A Reaper's Philosophy-Chapter 55: I’m In Control
’It just had to be a planet.’ I thought.
"Get inside my dark cloud, now!" I shouted at Chrónos.
"Fuck we’re going to die, fuck we’re going to die, fuck we’re going to fucking die!" Chrónos said in a panic then quickly turned into a cloud and got into my dark cloud.
I then closed my eyes, took in a deep breath, then breathed out a long heavy sigh. I then stared down the red planet coming down on me as it kept changing from solid; to dust; to pieces.
Its flow was unstable and kept moving back and forth within the black hole. Unfortunately, it was only at this exact moment would we have the best chance to pass through and escape.
My body slowly became engulfed in blazing flames that would turn anyone that touched it, to ashes. Purple lightning followed and coated my body like an armor.
I swiftly flew towards the planet, ready to take it head on. Trails of sonic booms sounded in my wake. I quickly punched into and suddenly noticed it collapsed. It then reformed and repeated this process with me at the center. I was unable to move.
I then tried to stop the flow of the planet, but it was too unstable. the planet, shattering it in the process. Chrónos quickly distorted the flow of time around me, making it easier to bare the pressure. I no longer felt as restrained and was able to continue forward.
An indescribable pressure bore down on me soon after, trying to force my body back down. Nonetheless, I kept pushing forward. The fire around my body grew stronger and brighter, and the purple lightning raged violently forward.
My bright turquoise eyes, shown with a glint as my body burned hotter. The entire Dimensional Prison began to shake as it failed to maintain its stability. I then pushed forward, right through the pressure, resulting in the entire collapse of the Dimensional Prison.
Numerous Theoíans perished upon the collapse of the dimension, but they are a tough species, with unimaginable vitality, so a little more than a handful of them were able to survive the collapse.
Their deaths only added to my power. Seeing how the average Theoían had the lifespan of a couple thousand years and many were well over 10,000 years, it was a big boost.
I swiftly kept on pushing through the pressure. It gradually became easier to move forward. Eventually, I felt the familiar feeling of nothingness once again.
Just like before, there was absolutely nothing, complete absence of matter, then, there was everything. For one tenth of a second, I saw everything and everyone. All kinds of information flooded into my brain, but this time, I could make a little sense of it as I slowed down the flow of the river.
I felt like a child, looking up to the heavens, as I could only comprehend but a drop of the great big ocean that is the universe. I felt an enlightenment spark within me as I comprehended a tenth of everything. I no longer felt limited to the 3 dimensional view of the world I lived in.
This time, it was different. Perhaps it was due to Chrónos’ time powers. Time moves differently within the cloud, which explains why Kitsune and the rest were able to comprehend more when we were going in.
Without warning, I was suddenly shot out of the black hole at a faster speed than I went in with. I then twisted and turned through deep space till I finally got myself to stop.
I then opened my eyes and saw the same universe I had always been in, but in a whole different light. I was now in Moíra’s sector and was able to see thousands of miles away. I could see the make-up of things; the core of a planet and all its layers, cells dying and regenerating, the vibrations of atoms, nothing was hidden from me.
In my moment of wonder, Chrónos and the tailed Lilith came out of my dark cloud, both looking surprised.
"See, we got out just fine." The tailed Lilith said out loud.
"No thanks to you." I said to her, waking up from my stupor.
She then looked at me in shock and asks, "What happened to your eyes?"
"What do you mean?" I asked out loud then suddenly, a time clone of myself that was 10 seconds older than me, appeared next to me.
I quickly noticed my eyes were now a violent shade of scarlet.
"HAHA! I can’t believe it, I’m actually out!" Chrónos said with twinkling eyes, as he laughed hysterically.
He did not bother to pay us any mind.
"Will you take us to Dunamis’ planet like you promised?" I asked Chrónos.
"Of course, I owe-... what the fuck happened to your eyes?" Chrónos asked now observing me intently.
"Nothing to worry about. I’m just seeing things differently now." I said to him then suddenly realized something.
"Chrónos, where is your helper?" I asked him, genuinely curious, as we’ve never seen him with one the entire time we’ve been with him.
As far as I knew, every reaper had a helper assigned to them, yet, Chrónos didn’t seem to have one.
"She was taken from me, long ago, before I got imprisoned. But I will get her back!" He said with a heavy but determined heart.
"Tell me something else, what do you know about the tailed Lilith?" I asked him.
