Chapter 52: Chapter 52: The Event Horizon

"Your power will be put to better use by me." I said to Moíra lifting him up in the air.

"Da-Dalia!" Moíra struggled to say as he desperately tried to set himself free. He looked at his helper for help.

I then reached into his chest...

(AAAAAAHHH!!!)

Moíra screamed out. Surprisingly, Moíra’s helper, Dalia, didn’t do anything to stop me. She just stood there next to us and watched.

’What the-, this is new... No way! He doesn’t-... I see now.’ I thought to myself smiling.

I then turned to Dalia and asked her, "Where is his soul?"

"I saw his fate decades ago and had been trying to change it since. This was the only way. His soul is somewhere you can never reach as you are now." Dalia said to me.

"I’ve told you everything you need. So leave." She said to me ignoring my question.

"I suppose you have... What a waste." I said as I looked at Moíra still struggling to get loose from my grip.

I then dropped him on the floor and turned around to leave.

"We are going to leave, just like that!" The tailed Lilith exclaimed.

"Yes, just like that. Dalia is different from Moíra. Unlike him, she doesn’t need to ask someone a question to know their fate and is several times stronger. I don’t know if I can beat her, but she cannot defeat me either. Why else would she let us go?" I said to her.

"Besides, I have no idea where his soul is. It would just be wasted effort to fight them now." I said as I walked past her.

As we were about to leave, Daila said one last thing to us, "Use your power to protect yourself on the way in. It is not a normal black hole. You are strong, but without the necessary protection, you will die." She said seriously.

"Thanks for the advice." I said continuing to walk away.

’What’s her goal?’ I thought to myself.

"Looks like we are both going into the black hole now." I said to Azrael with a friendly smile.

"I don’t think I can survive the entry! If Theós doesn’t want anyone going in there out...? If it is not within Theós’ plan, then it cannot be done." Azrael said to me.

"I really hate that saying." I said to him.

"My apologies Master. I couldn’t help it." Azrael slightly bowed and said to me respectfully.

"Never mind that, I have a plan for all of us to pass through the black hole, but let’s just go for now." I said to him as I began to levitate off the ground then flew away. Azrael, alongside everyone else, quickly followed behind.

"So, that’s why you made me spare Terry back then...! I still don’t understand though, why send them to the Dimensional Prison? Was it your plan all along to trap them there?" Moíra asked.

"If he succeeds to break out, that means he must have gotten through to that reaper. Only with his power will he have a chance in the future. Upon his success, the fate of the entire universe and all of its reapers will drastically change." She said to him.

Not long after, we quickly arrived at the border of Moíra’s sector, facing the black hole a few light years away.

"Do you think every black hole leads to this reaper’s prison?" Azrael asked me.

"That’s a surprisingly good question for you to wonder about, but it’s unlikely. I guess we should have asked before we left." I said to him.

"So what’s the plan? How can we, safely, go in?" Azrael asked, keeping great emphasis on ’safely’.

"I don’t know about safe, but I assume that only I and the tailed Lilith can go through without being ripped apart. I will have the rest of you go into my dark cloud whilst I and the tailed Lilith go through the black hole.

However, there are a few factors to consider that may prove to be a problem. This is a supermassive black hole, and it is one made by Theós for the sole purpose of holding a prisoner.

It’s safe to assume that there is a reaper that had offended Theós to such an extent, that Theós had to resort to the extreme of imprisoning him in a whole different dimension all together. Personally, I like him already.

There is also the risk that Moíra and Dalia are simply sending us in a wild goose chase and are reporting to Thanatos as we speak. I’m willing to take that risk, I can’t beat Dalia anyways. If anyone wishes to remain, apart from Livia and the tailed Lilith, I will not object." I said to all of them.

"I will follow you anywhere." Armando said.

"If Armando is going then so will I." Kitsune cried out.

"I will be coming as well obviously." Terry said sarcastically.

I then stared at Azrael, awaiting his response. "Like I have a choice hahaha." he said to me with a laugh.

