Chapter 367: Track 367

[Donald’s Perspective]

What was somewhat unexpected was that there weren’t too many werewolves guarding the cargo ship of the Far Voyage, as from the moment we boarded the ship until now, having saved the hostages and left, we encountered no particularly thorny guards along the way, and Christian didn’t even get a chance to act.

Taking advantage of the darkness before dawn, I led the assault team’s Lycans in a smooth withdrawal, while Gino held his miniature submachine gun, looking back regretfully with every step, as if he was not ready to leave and wanted more from this rescue operation.

"Are we really just retreating like this? The way Ruth looked when she broke down didn’t seem like she was lying, maybe Margaret really is in Color-pennant Town, we just don’t know where exactly!"

Gino muttered to himself and, after speaking, turned his gaze away from the ship’s hull towards Christian in front, who was holding Lisa, "It would be great if this little one could wake up right now, maybe just asking her would give us something!"

In fact, that was also what I was thinking, so once we had all safely withdrawn from the dock’s detection range, I had Christian stop.

"Your Majesty, what are you planning to do?" Christian asked.

I signaled for him to crouch down so Lisa could lie more comfortably in his arms, "Who has the medicinal kit that Benjamin prepared? Bring it over." I spoke gravely, my gaze toward Lisa fraught with a gambler’s intent.

A Lycan standing to my left quickly took off the backpack he was carrying, unzipped it, and handed me a small medical kit embedded with a constant temperature system that could preserve certain precious agents, like the Recovery Potion which had passed various tests,

"Your Majesty, are you intending to use this kind of potion on her? She is still so young, shouldn’t we ask Benjamin for the correct dosage?"

Christian, seeing what I intended to do, voiced his concerns.

I took out a potion, looked at the pale green liquid inside, and without any hesitation, said directly, "I just want to wake her up to ask about Margaret’s whereabouts. Injecting her with half a dose should be fine; there won’t be any problems."

As I said this, I rolled up Lisa’s sleeve, pressed the release button on the syringe, and the needle sprung out automatically, injecting the pale green Recovery Potion into Lisa’s body.

After securing the remaining potion, I took a deep breath and began to wait for the drug to take effect in Lisa.

Gino had been silently watching by my side, and seeing me administer the injection to Lisa with proficient movements, he discreetly let out a sigh of relief and said earnestly, "That must be the same potion Margaret mentioned before; after the fight that day, you all withdrew so hastily, I didn’t even get a chance to ask her properly about it..."

When Gino suddenly brought up Margaret, my attention was instantly diverted, I turned to look at him and asked, "What do you mean? When did she mention this to you?"

"It was that day at Sant Angelo Hotel, she promised to give me that potion! You can’t just weasel out of the deal," Gino replied anxiously as I questioned him.

I quickly recalled the event and understood what he was referring to, withdrawing my gaze and calmly responding, "It’s a small matter, I’ll discuss it with Benjamin."

Gino, hearing this, smiled again and turned his head towards Lisa in Christian’s arms, "So, after using this potion, how long does it take to take effect? How long do we need to wait here?"

Just as Gino’s words fell, I saw Lisa’s eyelashes flutter slightly. I exhaled a breath and answered Gino, "Not long now."

Lisa opened her eyes at the same moment I finished speaking, she firstly groaned and then, as the dawn’s early light became clearer, recognized her situation, "You are my sister’s husband, I have seen you before at White Rose Manor."

The little girl’s voice was very weak, but her round eyes were incredibly lively. They soon became moist, and she lifted her hand as if attempting to grab the hem of my clothes.

I looked at her and spoke softly, "Yes, can you tell me if you have seen Margaret recently? Also, what happened last night, why were you alone on that ship, and the others who were with you, where are they?"

Lisa obediently listened to me finish speaking, tears streamed down her dirty face. She coughed harshly, it sounded as if her lungs were damaged, "My brother and Margaret have been taken away by those people! They went out over the sea, said they were going to Poison Snake Island, cough cough cough! Please hurry and save them, my brother is very, very hurt."

As Lisa spoke, her injuries began to bleed again, I raised my hand to stop her attempt to get up, and hurriedly said in a soothing voice, "I will go save them, please don’t worry, just be good, okay? Regulate your breathing, don’t rush."

"Do you remember the approximate time they were taken? Other than Margaret and Brand, what about the other people, the brothers who sent you home last night, how are they doing?"
