A Mate For The Last Lycan-Chapter 266: LET THE WORLD BURN
Chapter 266: LET THE WORLD BURN
Gayle didn’t even know what to say at this point.
"You did the opposite of what I had ordered you to do. You didn’t even listen to me as your king."
"Khaos..." Gayle was speechless. He himself followed his order, but he couldn’t say the same thing about the other. Bryden and Ezra clearly had crossed the line.
"Do you see me as your king?"
"Absolutely." Gayle didn’t even think when he answered.
"As your king, why do you think I have to listen to you?" Khaos’s expression was as cold and calm like a river in the winter. "I only want my mate. All the three Kingdoms could burn into flame for all I care. I couldn’t care less about it. Zuri can kill all of those warriors to her heart content. I don’t care as long as she is happy with that."
"You are crazy, Khaos." Gayle shook his head when he heard that confession. How could Khaos become very impulsive like this?
Khaos was very cruel and now Zuri could even have her killing spree, if she wished for that.
"If she wanted to burn this whole world, then I will help her. I will watch the whole world turned into ashes with her."
"Khaos!" Gayle growled at him. He was insane. The lycan had gone insane! "You can’t do something like that!"
"I can and I will, so you can either stay away from me or I can burn you along with those people."
For a moment, there was a heavy silence between them. Probably, Khaos could feel it, the shift in Gayle’s loyalty for him, yet he was too powerful for Gayle to do something against him. All of the warriors also knew about that.
The night went so quiet, as the pale moonlight shone above them, but when Khaos turned around and was about to leave, Gayle finally spoke, breaking the silence between them.
"You know that it’s not like her, right? You can feel it too. There is no way you can’t feel that. She is not Zuri. She is the manifestation of Devil." Khaos should have known it was not her. "The real Zuri wouldn’t do something like this without any remorse. Zuri will feel bad for hurting others intentionally, especially when she had to lose control over the voices in her head. She will never intentionally hurt someone else and feel not even an ounce of regret or even guilt for what she has done. You know it’s not her, right?"
Khaos stared at Gayle for a second longer and the gamma wished what he said reached him, but he was completely wrong.
"It’s her."
Gayle said nothing else, as he watched Khaos walked away. He balled his fists, didn’t know what else to do. He didn’t want this, but he didn’t think he could follow the lycan’s craziness. Someone should put stop in this.

After six months, Caiden finally couldn’t take it anymore. He decided to leave Blackthorne pack and shift into his beast to go to Three Deadly Ways.
He went straight to the Great Palace, not only because he needed the answer from Khaos, but also Mabel had gone crazy. It affected the twins and he couldn’t take it anymore.
Probably another reason aside from why Caidan wanted to meet with Chaos, it was because he wanted to escape from his family.
One day, Mabel would be calm enough, but the way she was being quiet, it was very disturbing and the twins could feel it. They kept asking about their father and every time they asked their mother, Mabel would go crazy.
She would start screaming, crying, and then trashing anything that she could reach. At this point Caiden kinda knew that the twins must have known that their father would never come back home, even though none of them said anything about it.
Thankfully, Nania was there, she helped with the twins, so they could cope up with the situation and also Rian was very helpful as well. The little boy was calm enough to comfort the twins.
And now, when Caidan reached the Great Palace, the first person that he saw Gayle. He entered the main hall and met with the gamma, who looked shocked to see him.
"What are you doing here?!" Gayle immediately rushed toward him.
"Where is chaos?" Caiden asked.
"You can’t be here." Gayle knew about the deal, about the order from Khaos to Caiden. That was why it took him six months before he finally came.
The waiting was too much for Caiden to handle, he couldn’t wait any longer.
"But you cannot be here. Khaos will not be happy to see you here."
Caiden simply glared at him. "Where is Chaos?" he asked in deep voice. He tried to track his scent, but he couldn’t find it. It almost felt like he had never lived here before.
But then Khaos’s scent was always very subtle, even before he got the power of the Lycan and now, once he had this power, his scent was completely gone. They couldn’t track him at all.
"Caiden, think twice about it. Go back to Blackburn pack and stay there until Khaos said otherwise. The situation is not very conducive here. You will only put your life in danger."
However, before Gayle could persuade Caidan to leave the Great Palace, his eyes widened. He stared at something behind Caidan, which made the latter turned around and found Khaos was standing ten steps away from them.
He didn’t feel him at all. He didn’t smell his scent. He didn’t feel his presence until he saw him. How could that be possible? Even before, it was not like that.
However, one thing that get Caiden’s attention the most was his eyes. His eyes were very red.
Caiden was stunned and when Khaos walked, it almost looked like he didn’t even touch the ground. Somehow, he felt this ominous feeling as if he was the prey in front of a very strong predator.
