10x Cashback: Your Wealth Is Mine-Chapter 88 [Rivalry Detected]
88 [Rivalry Detected]
[Stamp obtained successfully!]
I kept up the grin on my face as I drove home.
I'd left Elsa at her office. After that… intense physical activity, she'd wanted to get more work in. Apparently, her creative juices were flowing, if you get what I mean.
That woman was a workaholic. Both in business and in bed.
My grin somehow grew wider as the memories returned to the forefront of my mind.
I finally got to the apartment and after parking, went up to my penthouse. I made my way to the kitchen's island where my laptop was waiting. I'd kept up the tradition of doing important work in the kitchen even in this new house.
I booted up the laptop and checked my email. What I was waiting for hadn't arrived. They'd assured me they'd get it done by today.
I sighed. Maybe they hadn't finished up with it. Just in case, I'll wait.
In the meantime, I decided to check my status and see where I stand.
The blue screen appeared in front of me with the details.
[Status Screen]
[Name: Nicholas Voss]
[Cashback Rate: 10x (Base Rate)]
[Stamps collected: 3/99]
[Assets: $3.520 billion]
[Liquidity: $197 million]
[Liabilities: N/A]
[Net Worth: $3.7 billion]
[Total Cashback earned: $3.570 billion]
[Pending Cashback: 1 (Elsa Klarsson)]
According to the public, I was worth $3.5 billion but as can be seen from the screen, my true valuation was $3.7 billion, counting Cooper Real Estate, Mila Devon's cosmetic brand and the amount currently sitting in my bank account.
Coupled with the debt I'd incurred when I stamped Quinn Adams, I had invested into a top notch analyst team to prepare comprehensive reports on each stamp holder so I don't find myself in the same trouble as last time.
Prevention is much better than cure.
I left the laptop and fixed myself dinner. While I was eating, my laptop dinged with a notification.
I checked and a smile grew on my face. It was finally here. The confidential report on Elsa Klarsson.
I opened the email and my eyes skipped over the words to get to what I was looking for.
Estimated Net Worth: Approximately $2 billion
I sighed in relief. This was even bigger than I'd been expecting. Most news sources had pegged her at $1 billion.
"Wait a minute." I frowned. Let's see the actual analysis behind the valuation.
My eyes went through the email, tagging the relevant details.
Her primary source of wealth was her equity in WireFrame Solutions and she had other investments in real estate, venture capital and private equity funds.
I went up to the detailed breakdown of the analysis.
She owned a 47 % stake in WireFrame Solutions and as the company was currently valued at $4 billion, this made the value of her stake $1.880 billion.
My eyes went down to the other investments. WireFrame Solutions really contained the majority of her wealth.
Included was her apartment in this very building, valued at $25 million. She also had other investment properties across Europe valued at $30 million. She was also involved in a few early stage tech startups estimated at $10 million.
Impressive.
I continued, tilting my head as I saw that her cash reserves were approximately $20 million. That seemed… small.
Or maybe I was just spoiled by the system. But even I considered my liquidity to be a little small. Billionaires should have more than $197 million in their bank accounts shouldn't they? Or maybe not. Maybe this was another thing the rest of the world thinks the rich are like.
Wang himself had been worth seven billion when he'd taken out a loan for a private jet just for some tax benefits. Maybe the rich were the miserly bunch.
I continued with the report. Apparently, my analysts were able to estimate her liquidity based on company filings and public records.
I scrolled down to the section about her debts. She had none. Thank the heavens. WireFrame Solutions' consistent profitability was enough to give her a steady income.
And according to this email, her estimated dividends from the company was approximately $50 million.
There'd been a lot of approximates in this report but I had to trust my analysts.
It was time to claim my reward. I quickly made my way to the bathroom and clicked Yes without hesitation.

Now, everything was in the hands of the system. It was a gift from heaven and now, I had to know. Will it follow my desires or follow some rule I don't know about? Was my rewards fixed or could they be influenced?
A migraine appeared in my head and I groaned in pain. Just like last time, I didn't feel any dizziness.
After a minute, it went away and the screen changed.
[Assets calculated.]
[Liabilities calculated.]
[Debts calculated.]
[Net Worth: $2 billion.]
I fist pumped. "Fuck yeah!"
[Reward: $20 billion.]
I quickly turned my eyes back to the system. This was where I'd find out if my hunch was right.
The system blinked and another message took its place.
[Notice: A rivalry with billionaire Wang Tae Bin has been detected. His company, Walk Shop, is currently facing a crisis. Would you like to purchase it using a portion of your reward?]
[Yes/No.]
I breathed a sigh of relief. My hunch was true! The system really did act on my desires!
I'd noticed when I'd stamped Alyssa Gyokares. The system had noticed that I wanted my debt to be cleared as soon as possible and had brought the option for me to do so. Now, it was bringing me the option to buy Walk Shop.
I had no idea if Wang's investors truly wanted to sell but this had confirmed another theory of mine. The system was powerful enough to influence people to get the result it desired.
This meant that Quinn's blow up at the scandal involving her brother had to be a work of the system.
I sighed and clicked yes on the prompt.
[Processing…]
[Purchase made. Walk Shop acquired for $15 billion.]
[Recalculating reward…]
[Reward: $20 billion.]
I grinned at the screen. My reward was still twenty billion but I'd spent three fourths to acquire Walk Shop. Now, I had an in to the tech market and the battle I'd been fighting was finally over.
I'd won.
