It came as a rude shock when the news of him fathering two babies with this divorced wife of Mike Blake. Lara was simply reading the news as the helicopter took off. She didn’t know how far and wide the media could go to dig up information from the past to buttress their posts.

Curtis glanced at her and said "I’d advise you to switch off your phone. When we get to our desired destination, you can listen and read all sorts of paparazzi ongoing presently" he said casually.

Reading and following news online had become something strange to him. He’d long discredited such acts. They are partially true and some are hard thickened lies. They can make someone believe falsehood and the person goes around with it spreading the poison.

"Yeah sure" Lara agreed and switched off her phone. She placed her phone in her bag and placed her head on the head rest. Shutting her eyes, she let her mind drift to her kids.

Can they stay with Laura without feeling the absence of their parents, if not her but Curtis. She’d been away from them for a while, but Curtis had always been with them.

"The kids would be fine. Laura can look after them perfectly and besides, mom is with her this time" he answered her thoughts. Lara snapped her eyes open and found him staring at her.

How did he know what she was thinking about? She forced a smile and said "when did you become good at telepathy?"she asked, letting him take her palm in his.

"My intuition made me feel you might be bothered about the kids. Besides, being able to read my wife’s thoughts would help me serve her better" he whispered.

Lara smiled, her eyes lingered from his eyes to his lips and wouldn’t move away from there. She kept her gaze on his lips as saw them parted slightly for a smile and next came closer to hers and crashed on hers.

A few hours later, Curtis and Lara checked into one of the exquisite hotels in Florida. They had a reservation already and as they got inside, Lara was more than eager to go through her phone again.

"I’ll let you have your phone for a while but after that, I’ll take it away from you. I’m away from home and want to be with you alone, I won’t let your phone steal my wife’s attention from me" Curtis announced, kissing her lips briefly before storming out.

Lara nodded and smiled.

But when she checked the social media again, she was shocked. She was tagged the barren wife of late Mike Blake who became pregnant with Curtis Rodney.

Wasn’t Curtis himself sterile? The kind of combination coming from this couple parenting a set of twins, was worth studying. Curtis was left on the altar on the account of not being man enough to make a woman pregnant.

And Mike Blake divorced his wife because of her inability to have a baby with him. Shortly after that, these two became parents to two babies. The news exploded on the internet.

Many people were commenting, it’s either they adopted the babies or there is something wrong with the previous news they had. It’s unfortunate that Mike Blake was dead and his second marriage had led to his death.

Pictures from Lara’s first marriage were everywhere and her happy moments with Mike were displayed. Where on earth did they get the pictures from? There were some that she hadn’t seen herself but seeing the pictures, she remembered those times.

Next was Curtis pictures. The handsome charming man who stood at the altar waiting to be joined with his fiancée and friend of many years was left disappointed.

As if Lara hadn’t seen enough, the pictures of Vivian were next. Vivian’s pictures were displayed, her moments with Curtis while they dated and how they were happy together before they agreed to seal their love legally by getting married.

Then her betrayal, followed by pictures with her current husband. A question followed that left Lara happy and at the same time felt pity for Vivian.
