Chapter 57: Chapter 57: Move

"No." The tailed Lilith casually disagreed to help me.

Dunamis then stepped on my chest and slowly began putting more pressure on it.

"Exousia is life energy. It is in the earth, in the atmosphere, and within us all. Without harnessing this power, you can barely survive being on this planet, let alone defeat me." He said to me as he increased the pressure on my chest.

"I can feel the souls of some reapers within you. I don’t know how you managed that but humorl me, what exactly were you expecting would happen when you came here? Did you think you could just come here and steal away my soul? How foolish. You are a pathetic insect and you will die like one as well." Dunamis said pushing down harder, showing how much he was enjoying inflicting this.

"Let me hear your screams." He said with a smile as my ribs began to crack.

Even after fracturing a majority of my ribs, I held back my voice and refused to scream. His smile quickly left as he kicked me a few meters away, feeling irritated by my silence.

I then struggled to get up as I tried to figure out a way out of this situation.

’He is faster; he is stronger. I can’t outrun him, neither can I overpower him. I have three broken ribs and bone fractures all around my body. What can I do?’ I began to think.

I kept looking within Dunamis’ body with my scarlet eyes, but found no weaknesses in him. He was like a perfect being without any flaws.

’Is this reaper really unbeatable? No, there has to be a way...’ I continued to think.

"Time! I will put the remainder of my strength on Chrónos’ power!" I said to myself.

I then looked at Dunamis with a little more confidence now, and attempted to stop his flow of time as he approached me.

{Failed to stop reaper’s flow of time. Intent is too strong}

’The fuck is intent!’ I exclaimed in my head.

Dunamis was somehow stopping me from manipulating his flow of time. Nonetheless, I still kept my composure and attempted to slow down his flow of time and maybe try and escape.

Any normal person wouldn’t have noticed, but for a tenth of a second, Dunamis had slowed down his approach. However, immediately after, he shattered time and space and continued to approach me.

{Failed to slow down reaper’s flow of time. Intent is too strong}

’Intent again!’ I said to myself in my head.

’So this is why Chrónos was injured, even with his power. Not even time can affect him.’ I solemnly thought to myself.

Looking a bit annoyed, Dunamis approached me with a lot more pressure. Space twisted and turned around him, with every step that he took. The ground shook from the pressure he gave off.

’MOVE! MOVE...!’ The tailed Lilith thought to herself as she continued to stand and watch from the side with her arms crossed.

Her eyes looked like they were spaced out and weren’t even paying attention to what was happening at the moment, but there was a battle happening deep within herself.

’There’s nothing I can do. I won’t just sit around and die though.’ I thought to myself.

Dunamis was now standing right in front of me and looking down on me. I swiftly threw yet another fist. He then caught it and gripped it tightly, crashing my bones in the process. I groaned from the pain, but didn’t stop resisting.

With much difficulty, I used my free hand to punch his face and released my poisonous dark cloud. For some reason, I could only spread it up to 2m. I felt restricted, as though my connection to the dark cloud was blurred.

Perhaps it was because of this that Dunamis remained unfazed. Feeling irritated, he picked me up by the neck and lift me up in the air. I swung a kick at his neck, but all that accomplished was a slight tilt to his head.

’MOVE! Just Move!’ The tailed Lilith continued to struggle inside.

"So much potential in those eyes...what a waist!" Dunamis said to me whilst gazing into my scarlet eyes.

He then jammed his hand through my stomach, leaving a gaping hole through my body.

"Your prophecy ends here." Dunamis said to me then threw my body to the side.

Suddenly, something snapped within the tailed Lilith’s head. She finally charged towards Dunamis with an explosive force.

"Get the fuck away from him!" She screamed swinging a ferocious kick at Dunamis.

Dunamis quickly raised his hands to guard himself. A few bones fractured on the tailed Lilith’s foot upon impact. The force, however, caused Dunamis to skid back a couple of meters. Small bruises could now be seen on his arms.

The tailed Lilith then caught my body before it crashed on the ground, and struggled to sprint away with her fractured ankle.

