A Former Police Officer Who Died And Get A Second Life!-Chapter 153: An Unexpected Visit
"Isn’t it amazing?" Qiong Xing said with a cheerful smile. "If you want, you can touch it."
Elias who had been supporting Qiong Xing gently helped him down.
Qiong Xing then waved Naz over with a small gesture.
Naz looked around nervously at first, but he slowly walked closer.
"I was surprised that the human body could swell this much," Qiong Xing said while gently touching his stomach. "But when I think about the new life growing inside here, it feels even more amazing."
"Wow... it’s so firm," Naz said in wonder.
Qiong Xing’s stomach was stretched so much that it almost looked like it might burst if someone poked it with a needle.
Naz carefully touched it and looked truly amazed.
"Are you actually a woman?" Duzy suddenly asked.
"Hahaha, no," Qiong Xing laughed. "I’m a man through and through. There are just... a lot of special circumstances."
Qiong Xing briefly explained about Elias and the others being his mates.
Naz seemed extremely shocked at first, but eventually he nodded as if he understood.
"That’s... incredible," Naz said. "Th-this is the first time I’ve ever touched a pregnant person’s belly. It feels... kind of moving."
"You really know how to surprise people," Duzy muttered. "I never thought you’d end up having a kid."
"Sorry for causing such a fuss," Qiong Xing said politely. "I meant to come earlier, but because of the morning sickness and various troubles, it took me longer to visit."
When Qiong Xing apologized for coming late, Naz shook his head so quickly that it looked like it might fall off.
"Don’t worry about that at all," Naz said with a smile. "I’m just really happy that you came to tell us."
"I don’t know yet if the baby is a boy or a girl," Qiong Xing said. "But when the baby is born, please hold them."
"Huh!? M-me? Is that really okay?" Naz asked in shock.
"I want my friend Naz to do it," Qiong Xing said warmly. "And of course, I’d like you to as well, Mr. Duzy."
"Yeah, sure," Duzy replied. "But don’t push yourself too hard. And you—" he added while looking at Elias. "If you’re going to be a father, then make sure you keep a close eye on this guy."
Elias looked slightly surprised when Duzy turned to him, but he nodded awkwardly.
"Why does everyone treat me like a child?" Qiong Xing complained.
For some reason, every person they met kept telling someone to keep an eye on him as if he couldn’t be trusted alone.
Even though he was an adult.
Qiong Xing puffed out his cheeks in annoyance and Duzy laughed before lightly knocking him on the head.
"That’s because nobody knows what kind of trouble you might cause," Duzy said. "Since we can’t stop you, it’s better if someone stays next to you and keeps watch."
"That’s the result of your usual behavior," Elias added.
Even Elias nodded along in agreement, but the person being talked about could not accept it so easily.
Even though he understood that something that seemed small to him might be viewed very differently by others, the situation still felt complicated.
"If that’s the case, then Naz is the same, isn’t he?" Qiong Xing protested. "Why am I the only one being treated like this—"
"Qiong Xing! Are you okay!?"
"Hm?"
"Huh?"
"What?"
"...What was that?"
A loud shout suddenly came from the direction of the entrance.
It was loud enough that it might have been heard even by the neighbors.
Everyone immediately tensed and turned their attention toward the sound.
That voice sounded strangely familiar...
"Qiong Xing! Qiong Xing!"
"...Hey, do you know that guy?" Duzy asked Qiong Xing when they heard someone banging loudly on the door.
The sound of the door being struck repeatedly made Qiong Xing feel a very bad feeling in his chest.
Because of that, he hesitated before answering.
"Isn’t that the Vice-Guild Master?" Elias said.
With his sharp hearing, Elias had recognized the voice right away.
He looked at Qiong Xing as if asking what they should do.
Why did he come all the way here...?
Qiong Xing realized that escaping in this situation would be difficult, so he gave up with a sigh and walked toward the entrance.
"Please stop shouting so loudly," Qiong Xing said. "You’re disturbing the neighbors."
"Qiong Xing!!—Whoa!"
The moment the man saw him, he tried to jump forward and hug him.
However, Qiong Xing instinctively stepped aside and the man ended up diving face-first onto the ground.
While rubbing his aching face, the man tried to stand up, so Qiong Xing offered him a hand.
"Please don’t shout like that," Qiong Xing said. "It echoes in my stomach. And what exactly is going on?"
Qiong Xing was annoyed.
That loud shouting had caused trouble for Naz and Duzy.
Perhaps realizing he had gone too far, the man quickly apologized.
"S-Sorry," Sarin said. "Someone told me they saw you enter this brewery. Since you’re pregnant, drinking alcohol would be bad, right? So I thought I had to hurry up to come here and stop you."
Qiong Xing already knew that much.
More importantly, he couldn’t drink alcohol at all to begin with.
He felt bad that Naz and Duzy had been disturbed, but since the man had acted out of concern for him, Qiong Xing found that he couldn’t really scold him any further.
After hearing the full explanation, the misunderstanding was cleared up.
Sarin lowered his head deeply to Naz and Duzy and apologized sincerely for causing trouble.
Qiong Xing also apologized alongside him.
They both apologized, but...
"Calling out loudly in front of someone else’s house without even confirming the situation first... I’m sure Katarina would be angry about that," Qiong Xing said.
"Y-You’re right," Sarin replied nervously. "I’m really sorry. I just thought I had to help you quickly..."
"And because of that, you shouted and started banging loudly on the door? Don’t you think that was far too hasty? Even I know that drinking alcohol is bad while being a parent."
