A Madman in Love-Chapter 57
"You didn’t check out?"
Suin blinked, utterly confused.
Yesterday, she had specifically left Jaehee at the front desk to check out while she moved the car from the parking lot to the hotel entrance. She even remembered loading the luggage into the car after he walked out with his suitcase.
“What were you doing while I went to get the car?”
“Waiting for Lee Suin.”
He responded with maddening nonchalance.
“Hurry up and get out.”
With shameless confidence, Jaehee pulled her out of the car. Suin, knowing it was futile to argue in broad daylight in a hotel parking lot with a man of his social stature, reluctantly complied.
And, as if to prove his point, it took him only a few moments to demonstrate that he wasn’t bluffing.
Room 2304, a luxurious suite, was still under his name.
Beep—
The sound of the card key unlocking the door was accompanied by Jaehee’s calm demeanor as he opened the room. Behind him, Suin let out an incredulous chuckle.
“This is unbelievable.”
Not wanting to bump into any other hotel guests in the hallway, she stepped inside but stopped just past the entrance, refusing to go any further.
She crossed her arms, making her stance clear. She had no intention of engaging in anything inappropriate during working hours.
“When were you planning on checking out?”
“Not planning to.”
“You’re keeping the room?”
“Yup.”
Jaehee, already halfway into the living room, turned to look at her. His eyes were filled with a possessiveness so intense that even his claim over a hotel room seemed obsessive.
“Why?”
“To have a place ready anytime. Efficiency is key when we need to do things every day.”
It was obvious what kind of “things” he meant.
Suin rolled her eyes and scoffed.
Sure, efficiency. How much was the nightly rate for this suite? It probably meant nothing to him, but for her, it was an unfathomable expense.
Annoyed, she clicked her tongue and shot him a sharp glare.
Seeing her irritation, Jaehee approached her.
“It’s also necessary for emergencies.”
“What kind of emergencies?”
Suin asked, her tone dripping with sarcasm.
“Like... if we keep slacking off during work hours and sneaking into hotels like this, it’s only a matter of time before Hyesung Group kicks you out,” she taunted.

“Because of you, Lee Suin,” Jaehee snapped, his voice low and seething.
His eyes darkened, and his breath came out harsh and uneven, as if his anger had reached its boiling point.
“You shouldn’t have driven me crazy in the first place.”
Ah.
She regretted it instantly. She had poked the proverbial lion in the nose.
Determined not to be dragged down by him, Suin crossed her arms more tightly, digging her heels in.
“Don’t you dare use those photos with Baek Ihyeon as an excuse.”
She raised her chin defiantly.
“If you hadn’t silenced me, I could’ve explained everything perfectly in the car. I didn’t stay quiet out of guilt; I stayed quiet because I didn’t want you ramming the car into a guardrail.”
“You must really want to get rammed into something, Lee Suin, judging by how you’re provoking me,” Jaehee growled through gritted teeth.
Suin’s eyes flashed as she countered his crude remark.
“That’s absurd. Why would you even misunderstand something so childish? How could you take such an immature post seriously?”
“Because I’m immature.”
Jaehee’s lips twisted into a crooked smirk. For a moment, the smile could’ve been mistaken for affection, but the cold, predatory gleam in his gray eyes shattered the illusion.
It was unsettling, to say the least.
“Seo Jaehee.”
Suin shifted her strategy.
“This is a ridiculous fabrication.”
Rather than confront him head-on, she realized it was time to appease the beast before her. He was volatile, and she couldn’t afford to let things spiral out of control.
“Do you really think I’d sleep with you and still have the energy to maintain a romantic relationship with someone else? You know me better than that.”
“Don’t use the word relationship. I almost choked you just now,” Jaehee said, his tone dangerously calm.
“Close call, huh?”
“Yeah, very.”
“Alright, I’ll be careful and explain everything step by step.”
Suin took a deep breath, trying to maintain her composure. She couldn’t risk further provoking him.
“That photo was taken yesterday morning. You know I met with Baek Ihyeon.”
“I gave you permission, but I didn’t expect anything ‘fishy’ to happen.”
“Nothing fishy happened. It was strictly business. His department is organizing an event, and my mother’s café is involved in a related contract. That’s all we talked about.”
“So it was a work-related conversation?”
"Baek Ihyeon is just a senior and a colleague to me. I’ve always kept a proper distance."
"His eyes didn’t seem to think so."
"Do I have to take responsibility for someone else’s feelings? I can’t control how they feel."
"You must’ve given him some room."
"I swear I didn’t."
As Suin spoke, a realization hit her. She had never turned her gaze to anyone else.
