Three Days of Happiness is a novel by Sugaru Miaki, also known as Fafoo. It’s a rewritten version of the story originally posted to 2ch.

The premise of the story revolves around a shop where one can sell away the remaining years of their life, and the consequences of doing so.

“I Say A Little Prayer” is a short related story which was posted along with the novel’s release. It spoils some things about the main story, but nothing major.

Levi, a young man who spent over a thousand years in a cultivation world, awakens in a hospital only to discover that two years have passed on Earth. The world he left behind has completely changed—mysterious spiritual energy has appeared, transforming Earth into a cultivation world filled with monsters, undead cultivators, and mysterious places like floating islands.Though Levi is furious that the entity who transported him to the other world failed to stop time on Earth as promised, he must now face the new reality. In a world now filled with cultivators, interdimensional conflicts, and the presence of a cultivation leveling system, Levi struggles to adjust to his weakened human body while seeking to uncover what happened to his mysteriously missing family.

A lifetime ago, Chu Xun was shackled and thrown in jail on false charges. For three whole years, he suffered extraodinary torment from his cellmates every day. Even though he had escaped death many times, he still died from his cellmates’ fists the day before he was to be released.

After death, Chu Xun transmigrated to a different world of cultivation, where cultivation was the one true path. Carrying the weight of his hatred, Chu Xun began to cultivate in hopes of becoming an Immortal Emperor, who could manipulate heaven and earth and travel through time. After painstaking cultivation of three thousand years, he succeeded. Then he sacrificed all his cultivation without hesitation and returned to the day before he was to be released.

This life, he wanted to find out the truth and the one behind his murder in last life. He would continue to cultivate and strengthen himself so that the tragedy would not repeat itself. He wanted to master his own destiny.
