A Dragon against the Whole World-Chapter 109 - 108: The Key to Victory
Under the vast and profound night, the fierce battle between the Mixed-blood Dragon and the Diamond Giant finally drew to a close.
When the battle ended.
Tense nerves and muscles slightly relaxed, and the excited mind and body gradually returned to normal.
What followed was a tide of exhaustion and pain.
Galos touched his head.
One of his horns broke, twisting his neck to survey around, he saw his broken Dragon horn plunged into the arm of the Diamond Giant, deeply embedded, with dense cracks spreading from the point of impact.
He stretched his body leisurely.
The pain inside and outside made Galos grimace.
The Dragon Fall Strike that exceeded the limit killed the Diamond Giant but left Galos significantly injured.
He felt at least three of his ribs were broken.
Dragon Blood flowed out from the wounds on his body, forming a pool on the ground.
This state was only a step away from being severely injured.
Almost reached Galos’ limit.
This battle with the Diamond Giant was indeed perilous and difficult.
The Diamond Giant’s overall standard was actually higher than that of Galos.
It stood on the earth, relying on its powerful defense and regenerative recovery, able to ignore most of Galos’ attacks, while its attacks could break Galos’ scale armor defense, causing effective damage to Galos.
But in the end, Galos still won.
Distracting the Diamond Giant, engaging in a grueling fight in a normal state, feigning weakness to make it lower its guard, the Clan Legion then arrived to attack the camp and divert its attention, finally revealing the trump card to deliver the ultimate strike to the Diamond Giant.
"I won through the first move, won through preparation, and won through careful planning."
Galos reflecting on this battle, silently thought.
If the Diamond Giant had been prepared, then perhaps the result of this battle would be completely different.
As powerful as the Diamond Giant, with a higher life level, stronger hard power, yet due to neglect and glaring flaws, was instead killed by Galos.
This made Galos deeply aware.
Wait until he becomes stronger, but until he can sweep everything with absolute power, he should be more cautious, not letting arrogance and conceit dominate him.
Especially when confirming to take risks, it requires deep consideration, not rushing into action in a moment of heated impulse.
Strength is the key to determining victory, but not the only factor.
This Diamond Giant is the cautionary example.
Just because it was slightly slow to react, it became the victim of Galos’s premeditated attack, with clearly superior strength, yet it fell into the mire, being led step by step, and ultimately faced death with full unwillingness.
"The risk posed by the Stone Giant has been resolved."
"I can finally live peacefully again."
"I hope in the coming days there will be fewer upheavals and let me develop in peace."
The development of the territory has entered a normal track. Galos hoped for not too many unexpected events.
Collecting his thoughts, Galos’s gaze once again swept over the now fragmented body of the Diamond Giant.
With its death, and the diamond crystal core being excavated, its once dazzling body became ordinary, but those shattered stones still revealed a diamond-like luster, not ordinary diamonds, but Magic Diamonds with a certain magic energy flowing through. 𝚏𝕣𝐞𝗲𝐰𝕖𝐛𝐧𝕠𝕧𝚎𝚕.𝐜𝚘𝗺
The remnants of the Diamond Giant’s body are a considerable fortune.
Used for trading, it can exchange for a large amount of black oil or other resources for Galos, or directly consume it, diamonds like these are beneficial for the development of Galos’ claws, scale armor, and bones, able to enhance a certain degree of hardness, sharpness, and magic resistance.
The only issue was.
To combat the inherent hoarders’ nature of the Dragon Race.
"Eating a little every day can both promote development and train my resistance to the allure of treasure."
Galos thought, casually picking up a fist-sized Magic Diamond, then taking a few deep breaths, strongly resisting the difficult-to-part-with feeling, he consumed it.
He then picked up the second one.
Placing the second piece in his mouth, he was reluctant to swallow, as if every cell in his body was resisting, Galos felt extremely unwilling.
But he ultimately steeled his resolve and consumed the second piece as well.
When attempting the third piece, Galos engaged in a fierce battle with his inner desires, his facial muscles twitching, his body trembling, yet he continued to struggle.
However, this already showed some progress.
Previously, Galos never managed to continuously eat two Magic Gems, now progressing to the third piece.
"Someday, I can eat all the treasures without changing my expression."
Galos thought.
The Diamond Giant’s body fragments were many, difficult to tidy up, so he decided not to bother for now, and only kept the most precious diamond crystal core close to him, soaring into the sky heading back to the Stone Giant Camp.
The battle at the Giant Camp was not completely over.
Led by the Gorging Demon Kalu, Galos’s Clan Legion was still besieging the Rock Giants.
A few Mages cast enhancement spells on Kalu, and the Bloodtooth Commander also boosted Kalu with his battle aura, now the Gorging Demon Kalu was fighting the Granite Giant head-on, not falling behind at all.
Its legs and arms were immensely weighty.
Landing strikes on the taller and sturdier Granite Giant, causing debris to fly, with dust falling.
Boom!
The Granite Giant punched the Gorging Demon, sending it flying backward.
But before it could support other giants, the Gorging Demon stabilized its body.
Its foot shattered the ground, its body swiftly charged like a cannonball, recklessly crashing into the Granite Giant’s chest.
With a dull thud.
The Granite Giant’s chest armor shattered into a web-like pattern, shards exploding backward like shrapnel.
Its large and sturdy frame staggered back, with lines of anger on its face, lifting its arm to strike at the Gorging Demon Kalu.
The Gorging Demon was undaunted, clashing head-on with the Granite Giant, flesh against stone fists, constantly creating loud thudding sounds.
"Taste my Super Demon Fist!"
Kalu suddenly stepped back, raised his massive fist, and roared gruffly.
Upon hearing this, the Granite Giant showed a wary expression, closely eyeing the Gorging Demon’s fist.
The next second.
Kalu threw his punch, and the Granite Giant simultaneously swung to meet it.
When they collided, the Granite Giant was baffled.
This punch from the Gorging Demon seemed to have no special qualities, resembling the previous in force.
Meanwhile, Kalu opened his bloodthirsty mouth, with rich energy already brewing and accumulating within.
"Despicable!"
The Granite Giant’s pupils shrank.
Boom!
Kalu spat out a murky energy ball, extremely fast, hitting the Granite Giant’s chest at close range, blasting it away, heavily crashing to the ground.
Before the Granite Giant could struggle and rise.
Kalu’s solid body leaped, landing atop it, raising his fists for a storm-like barrage, making the Granite Giant unable to rise, its body covered in collapses and cracks.
