Three hours.

It took three hours for everyone to start hoping, and praying that it wasn’t something serious for the surgery to take much time.

They were all worried,but none of them were able to make it known to anyone that they were barely holding it in.

They tried.

But it wasn’t the same for Isabella and Avery,they were not just good at masking their emotions.Especially when it has to do with Hazel in this critical moment.

Zaiden.

Well he too wasn’t taking it too well, but he tried to keep calm and not let his emotions get the best of him.

Oh! How he tried to keep the positivity on and not let the negativity from eating him up,Hazel isn’t going to die, that was a promise from her,and he had to hold onto that.

But he tried,everyone knew that, but it was taking more than enough hours and no one, not even the first nurse that had come out of the operating room could give them any explanation of what’s going on there.

The second nurse that came out did the same,and he didn’t need anyone ...no..they all didn’t need anyone to tell that something was wrong because they weren’t smiling either.

The third to come out wasn’t all that lucky to leave unharmed, because Maiden’s patience had died right at that moment of seeing her bloodied hand.

Hazel’s blood.

It took something in him,and before anyone could say jack Robinson,he had pinned the nurse against the wall with his hand wrapped around her throat.

"Is she alive?Tell m!!"He yelled,right at her face as the gasp from everyone didn’t go unnoticed by him.

Anyone can tell that he had gone crazy,yes he had gone crazy because of Hazel but this was just the beginning of what he’s going to do if Hazel doesn’t make it out of there alive.

"Son,let her go"Ezekiel rushed up,trying to pry his hands away from the nurse’s throats.For the love of God,he was killing her and there’s no way she could actually tell them about what’s happening if he’s choking her to death.

But the point was that they weren’t planning on telling anyone of them what’s happening,if they wanted to let the family know what’s happening the first nurse to have walked out could have done that.

"She’s not planning on telling us shits! I will get my answer myself"He disagreed with his father’s request and that resulted in Nathan interfering.

Zaiden was really going to choke that nursery to death if she doesn’t speak up,they don’t actually know what he’s capable of doing,how far he’s willing to go for Hazel and right now they are making him prove it.

"Let her go first,she’s going to speak up"Nathan asked of him, holding his hands away but it was at this moment that they witnessed how strong Zaiden was.

"My baby"Isabella cried,as Antonio hugged her, hiding her face in his chest while Sunny did the same too in Ethan’s chest who was also crying.

This was the first time he had ever shed tears that weren’t years of joy,and the situation right now wasn’t helping either.

He was more agitated over the fact that he didn’t spend enough time with his sister. It had all been a battle, trying to let her know that he had good intentions while running into her everyday.

But she thought of him as nothing,but a stalker.Right now,this stalker was here in the hospital crying and hoping that she would make it out alive.

"Zaiden stop it already,you are going to end up going to jail for murder and you won’t be able to see Hazel of this ends!"

Avery yelled,after trying to hold everything in but the shouting and pleading for Zaiden to let go of the nurses was messing with her already messed up brain that it was suffocating for her.

That seemed to do the work because he let go of the nurse,who bolted off while clutching her heck and coughing for air.

It was as if he knew that that was going to happen to him,that he would end up in prison for overthinking everything and he wouldn’t be able to see his woman again.

"What has gotten over you?!"Grandpa roared in anger,he was causing a scene all for nothing when it had not been proved that something was wrong.

He knew that Zaiden can be something else when he’s angry,but this? He has gone insane...Zaiden has gone mad all because of Hazel.

Avery went up and engulfed him in a hug because she knew what he was passing through. It was hard for him to breathe because with every second that passed without him knowing about her status made him feel like he’s losing it.

"I’m sorry mom..I just can’t seem to help it..I’m..’’He stuttered,the tears rolling down his face as she stroked his back while wetting his shirt with her tears.

Sophia felt bad watching her this way,she wasn’t on the best terms with Avery.But this was not what a mother would wish for her own child.

She wouldn’t want the same to happen to Nathan either,and if eventually he was in Hazel’s place.She’s not sure she’s going to be in her right mind just like Zaiden.

Hazel is a sweet girl, and she too had gotten to know that she was one lovely lady who didn’t deserve this at all so she could only help but pray that this ends.

It was so painful watching everyone this way,for the first time in her life she felt bad watching people in pains.When all her life she has been nothing but the one to bring the pain but it was totally different right now.

"I know son.it’s okay"Avery cooed,trying to calm Zaiden down before he had a heart attack even before he saw Hazel.

"It’s hard..I can’t help it mom,she’s in there fighting for her while i do nothing to help her.I feel so useless"He cried.

"No...you are not useless,she will be proud that you are hanging on and waiting for her baby, everyone is waiting for Hazel baby,you have to be strong for her"Avery said,and Zaiden wanted to say further but the door got open and out walked Doctor Sam.

Finally,after three hours and thirty more minutes of him doing god knows what inside there with his girl,he won’t be stupid to tell him any bad news if he treasures his life.

"How’s my baby?"Isabella was the first to approach him,as Antonio drew her back abit from pushing the docketr due to her swiftness.

"She’s okay right?"Ethan and Nathan asked in unison.

There was a brief silence,a silence that held meaning to what doctor Sam was about to say.

"How’s she doing?’’Zaiden asked, moving behind everyone to stand Infront of the doctor, as the security team of the hospital chooses these moments to appear.

It was as if they knew what was about to happen, because the Knights and the Sinclair family’s weren’t ready to hear any bad news.Not at all.

He was taking much time,putting everyone in tension but Zaiden tugged at his clothes to draw him nearer.

"What the fuck have you done with my girl?!"He yelled at him,as he looked right into the face of Zaiden to tell him what’s up.

It was like a ticking time bomb, while waiting for the news.None of them where waiting for any bad news,if anything doctor sam knew that there’s a high chance of him not surviving after this.

But he had to let the truth out of the back,this was not his first time doing this but he felt bad this time around because the expectation of every single one of them, surpassed his heart as a doctor right now.

"I..."He started.

"Tell me!!’’Zaiden felt like snapping his neck,but he remembered he was still the doctor who was incharge of Hazel.

Now,putting aside the pity, he spoke up while playing a dangerous game with his life on the line.

What would it be?

Will he live or die?