"Oh Lilith? Yes, I did know her, long ago. However, I cannot say any more than that, now that we’re outside the prison. Theós will have the authority to target any one of us, if we attempt to talk about Lilith’s past." He said.
"Shit, I missed my chance." I said then suddenly, Dalia confronted us out of nowhere.
"Finally, I was beginning to think you wouldn’t make it back." Dalia said.
"What do you mean, we’ve only been gone a few hours." I said to her.
"No you haven’t. It’s been over 3 chrónia since I last saw you." Dalia said to me.
"3 years!!" I shouted out in shock.
’Time moved differently in the Dimensional Prison. At a much slower pace. A few hours in there was likely years out here." Chrónos said to me.
"Fuck, fuck, fuck, and you wanted to wait for another chance! When is the next meeting with Thanatos?" I asked Dalia. "You missed the meeting. It happened a chrónia ago. Thanatos is looking for you! It’s only a matter of time until he confronts you." She said to me.
"What are my chances?" I asked her.
"You will die. There’s no question about that. However, you still have a chance. Evnoia! According to the legends, the world is home to god like beings even more powerful than us reapers and helpers. Go there, find a way to grow stronger and maybe you can survive this.
Unfortunately, going there has a cost as well. It is the home of the Legendary Reaper. If you were to insight his ire, it will be no different than facing Thanatos.
Evnoia may have the Legendary Reaper, but the laws placed there are powerful enough the restrict even Thanatos. It’s a big planet surrounded by spacial rifts. He won’t find you so easily even if he does make it to Evnoia." Dalia said.
"Chrónos, let’s go!" I said to him with a tone of urgency.
"Alright then, let’s go. Dalia, good seeing you again. I’m sure I have you to thank for all of this." Chrónos said.
He then placed his hands on both I and the tailed Lilith’s shoulders then disappeared with us.
"I can’t believe he was actually able to pull it off. There just may be some hope for us." Dalia said out loud as a light glimmered in her eyes.
"I don’t sense him anymore. Not a single trace of him! Where has he gone Dalia." A deep voice sounded from behind Dalia.
The glimmer in Dalia’s eyes quickly disappeared as she said, "Thanatos!" 𝐟𝚛𝕖𝚎𝕨𝗲𝐛𝚗𝐨𝐯𝐞𝕝.𝐜𝗼𝗺
We then appeared a few hundred thousand kilometers from the most astronomically, massive planet I had ever seen. This planet was bigger than Earth’s sun.
"HOLY SHIT!!" I and the tailed Lilith exclaimed in unison.
Spacial rifts could be seen scattered all around the system like cracks on a vase. It made the space look like a giant spider web with Evnoia at the center.
One wrong turn and we could find our bodies scattered across time and space.
"Be careful whilst you’re in there. My life is now tied to yours. So, do not do anything to upset Dunamis or else, he will kill you without a second thought! He has the power to do so. This is a big planet with numerous powerful beings, so he won’t sense you approaching with so many powerhouses masking your energy, but he does have a knack of having things go his way, so your safety is never guaranteed.
Last time I was here; I nearly lost my soul. He was capable of injuring me across all time. I didn’t escape him, he allowed me to live! I swore to never come back and I intend on keeping that promise. He said I was too weak to be in his planet. So, this is most definitely as far as I go. Be-careful!" He warned us in a rush then disappeared.
"Damn, this Dunamis really left a deep impression on him." I said out loud.
"Alright, everybody out!" I said then stretched my hand forward to open a gate.
Armando and the helpers then finally flew out of the gate.
"My king!" Armando said with watery eyes then attempts to hug me.
I then swiftly flew to the side, evading his approach.
"Listen up! I cannot update you on everything, but behind me is The Legendary Reaper’s planet. We will be going there immediately!" I said to them as I pointed at the giant brown and blue planet behind me with my thumb.
"Holy shit!" They all said in unison.
Terry then flew in closer to me then asked, "What the hell happened to your eyes?"
"I’m not quite sure either." I said to her.
"Shut up, I’m in control!" The tailed Lilith randomly shouted out loud.
We then all looked at her, wondering why she said what she said.
"Are you okay?" Kitsune asked concerningly.
"Yes, of course I am. I’m in control." The tailed Lilith said like nothing had happened.
"Okaaay then, let’s go." I said out loud then began to fly towards the planet.
We then reached a certain distance from the planet and were suddenly met with a force field that covered the entire planet. The force field was similar to the one around Moíra’s planet, except this one felt more profound; it felt alive.
