And so, he made his ‘Grand Plan’ of running away.

Lin Mu was pushed down the cliff, but he did not die and arrived to a magical world instead.

A huge python with wings and can fly, alright, just think it as the legendary Mayan Snake God;

A gigantic centipede that can fly in the sky, alright, he kinda seen it before in ‘Journey to the West’;

A mighty big wolf with a body as humongous as an elephant, en, just think it as a mutant;

Although the animals in front of him were a little strange, they are still animals but why did all of you suddenly turned into humans? Coming across wild beasts, Lin Mu still can accept it, but coming across ‘*yaojins’, Lin Mu became . . . . . . excited instead. What? You guys are the infamous drifter beastmen? I don’t know anything about that. You guys did a lot of heinous crimes? I don’t see that either.

And so, Lin Mu began a hard but satisfying life of building a home in a another world.

*Yaojin/妖精 doesn’t have a proper English equivalent word. The nearest meaning would be supernatural being or Yokai (Japanese).

In the tribal farming era, the world was vast and unknown. Upon continuous exploration, the people of ancient times were appalled to discover that in this world, where the sky was round and the earth was square, all sorts of miracles had befallen them. There were even figures like an ultra-big ten-thousand-foot giant, as well as huge intelligent beasts that had mysteriously appeared, trampling upon the mountains and rivers, and shattering the earth. Hundreds of years later, in such a dangerous environment, people fought against the huge beasts and finally established the glorious Sumerian civilization. On this day, a wise giant suddenly made a complete descension on earth, trampling on all the mountains and rivers, and wiping out the entire nation. The world crumbled, and city-states collapsed; had the gods descended to condemn the people?

Then, I will shepherd the human race and various worlds in my sandbox.

Is magic really a wish machine?

No! In a universe where magic actually exists, the ultimate nature of magic must be as simple and beautiful as the laws of physics.

This is the story of a mass-produced magic warfare tool man who learned the ultimate nature of magic.

But so what?

Just as a bird can fly without understanding aerodynamics, so a wizard does not need to understand the ultimate nature of magic to use magic.

Knowing the ultimate nature of magic does not mean that the tool man can become a great magician.

But the desire for knowledge is human instinct, and curiosity is the first driving force of human civilization. Humans hope to understand the inner workings of magic, even if it is supposed to be unreasonable.

An inquiry into the ultimate nature of magic, without any justification!

The story in the book takes place in an age where steel dances with gunpowder.

Here, muskets are in the ascendant, armor is still the protagonist, military theories are changing with each passing day, and innovations in systems and craftsmanship are emerging one after another. And this world has one more thing than ours: magic.

The world is undergoing earth-shaking changes, and no one can stay out of it.
