The story follows Jayce, an accomplished Swordsman who is killed by a boss monster 10 years after the apocalypse began. One of his last sentences before his death was how he dreamed to be a Chef when he grew up.

After his death, he returns back in time to the release day of Cataclysm. Having 3 months to try and figure out a way to improve his odds of survival this time around.

And the day finally arrived.

Mages wield “Doomstorm” and “Ice Age,” swordsmen boast “Sword Rain: Homecoming” and “Wind-Cutter Slash,” while archers showcase “Arrow Rain: Shooting Stars” and “Storm Arrow.” Yet, my ultimate spells are disturbingly named “Cancer Cell Proliferation,” “T-Virus Infection,” and “Rabies Outbreak.”

In the midst of it all, a certain character, some crying girl, laments, “Noooo, I just took a bath, who would have thought that I would become infected!”

Meanwhile, a villain chillingly asks, “Do any of you know what it feels like to burst apart while spouting blood? No! You don’t know!”

Even a boss character confesses, “Dear family, who can understand? I just took a nap, and when I woke up, I suddenly found that I have no kidneys!”

The Xiao family, known as the poorest amongst the mountaineers had just spent all their savings as dowry for a daughter-in-law, who was disfigured, dark, skinny, and mute. Mocked as the ugliest bride within miles, she eventually had enough of a life in poverty and escaped, only to fall in the hands of rogues who murdered her.
