A Night of Desire-Chapter 47: What Do You Know About This Clara Grant?
"Mom, if you and Dad also truly don’t want to sacrifice Miles, I do have an idea."
The moment Jenna Quinn finished speaking, Sienna Hale anxiously asked, "What is it?"
Although Theodore Quinn didn’t speak, he turned his head back to look at his wife and daughter, ready to listen carefully to what she had to say.
"An alliance with the Grant Family isn’t out of the question, but the marriage partner can’t be Chloe Grant."
Hearing Jenna Quinn’s words, Sienna Hale was completely baffled. She said, half-joking, "Not Chloe Grant? Then who could it be? Cedric Grant or Jean Jarvis?"
Jenna Quinn burst out laughing. "Cedric Grant and Jean Jarvis? In that case, would you be the one marrying them, or would it be Dad?"
Theodore Quinn had been hoping to hear something useful, but instead, he heard his daughter spouting nonsense. His face immediately darkened, and he let out a heavy cough as a warning.
Sienna Hale also chided her with a laugh, "Jenna, what nonsense are you talking about? Come on, stop keeping us in suspense and just tell us."
Jenna Quinn stifled her laughter and secretly stuck out her tongue before continuing, "You’ve forgotten, the Grant Family has more than one daughter. It’s not just Chloe Grant. There’s also Clara Grant, the daughter of Cedric Grant and his ex-wife, Skylar Hayes! I think she would be a perfect match for Seth."
Sienna Hale was stunned for a moment, then looked astonished. "Jenna, are you sure you’re not joking with me? Never mind that Cedric Grant and Skylar Hayes divorced over a year ago, but do you even know anything about this Clara Grant? And you want to match her with Seth! You yourself just said that the future wife of the Quinn Family Head must be chosen with the utmost care."
Jenna Quinn held nothing back, revealing everything she had done. She even gave a vivid description of what Cherie had told her about Seth Quinn and Clara Grant’s "close contact" at the hotel.
Finally, she added, "Mom, think about it. When she ran into that so-called ’scumbag,’ she took Cherie away to protect him from getting hurt and even gave him shelter. She would rather raise him herself than see an innocent child get hurt. This proves that Clara Grant is truly a kind person."
"Her current status might be a bit awkward, but like I said, the Quinn Family doesn’t need a bride with a prominent background or a wealthy maternal family for support. What’s important is a clean past and a virtuous character. In that regard, Clara Grant is a perfect fit."
"Most importantly, Seth likes her. Think about it. In all these years, when has Seth ever been so intimate with a woman? When has he ever let any woman get that close to him? Even with..."
At this, Jenna Quinn paused instinctively, abruptly changing her train of thought. "...when he was with that other woman, Seth was never this intimate with her, right?"
Despite all that Jenna Quinn had said, Sienna Hale’s attention had unexpectedly fixated on Cherie. She was terrified, especially after hearing that Jenna had left Cherie alone at a stranger’s home. "What? You actually let Cherie go off alone with a stranger? What kind of mother are you? How could you be so careless? Weren’t you afraid someone would sell your son—my precious grandson?"
Nearby, Theodore Quinn couldn’t sit still any longer either. He was trying to save face by not engaging with his daughter, but Cherie was his own grandson. Even though they had never met, he was incredibly worried.
"Mom, don’t worry. I wouldn’t have dared to leave him there if I wasn’t absolutely sure that Clara Grant and her mother, Skylar Hayes, aren’t bad people. We’re supposed to be talking about the marriage alliance with the Grant Family. You’re getting sidetracked!"