He suddenly looked serious and said, "Even if we were facing Theós himself, I would follow you without hesitation."

His body then immediately turned into a cloud then went into the compressed dark cloud in my body.

I then opened a gate and the rest of them went through. ’Hey, all the manga is in here!’ Livia and Kitsune shouted in unison as their voices sounded in my head.

"You know, black holes may be the universe’s trash can...but they sure are beautiful." The tailed Lilith said as she admired the black hole ahead of us.

"They sure are." I said before looking away and now appreciating the beauty of the deep black sphere as it continued to consume all matter that ventured too close.

"We are smaller than ants compared to this thing...do you really think we can survive this?" The tailed Lilith finally voiced out her thoughts in the matter.

"I’ve never seen you worried before...I’m sure we will be fine. We’re strong." I said to her then slowly began to fly towards the black hole.

We got closer and closer to the black hole, yet, remained unaffected by the gravity. It seemed close, but it was actually quite a distance away. After a while of flying the gravitational pull suddenly became much stronger.

’If we can handle this much the rest of the way should be fine.’ I thought to myself. We then began to get pulled in faster and faster. I could feel myself lose control of my movements with each passing second. If someone were to observe us from afar, they would have thought we were floating still as we entered the event horizon.

Time moved differently, as we approached the event horizon. However, the pressure that this black hole exerted was unlike anything I felt before, and it only got stronger.

Normally, the force of the pull is strongest at the edge, but it seemed like the pull just kept getting strong the deeper we went. The center of the black giant flactuated, like a glitch.

A few seconds later, I noticed I had begun to drift away from the tailed Lilith. She had noticed this as well and we both tried to reach out our hands for each other, but a pressure stopped us from moving closer to each other, whilst also disrupting our proprioception.

The tailed Lilith then quickly reached out with her long, black, furry tail then pulled me closer. She then wrapped her tail, tightly, around both our bodies as we finally went, nose to nose, into the singularity.

"Follow the flactuations." I told the tailed Lilith.

She quickly did as I said. It seemed like we were going in circles.

For a moment, we were floating in complete nothingness. There was no space; there was no time; there was just the emptiness of all matter, then...there was everything.

Without my control, I instinctively turned into my full reaper form and for just one millionth of a second, I could see the entire universe, all at once. Every being; every planet, was within my sight, but I couldn’t make sense of any of it.

It felt like reading a sentence and knowing each individual word, but not being able to make sense of all of them together.

I looked at my hands and could see my flesh, my bones, and the cloud at the same time. However, beneath the cloud there was some sort of glowing gold light. It was blurry, but it looked like two glowing golden orbs of sorts.

We were then suddenly propelled out of the singularity, with an incredible force, and into an unknown area in space with the tailed Lilith’s tail still wrapped around our bodies.

She then quickly unwrapped her tail and stared into the distance, refusing to face me.

"Are you okay?" She asked me.

"Why, are you worried?" I asked her.

"Ugh, you dying right now doesn’t really benefit me. Where are we anyways?" She asked another question, changing the subject.

"Don’t know, but the pressure here is insane. I don’t think I can freely move around in here in my human form... That is strange, I can’t turn back to my human form and although we are in space, I can feel there is air here." I said to the tailed Lilith.

"Oh, I hadn’t noticed. I wonder what this imprisoned reaper is like," the tailed Lilith says. "Dangerous, probably, be on your guard. If we ever find ourselves in a situation we can’t handle, we teleport away immediately." I said to her.

"Right." The tailed Lilith responded.

’Alright, head count. Kitsune?’ I said in my head.

’Here.’ She answered.

’Livia?’ I called out.

’Here.’ She replied as well.

’Terry...Armando.’ I said in my head.

’Here.’ They said in unison.

’Azrael?’ I called out, but there was no answer.

"Azrael, are you there man?" I asked out loud, but there was still no response.

"What’s wrong?" The tailed Lilith asked.

"It’s Azrael, he is not responding." I said to her.