"I never said you could leave." Dunamis said then charged after us.

Suddenly, purple lightning came striking down and struck Dunamis, like a deity passing judgment.

A four armed reaper, with purple veins pulsing all around his body, appeared before Dunamis. The reaper held a black metallic rod on each hand.

"Take the king as far from here as possible. I’ll hold this one off." Armando shouted at the tailed Lilith as she continued to run away.

He now blocked Dunamis’ path and released a pressure of his own, which didn’t affect Dunamis in the slightest.

Armando had tried to come out earlier, but something was restricting him from doing so. Now that I was dying, and had gotten further away from Dunamis, Armando was able to push through the restrictions.

"King? Hold this one off? You fool. I will show you who is the king here!" Dunamis said arrogantly.

"You are no king." Armando said as purple lightning gathered around him.

"You dare stand in my way?" Dunamis said to Armando.

1 minute ago:

"I can’t believe he just left us here." Livia said continuing to pout.

"What do we do now?" Kitsune asked.

"If I quickly go to report to Thanatos-..." Livia began to say, but before she could finish speaking, Terry’s body excreted a gas as the fire around her body raged violently.

"You will not be going to Thanatos if you value your life!" Terry said to Livia.

Armando and Terry then suddenly became more alert and stared deeply toward the giant planet.

"Master is in danger!" Armando exclaimed then attempted to push through the force field with much more effort than before.

The force field seemed to dent inward as he pushed, but the shield eventually, pushed him back. He tried over and over again, desperately, but each time he could only just barely get through.

Terry then set her fists ablaze and repeatedly struck the force field with all her strength, but they still couldn’t get through. Suddenly, both their bodies began to ache, proving just how dire the situation was.

"We have to get through and aid our Sovereign!" Terry said with great urgency.

Her flaming hands then expanded till they were twice the size of her body. A gas kept coming out of her hands. A blue flame now gently blazed from them. She then grabbed on the force field and began to struggle to dig her claws into it. Yellow lightning then began to spark off the force field as if to resist Terry’s power.

Using every last bit of her strength, she ripped open a small opening. Small enough for one individual to slip through. Armando and the others looked towards Terry in awe as she successfully made an opening.

"GO!" Terry shouted at Armando as she continued to hold the small space open.

Armando then woke from his stupor and rushed through the small opening. He immediately began to drop towards the surface of the planet at an incredible speed. Armando flew towards Dunamis at his top speed.

His entire body was now covered with raging bolts of purple lightning as he increased his acceleration. He then pulled out four black, metallic rods, from his back, that were coated with purple lightning as well. Using the planet’s gravitational pull, Armando was able to increase his speed and the force of his incoming attack.

Like a god straight out of legends, Armando struck down where Dunamis stood. Dunamis then skid back a couple dozen meters, but was completely unharmed.

...

"You dare stand in my way?" Dunamis said to Armando.

"I will protect the king at any cost." Armando said with determination in his eyes then charged at Dunamis.

"It will cost you your life." Dunamis said.

Armando swiftly swung all four rods at Dunamis, releasing a barrage of attacks. Dunamis only stood there motionless, like a mountain, unfazed by the attacks. He then caught two of Armando’s arms, as he was attacking, then ripped them off.

(AAAAAHHH!!)

Armando screamed out in pain, giving Dunamis great pleasure. Armando then summoned a massive bolt of purple lightning from the sky and struck Dunamis with it. Steam rose from Dunamis’ body, but he remained uninjured by the lightning. Dunamis then stuck his hand through Armando’s chest then whispered into Armando’s ear in a cold raspy voice, "Who is your king now?"

(Blerh)

Armando spit out purple blood, his body was slowly growing organs and flesh. Armando quickly grabbed Dunamis’ hand that was in his chest. He then tightened his grip around Dunamis’ arm.

He tightned the growing muscles around his chest and made sure Dunamis could not take his hand out.

"Sad, the desperate struggles of a worm." Dunamis said, then punched Armando’s face. Half of his head blow away, yet he held on even tighter.
