Floki still could not get over the fact that monsters possessed a mechanic similar to an inventory.

Not only that, if goblins, who were among the lowest tiers of monsters, could have such a cheat, what about the monsters above them?

Unfortunately, he could not bring himself to even begin considering those possibilities, as danger, and even death itself, was right in front of him.

CHEE... CHEEE

The muscular goblins began to communicate among themselves in their bestial language, grins spreading across their faces, before one of them stepped out and strode towards Floki with steady and confident steps that resounded across the cavern hall.

This one was the greatsword wielder. The sword in his grasp was almost six feet tall and looked heavy. One would need lots of strength and endurance to use it, and that was one thing the goblins possessed.

CHEE... CHEEE

The goblin uttered in its unintelligible language.

Carrying the greatsword stylishly on its broad shoulder, it stretched its vacant hand and signalled Floki to come and challenge it.

’You’re too ugly to be playing cool,’ Floki thought with hatred and frustration.

He scanned his surroundings for a suitable weapon for him, but there was none at all. The crude weapons of the lesser goblins would not even manage to leave a small wound on these guys.

And his fists would not work wonders either.

In other words, he was universally fucked.

In such a situation, Floki would pick the escape option, but even that option was unavailable.

CHEE.. CHEE

The goblin began to mock him, pointing at him and laughing, revealing a set of ugly teeth that gave Floki the urge to punch it.

Then swiftly, the goblin halted its laughter and turned serious. It swung the greatsword away from its shoulder, pointed it at Floki, then charged at him.

Floki, seeing the sudden change, quickly acted.

Whilst the goblin appeared before him and swung, he moved aside, evading the weapon, which left a deep dent on the ground.

Thanks to the weight and height of the weapon, it was not able to easily maneuver and swing at him again.

The short moment of struggle was enough for Floki to make his next move.

He kicked a wooden baton into the air and caught it before charging at the goblin, who had already dug out its blade and was currently charging at his new location.

Floki ducked using all his might, and when he arrived at his new position, he tossed the baton with all the strength in his possession, which hit the goblin’s defenseless head with a dull, almost funny thud sound.

The move was not that effective, but it made the goblin even more enraged. Not just because of the hit, but because of its colleagues who laughed at it.

CHEE... CHEE

Whatever it was saying, it was clear it wanted to kill Floki even more, but Floki fully utilised its temper and continued his movements.

He would pick up any heavy objects and smash them on his opponent without a single care, maintaining distance as much as possible.

’I am sure those little hits deal damage. Unfortunately, I do not have any inspection skill, and my system is not the type that sends damage notification. It could have been a lot easier,’ Floki thought as he rolled on the ground and barely escaped the cleaving blade.

He ensured not to get close to the other seven muscular goblins who were enjoying the playful torment of their partner. The reason being that goblins were greedy and would even try to steal the kill of their own comrades. Also, on a normal logical sense, nearing them was absolutely not advisable.

’I have just less than three hours to take on all of these guys, and then those powers whose power I have no idea about, and then I also have to destroy the dungeon,’ he complained inwardly, as three hours was not enough with the current situation at hand.

He was not even sure how long it would take to tire out the enraged goblin, but he just had to keep on going.

And after about ten minutes later, his efforts finally yielded their first result.

A much needed notification flashed in his retina.

At the same time, the goblin’s attacks and movement grew sluggish, and even its voice was less rageful. Now, they sounded like someone who was out of breath.

This is my chance.

Floki did not waste time. He charged straight at the goblin whilst grabbing a wooden spear he found on the ground.

The goblin, although in the exhausted state, was still pretty fast, faster than the lesser goblins at their peak.

Its movements were less graceful, forceful, and coordinated, but they still possessed enough power to badly wound him.

BOOM!

As the greatsword landed on the ground, Floki did a swift sidestep to dodge the attack, and then he charged forward again with the spear in his grasp.

He was certain a simple stab with a spear would succeed in finishing the job, but there was no way it would keep standing with multiple stabs.

Floki stabbed the spear’s sharp end into its chest.

The successful attack made the other goblins halt their laughter as the hall fell into stunned silence.

The greatsword-wielding goblin growled painfully and struggled to lift its weapon in an attempt to attack.

"Your time has expired.."

Floki let out as he used a kick to disarm the sword.

Then quickly, as the sword met the ground, he ran towards it and picked it up.

But the result was not what he expected.

The weapon was seriously heavy, even with his level ten strength.

He grunted as he used all his might to swing the sword.

The wide blade spun through the air with a cleaving sound.

Thanks to the minimal height difference between him and the goblin, the blade easily located the neck of the goblin.

Nonetheless, the goblin was fast enough to react and block with its hands.

Yet, it failed miserably, as the blade cleaved its hands first and then left a sharp wound on its neck that made breathing difficult.

The goblin fell, struggling, but Floki utilised the opportunity to land the final hit and decapitated it.
