rapid consumption of prey, nutrients, and light mana. This is why many intelligent races within the light elemental plane will destroy these monsters once they see them. The only challenge is that they will copy the form of the pure white ash trees that are considered very valuable to the light elemental alone for their abilities to purify the light mana around the borders of the light elemental plane.

The best way to destroy this monster, is to have it accidentally absorb manas not from the light elemental plane. Those manas will cause it to become ill and release the light mana within itself. In turn, this will make it perish and leave behind a body to degrade and return the nutrients that it stole from the area...’

Walker wasn’t all too disappointed. He was glad to give this small area of the light elemental plane some help by poisoning the light starved forest monster. He also felt that with it destroyed he was protecting the beautiful bit of nature he had walked through just a short while before.

As he watched the drop of dark mana he had just pushed into the monster’s body, the trees began to shrivel and light mana poured out of every leaf. With how this appeared, it was clearer that the monster was in fact a monster. The roots also shifted causing it to look like a tentacled creature instead of trees.

"Thank you for assisting in my garden’s growth and safety."

"Of course, I enjoyed walking through it and even took some herbs from it for my return home. I could not leave without showing gratitude." The reason that Walker did not react fearfully at the voice was because he assumed such a beautiful place would have a guardian or something intelligent. But he was not expecting the small creature that appeared.

’Light streak rabbit

This is an intelligent race barely known to any other race. They live hidden within the light using their fur’s magically charged light mana to blend in with every light based environment that they travel. It is said that seeing one is only ever on their terms and will never be done without their permission.

They are one of the oldest races within the light elemental planes but do not often act unless they see a reason to. This is due to their larger numbers and the fact that they prefer the natural state of the light elemental planes over any changing states.

The elders of the light streak rabbit race could be called as powerful as the light related dragons due to their age and high numbers. They also do not fall under the rule of anyone, including the light elemental king due to them existing before the will of the light elemental alone condensed and became the...’

The overwhelming flow of information told Walker so much about the perfect white rabbit with white eyes that had appeared from nowhere. He could sense its potent light mana and knew that it would dance around him like he couldn’t even walk if they had a battle of light mana.

"I have enjoyed this garden for some time. My family lives here when they need to rest. That monster moved here recently and I did not have the heart to harm it. It is part of nature too, but it would have done a great deal of harm. Maybe you can investigate the new additions to the light elemental plane over yonder."

The flash of light that came about was taken from the light mana bleeding from the monster he had defeated. The light streak rabbit clearly influenced the mana and pushed it to create a small wisp to guide him.

When Walker turned to reply, he found nothing there. A perfectly stealthy and hidden being that didn’t bother with grand politics, power plays, or anything that was not related to enjoying the nature around them. It truly made Walker consider the unique sides of races that developed everywhere. Especially one that was not governed by the literal will of the light elemental plane that formed due to everything that existed within the light elemental plane.

Putting everything to the side, Walker moved ahead with the flow of the light used to give him a path. He didn’t say no, nor did he make promises. He just found it interesting. He had helped because he happened to be here and noticed something worth the all around appraisal. Now, he would head toward something that might be a problem.

The area quickly changed back to the garden-like area he enjoyed, but this was a bit wilder. Some sharper plants and more clearly marked small monster nests were around. But the light mana around was still dense proving that there was more to everything he was sensing and seeing.

As he moved even faster trying to see more, Walker swore he heard something shouting, but he stopped and didn’t hear it again. It might have just been a distant monster roar, but was that really the case?

Was all this mana he sensed really just here or was he pursuing a fight rather than a potential new area within the light elemental planes? Had that light streak rabbit race member just pushed him toward a real battle and disappeared like nothing had happened?
