Chapter 133: Chapter 133: Beanie Looks Just Like the President

Jasper Ford went to the bathroom to wash his hands. He had no intention of helping. Instead, he pulled Beanie aside and asked, "Where are you sleeping tonight?"

"That room." Beanie pointed to the master bedroom.

Jasper Ford: "Take me in for a look?"

"No!" Vivian Quincy quickly interjected.

Jasper Ford said coldly, "I’m talking to Beanie. When did it become your turn to interrupt?"

The girl’s cheeks flushed. ’Jasper is so unreasonable!’

’Beanie’s room is my room too, okay?!’

Vivian Quincy said, "In any case, you can’t go in, and that’s final."

Beanie, remembering that his mommy’s private things were in the room, also refused. "Mr. Ford, how about I give you a tour of the guest room instead?"

The guest room was Anna’s temporary lodging. There wasn’t much inside; it was mostly empty.

Anna didn’t mind, so Beanie pulled Jasper Ford over to tour the guest room.

In the kitchen, Anna wiped down the stove while whispering to Vivian Quincy, who was washing dishes, "What’s with Jasper Ford? Normally, shouldn’t he go home after he’s eaten his fill?"

"I told you a long time ago he’s not a good person." Vivian Quincy was determined to get Jasper Ford to leave.

Anna said, "He’s not planning on staying the night, is he?"

Those words terrified Vivian Quincy! A shiver ran down her spine, and she warned Anna, "Don’t jinx it! You can’t just say things like that!"

"From the looks of it, he doesn’t seem like he has any intention of leaving." Anna was a sharp judge of character. Right now, Jasper Ford was the spitting image of Zachary Thornton, who would linger at her house, making small talk with her parents!

That type of person has a way of winning over someone in your family before you even notice. Just like Jasper Ford is doing now, trying every trick to get on Beanie’s good side. When Vivian tries to kick him out later, he’ll probably use Beanie as an excuse to stay. Anna had seen it all before.

Vivian Quincy was frightened by Anna’s words and immediately started trying to think of a way to make Jasper Ford leave.

Jasper Ford’s face darkened. He retorted, "And what if I don’t leave?"

Vivian Quincy’s breathing suddenly became ragged.

Jasper Ford let out a low chuckle, then turned back and tapped Beanie gently on the forehead. "Be a good boy and go to sleep. Come play at my company tomorrow."

Beanie was mesmerized by the gentle voice and blinked his beautiful, big eyes.

Jasper Ford: "I’ll have tasty things prepared for you, the kind you can eat as much as you want."

"Okay!" the little guy immediately agreed.

Jasper Ford shot Vivian Quincy a meaningful glance and reminded her, "Remember to bring the child."

Then, he turned and left.

Vivian Quincy quickly shut the door. Only after confirming Jasper Ford was long gone did she say, "Beanie Quincy!"

"Mommy..." Beanie called out in a soft, sweet voice. He hung his head and pointed at the large pot of leftover crayfish, whispering, "Mommy seemed to be enjoying it a lot just now."

Vivian Quincy’s mouth twitched. The lecture she had prepared was suddenly stuck in her throat because of Beanie’s words.

Gently poking Beanie on the forehead with her index finger, Vivian Quincy said, "Next time you’re hungry, wake me up. Don’t go bothering other people so late at night. What if you run into a bad person?"

"Beanie understands," Beanie nodded obediently.

Vivian Quincy: "If you understand, why did you still open the door for someone else?"

"It’s because Mr. Ford threatened me. I had no choice," Beanie said, looking aggrieved. His lie sounded just like the truth.

Vivian Quincy pinched his chubby little cheek. "You little smooth-talker. I have no idea what Jasper Ford likes about you! To think he’d actually go out of his way to buy food and bring it to you this late at night."

She clearly remembered that Wanda Quincy brought delicious homemade food to the company almost every day, but Jasper Ford wouldn’t even spare her a glance, let alone personally seek someone out late at night.

