A second chance with my billionaire husband-Chapter 1705 - 370: Eighteen Unleashed—Absolutely Terrifying (20th Update)_2
This marksmanship... it’s a shame not to become a sniper.
"Miss, be careful." Shiba leaped up, kicked the ashtray on the coffee table towards the door, hitting the head of the intruder directly, causing him to fall to the ground with a bloody head.
Shiba raised her handgun, stepping towards the door as Yun Ya followed, showing no sign of fear or panic.
As someone emerged, Shiba’s quick shot took them down instantly. Making her way to the door, she grabbed a corpse for cover, testing the situation outside. Bullets fired from two directions, shredding the corpse into mincemeat.
Shiba sneered, "Miss, wait for me."
With that said, she darted out, kicking off the opposite wall, her body airborne, arms outstretched, firing two handguns simultaneously; bullets sprayed around her as she tilted her head back, feeling them brush past her nose.
Shiba executed an aerial backward flip, arms crossed, firing again, her accuracy exceedingly alarming.
Soon everyone lay dead. Shiba tossed the handguns aside, picked up a rifle from a corpse, and slung it over her neck, grabbing another and meticulously gathering every bullet from the bodies.
"Type 92 automatic rifle, not bad equipment for a bunch of small-time thugs."
Yun Ya picked up a rifle from another corpse, tried its weight in her hand—it was somewhat heavy, but still within an acceptable range.
Back to back, they moved towards the elevator.
Suddenly, another team appeared ahead of Shiba, quickly dispatched with a few shots. She turned to Yun Ya, "Miss, thrilling, isn’t it?"
Yun Ya chuckled, "Thrilling."
"Wanna try something even more thrilling, Miss?" She abruptly pulled Yun Ya into a spin, taking down a few masked intruders emerging behind Yun Ya.
"These people are too incompetent, just how incompetent must one be to raise such a pathetic group?" Shiba remarked sarcastically.
The gunfire drew more people in. Shiba removed her jacket, threw it to the ground, revealing a white tank top: "Damn it, I’m going all out."
Shiba unleashed her might, utterly terrifying.
The entire corridor was strewn with bodies.
"So many terrorists broke into the Capitol, what the hell is the National Security Department doing?" Shiba cursed, her eyes growing fiercer, bloodthirsty.
"We can’t use the elevator, let’s take the stairs." Shiba seized Yun Ya, rushing down the stairs, the first floor littered with corpses.
A group surged forward, aiming their guns at them. Shiba shrugged, "I surrender." Suddenly, she hurled her gun.
At the moment when the enemy relaxed their guard, she kicked up the gun with her foot, springing off the stair rail, snatching it midair for fierce shooting, sending those slow to react to meet their fate—King of Hell. Right now, it was about speed, and Shiba never lost in that regard.
They descended, stepping over bodies, as Jiang Xiang hurried over with a team: "Miss, are you alright?"
Yun Ya shook her head, Jiang Xiang sighed in relief, "I’ll escort you out of here first."
Shiba and Jiang Xiang protected Yun Ya, breaking through the encirclement. The plaza wasn’t an option; they’d become targets. The only choice was the back door, where cars arranged by Jiang Xiang were waiting.
Once Yun Ya got into the car, she turned to Shiba: "Go protect Grandpa Qiao, make sure nothing happens to him."
Shiba raised an eyebrow: "Old Qiao has plenty of people protecting him. One more or less of me won’t matter; my orders are to protect you at all costs."
Yun Ya opted to say no more, looked towards Jiang Xiang: "What’s happening exactly?"
"It’s Dongfang Yi’s people; he planned today’s attack, but fortunately, Mr. Yan foresaw it. Miss, rest assured, his schemes will not succeed."
"What about Uncle Yan? Was he hurt?" Yun Ya asked anxiously.
"Mr. Yan is safe, Miss, don’t worry. I’ll take you to meet him now."
Yet, up ahead, their car was blocked by an oncoming vehicle.
A team quickly dismounted, holding handguns, surrounding their car.
Dongfang Yi stepped out of the car, sneering: "You have a plan, I have a ladder. Yan Nanmo’s daughter-in-law? Heard Old Qiao thinks highly of you too. Capturing you, is that more valuable?"
"Let me handle him." Shiba opened the car door, ready to get out.
"Hold on," Yun Ya stopped her.
Pushed the car door open, she slowly stepped out.
"Miss..." Shiba’s brows furrowed, closely following Yun Ya out.
Dongfang Yi had seen Yun Ya from afar once before, leaving a deep impression. Upon seeing her now, he was captivated—such a beautiful woman, why wasn’t she his?
"Young Master Dongfang, looking for me?" The girl smiled faintly, evoking gentleness and grace.
Dongfang Yi stared, sneered: "Will you obediently come with me, or shall I force you?"
"I’ll go myself." The girl’s cool voice resonated confidently.
"Smart move. Such a lovely beauty, how could I bear to harm you... haha."
A quick flash of coldness passed through Yun Ya’s eyes, disgusting man, boasting even at the brink of death.
"There’s something I’d like to ask Young Master Dongfang, where’s Sister Yi going? She still owes me a debt..."
Upon hearing Yun Ya mention Dongfang Yi, Dongfang Yi paused, then sneered: "Dead."
"Dead?" Yun Ya, incredulous, appeared deeply upset: "How could this be?"
"Who asked her to go against me?" Dongfang Yi replied coldly.
"Did you...did you kill Sister Yi?" Yun Ya looked at him like he was insane.
Dongfang Yi smiled devilishly: "So what if I did? What if I didn’t?"
"She was your sister, you beast..." Yun Ya said indignantly.
Dongfang Yi suddenly grabbed her hand, drawing closer: "I’m a beast? Then I’ll show you what a real beast is..."
Suddenly, his eyes widened in disbelief. He glanced down—the girl’s fingertips held a syringe, its needle piercing his abdomen...
Before anger could brew, he abruptly collapsed, motionless.
It all happened in an instant. Dongfang Yi’s men, yet to fire, heard the girl’s cool voice slowly: "Dongfang Yi has been executed. If you are still stubborn, only a dead end awaits. Lay down your arms now, before you commit a greater error, when everything is still salvageable, don’t continue down the wrong path. Your deaths will mean nothing, but remember your families; they live on, bearing the pain your mistakes cause them."
Yun Ya’s voice was compelling, causing the men to hesitate. Without Dongfang Yi, they were lost, their morale easily shaken.
In the moment of distraction, Shiba sprang up, kicking the foremost men, chaotic gunfire ensued, none survived.
Yun Ya coldly laughed, "One wrong step, and it’s still wrong. Turning back, leads nowhere but death."
Jiang Xiang ordered Dongfang Yi to be cuffed, and soon a military vehicle pulled up, a man strode towards them clad in a military uniform.
In a daze, Yun Ya seemed to see Brother Yan...
Until the face was clear, Yun Ya snapped out of it, smiling bitterly—how could she mistake Yan Nangui for Brother Yan? They didn’t resemble each other at all.
