Chapter 254: THE COMPLETION OF THE BEAUTY BLOOD (3)

The completion of the beauty blood was marked by thunder and the changed of the wind. The cold night suddenly turned very cold and the sky all of sudden became very dark as dark clouds rolled and storm came.

The warriors there looked at each other, as they could feel the ominous feeling from something big that would happen.

On the other hand, Khaos actually felt it first before the storm was here. He felt this power that rolled inside his body, crept into his veins and now he was getting more and more restless.

The only question in his mind was Zuri. He still couldn’t fucking find her!

It was daunting to think what might happen to her. There was a high chance she wouldn’t make it.

However, the mate bond between them let Khaos knew that she was still alive or else he would feel it. Yet, no matter what, she must be in a lot of pain. She must be in agony as they forced the last curse on her.

And here he was, Khaos couldn’t find her anywhere in the Great Palace even with the help of the warriors. Khaos couldn’t help but let out his frustration by snarling viciously.

He rushed toward Declan and then grabbed his collar. He lifted him up from the ground and snarled to his face.

"Tell me, where is she?!" His voice so dark, even the warriors around the lycan could feel the rage that Khaos suppressed.

They could feel the wrath of the lycan and this was very terrifying. Not only that, Khaos was ready to kill them all since they failed their task to find Zuri right in time.

But, before Khaos killed Declan, since he deserved to die, the man confessed to him.

"She is in the Southern Palace, you can find her there."

"They had searched for her there!"

Declan shook his head. "No, she is with the magic user. They must have prevented from finding her, that’s why the warriors couldn’t find her." Declan coughed blood again, his healing ability still tried to snitch him back. "You need to go there on your own since some of magic didn’t affect the lykan, you need to go there now and retrieve the power from the Beauty Blood."

Khaos wanted to kill him, but this was not the right time, he was not going to make death easy on him, thus instead, he hurled Declan’s body across the hallway and then shifted into his beautiful white beasts to look for Zuri on his own.

Meanwhile, the other warriors went with him, though some of them stayed behind to keep their eyes on Declan.

The rest of the warriors followed behind the Lycan King, as they couldn’t outrun him.

What Declan said was right. The other warrior couldn’t see where to look for Zuri, but Chaos could find her almost right away. He should have looked in this area first.

But it was already too late. The magic user had stopped with the ritual, the beauty blood had completed and now Zuri’s body was lying on the ground. She was unconscious. Her face was covered with her long black hair.

Khaos immediately shifted back into his human form and then approached his mate. He lifted her body and then hugged her against his. Her body was still warm.

She was fine. She would be fine.

There was this small voice in his head that tried to reassure himself that Zuri survived the completion of the beauty blood.

In that case, from now on, everything would be fine. She had gone through the worse part. He wanted to believe that idea, though he knew there was something wrong with her.

Khaos kissed her forehead, telling her to wake up.

"It’s done. It’s done now... you are fine. Everything will be fine." Khaos caressed her cheek, he held her very carefully, as if he handled her wrongly, she would shatter in his arms.

For the first time in his life, he felt this strong fear. He was scared to know what actually happened to her.

The lycan was scared for his mate.

He clung to the fact that the mate bond was there.

Her body was still warm, she was still breathing, even though it was very shallow.

As long as she was alive, he would find a way to make it right.

But, when Zuri didn’t respond to him, Khaos snarled at the ten magic users there. These people were dead! It was only a matter of time.

"What have you done to her?!"

One of the magic users, the tallest one, stepped forward as he explained the situation.

"The beauty blood has been completed," he said. "We can finally achieve our dream. We can finally get our revenge."

Khaos was not in the mood to hear anything about revenge or whatnot. He only wanted to know what happened with Zuri.

"What. Happened. With. Her."

The words sounded like venom, as the lycan gritted his teeth. His body was trembling. His mate’s body against his was the only reason why he didn’t lash out and kill this magic user for wasting his time.

And then finally, the taller magic user told Khaos that right now Zuri was in coma. They had stopped time for her because she was poisoned.

"Break the magic. Wake her up."

The magic user shook his head, he actually looked apologetic. "If we wake her up, she is going to die from the poison. That’s why we can’t do that."

They poisoned his mate. Not only they put curse on her, but they poisoned her too! And now Zuri couldn’t wake up, unless they wanted her dead.

Zuri survived the beauty blood, she was strong enough to endure the pain and agony, but now they wanted to tell him that she was going to die because of poison?

"Get the cure."

"We can’t. It’s not us..."

And with that information, Khaos finally lost it. He put Zuri down.