Vivian Quincy had never seen Jasper Ford go out to find anyone in the middle of the night!

’For Beanie to have gotten this far with him is pretty impressive.’

When Beanie heard Vivian Quincy’s words, his beautiful big eyes clearly flickered. "Mommy, do you really think Mr. Ford likes me?"

"You can’t feel it?" Vivian Quincy asked, surprised. 𝒻𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝘯𝘰𝑣ℯ𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝘮

Beanie shook his head. "No."

Vivian Quincy said, "I think he likes you a lot."

"Then why doesn’t Daddy like me?" the little guy couldn’t help but ask back.

Vivian Quincy’s gaze suddenly grew complicated. After a long moment of contemplation, she sighed. "Good boy, go to sleep."

"Oh, okay." Beanie didn’t press the issue. He knew Vivian Quincy didn’t want to answer his question.

The name Jeremy King really made Beanie uncomfortable.

Beanie was a boy with pride. Since Jeremy King didn’t like him, then he would just sever their father-son relationship!

The joy and anticipation he once felt were all gone. Beanie’s hopes were shattered, but he wasn’t discouraged. Without a scumbag daddy, he could help his mommy find a better man.

’That Mr. Kaye... although he protects Mommy a lot of the time, he’s not very nice to me. Beanie could sense that Hayden Kaye’s gaze towards him was a bit cold.’

’Mr. Ford is pretty nice to me, and he likes to buy me all sorts of toys and snacks, but he isn’t nice to Mommy. He often scolds Mommy at the company.’

’Mommy is a girl, a treasure who should be cherished and protected, not yelled at by people.’

’Mr. Kaye is a little better. For the sake of Mommy’s happiness, Beanie can reluctantly accept him. If he became my stepdad, even though it’s a bit of a raw deal for me, as long as Mommy can live a happy and fulfilling life, I’ll be at ease.’

Beanie lay obediently on the bed, his mind full of Jasper Ford and Hayden Kaye. He thought about it all night and finally came to a conclusion.

「The next day.」

Beanie went to work with Vivian Quincy as usual.

Jasper Ford was in meetings all day, so Beanie wandered around his office. When he got tired, he would flop onto the sofa and eat snacks.

The people in the secretarial department discussed Beanie all morning, speculating about his true identity. Some said he was the young master of the Ford Family. Others thought he was a child from a branch of the Ford Family. Still others claimed he was Madam Ford’s youngest son, Jasper Ford’s own brother...

All sorts of wild guesses, and not a single one was right.

Vivian Quincy listened to the chatter all morning, feeling a whirlwind of emotions. She even found it a bit funny. She really wanted to tell everyone to stop guessing; Beanie wasn’t the Ford family’s young master, much less some pampered little prince. He was her precious son.

But...

Seeing how happily everyone was gossiping, Vivian Quincy couldn’t be bothered to explain.

Aside from Jasper Ford, Caden Chandler was the only one who knew about Beanie and Vivian Quincy’s relationship. He also found the speculations outside hilarious, but he didn’t say anything. Instead, he listened intently, because Caden realized that many of the things people were saying were based on some evidence.

For example, the reason they guessed Beanie was a Ford family child and definitely related to Jasper Ford was that they noticed Beanie’s eyes and brows were incredibly similar to Jasper’s.

Someone skilled in graphic design even drew the outlines of Jasper Ford’s and Beanie’s facial features to compare them. Looking at it that way, they really did seem to be cast from the same mold!

Over time, Caden Chandler started to have the same thought.

Finally, one day, Caden Chandler couldn’t hold back anymore. He went to ask Vivian Quincy, "How does your son look so much like the President? Don’t tell me you and the President knew each other a long time ago?"

Vivian Quincy said, "How is that possible?"

"I’m just guessing. Tell me honestly, who is Beanie’s biological father?" Caden Chandler couldn’t help but press.

Vivian Quincy said, "Why are you asking that?"

Caden Chandler: "I think he looks exactly like the President."