Whether she’d been aware of it or not, her conscious and subconscious thoughts had always been occupied entirely by Seo Jaehee.
"You can’t swear that. Just look at the vibe in the photo—Baek Ihyeon is clearly infatuated with you."
Even as Suin refuted his accusations, Jaehee’s anger didn’t subside.
The misunderstanding, relentless even after the countless times they’d been intimate the day before, left Suin feeling both wronged and hurt.
"Are you so sly that you don’t even realize you’re enchanting men?"
"Sly?"
Suin looked up at him, her eyes flashing with indignation. Suddenly, she grabbed his tie and yanked it hard, forcing his face down close to hers.
With a sharp tug, his face was inches from hers.
"If anything, I’m the one who’s not sly enough, constantly being swept along by you, Seo Jaehee."
Her voice was steady, unwavering.
"My feelings, my body—everything."
"..."
Jaehee said nothing.
The anger in his eyes hadn’t faded, but now there was a flicker of something else—something deeper.
"If you don’t believe me, I’ll prove it to you."
With those words, Suin turned abruptly, still clutching his tie. The startled Jaehee stumbled as she dragged him toward the bedroom.
When they reached the bed, she pushed him onto it without hesitation.
Thud.
Looking down at his wide, dark gray eyes, Suin shed her suit jacket and tossed it aside.
Then, without pause, she climbed onto his abdomen, straddling him.
Her skirt rode up, exposing her pale thighs completely, but she didn’t have time to feel embarrassed.
Beneath her, Jaehee’s firm, muscular stomach tensed and relaxed as he breathed. Despite his strength and stability, the bewilderment in his expression was evident.
"Lee Suin."
"Shut up and strip," Suin snapped, gripping the lapels of his suit jacket.
"Rough, aren’t we?"
He tilted his shoulders slightly, feigning the fragility of someone delicate, but the faint amusement in his voice betrayed his enjoyment.
The suit jacket didn’t last long—it was swiftly discarded across the room.
As Suin moved to his tie, his upper body suddenly rose.
"You’re truly unpredictable," he murmured in a low, sultry voice, his hand reaching to grasp the nape of her neck.
His lips crashed against hers.
Suin didn’t stop. As their tongues intertwined, she finished pulling off his tie and threw it aside. Shirts and blouses quickly followed, discarded in their rush to strip each other.
Their movements were urgent, not because of time, but because of the intensity of their desire.
Everything about their actions was precise, a sharp embodiment of need.
"Hah, ah..."
Determined to back up her words with action, Suin’s hands were more daring than ever.
Her fingertips explored his well-defined chest, tracing the grooves of his muscles. Her palms slid over his skin with deliberate boldness, lingering on his prominent hip bones before slipping lower.
"You’re daring today, Lee Suin," Jaehee exhaled, his breath hot and uneven.
His dark eyes locked on hers, filled with a seductive intensity that made it hard to look away.
"Were you always this kind of woman?"
"I might be even more than that," Suin replied, lifting her chin with a feigned confidence.
Amused, Jaehee’s lips curved into a grin before he unzipped his trousers and guided her hand to him.
"Ah..."
As soon as her hand touched him, the overwhelming heat and weight made her instinctively flinch.
It pulsed against her fingers, almost alive, and she hesitated, her fingers curling slightly.
"Is your resolve already wavering? I’ve been waiting for this," Jaehee teased, his voice dripping with a provocative edge.
"This thing is enough to make anyone hesitate. It’s not something you get used to easily," Suin shot back, her tone both defensive and challenging.
"Be gentle. Deep down, it’s innocent," he whispered, unfolding her fingers and guiding her to grip him properly.
Still holding his gaze, Suin muttered hoarsely, "What nonsense..."
But her hand tightened around him, and her lips quirked up in defiance.
"It’s anything but innocent—it’s a monster."
She emphasized her point by squeezing firmly, making his chest rise sharply.
"You’ve nearly killed me with this thing more times than I can count."
The simple motion of her hand moving along him elicited a deep, shuddering breath from Jaehee.
Suin didn’t stop, her strokes becoming more deliberate, more confident.
"Do you know what it feels like to teeter on the edge of life and death every time?"
His Adam’s apple bobbed visibly as he bit down on his lower lip, trying to stifle a groan. The sight was devastatingly sexy—the slight twitch of his lashes, the subtle quiver in his expression.
"Are you planning to hold my life in your hands again today?"
"Yes."
Satisfied with her answer, Jaehee’s wet lips curved into a wicked smile, dangerously seductive.
It was all the encouragement she needed to increase her pace.
"This is revenge."
