Abandoned by the Alpha, I Became the Lycan King's Mate-Chapter 407 Damn it!
[Donald’s Perspective]
Their gazes were no longer firm, their occasional glances towards Levi made this Alpha all the more passive.
"Such a golden opportunity comes but once, and if you don’t make a stand now, don’t blame me for being inhospitable," I said aloud, raising the gun in my hand, pointing it straight at Levi’s heart.
Levi remained silent, his eyes dark and full of resentment as he looked at me. I sensed something in the pit of my stomach, a bad premonition quickly rising. "You wouldn’t be foolish enough to cooperate with Henry and move Margaret’s location, would you? Do you know what the consequences of angering me are?"
I tested him with my question. Levi slowly curved his lips into a grin, suddenly replying, "You’re not as stupid as I thought. I didn’t think you’d notice our stalling tactic!"
My facial expression swiftly turned cold at his words, my eyes filling with murderous intent as I locked gaze with Levi.
[My King! Can you hear me? The Lycan Queen isn’t in this hospital room, we’ve been deceived by Levi’s illusion, they’ve moved her somewhere else and we don’t know where!]
[My King! We’ve spotted suspicious footprints on the exterior wall of the hospital room, they must have moved her out through the window! I’m already hot on their trail with my men, get out of there quickly!]
The unstable mind-link that had plagued me ever since we landed on the island suddenly returned to normal, and I heard the reports from Elliot and Christian, one after the other.
Christian had indeed arrived one step ahead of Elliot and, being more meticulous, it wasn’t surprising he discovered more clues.
[Chase them down! At any cost, don’t let any leads slip through, bring Margaret back safely.] I ordered while without hesitation, I fired at Levi.
’Bang bang bang!’
This despicable and cunning werewolf deserved to die, daring to mock me in such a way, I was going to show him what the true wrath of the Lycan King was like, to see if he could endure it!
"Kill them all, leave none alive," I commanded the Lycans behind me, leading the charge with a new type of submachine gun that was terrifyingly deadly.
My target was the hastily retreating Levi. He and his subordinates had to die in this hospital today.
When rage reached its peak, I became absolutely cold and rational. Flanked by two trusted aide Lycans, I quickly caught up with Levi at the end of the corridor.
His subordinates tried to cover for him to escape through the window, but were suddenly killed by bullets flying in from outside, their blood and brains splattering on Levi’s cheek. Frozen in place by the scalding heat, Levi turned around with a maniacal laugh, glaring back at me!
The roaring of helicopters came from beyond the wall, and I could even hear Charlie shouting through a loudspeaker.
The Heavy Mechanical Camp had breached the eastern defenses and was coming to back me up, sooner than I expected.
"Margaret once asked me a similar question, but I never answered directly. I just said it was too late, that I could no longer turn back... Donald! You are truly lucky, the Moon goddess’s special favor towards you makes me envious. If I had met someone like Margaret earlier, I might not have been so greedy to work with Henry, stepping deeper into his dream filled with sin and blood!"
While speaking, Levi put a hand over his bloodshot eyes, his arm trembling slightly as he grasped the gun, his words and actions seemingly out of control.
I watched him impassively, my face cold and unmoved by his words.
Suddenly, Levi flung the hand from his eyes and made a shot at me with a twisted head, but before his finger could pull the trigger, a sniper from the helicopter outside shot through his wrist. Overwhelmed by the acute pain, Levi let go of the gun, his face twisted in agony as he groaned.
Seizing the perfect opportunity, I charged forward and mercilessly struck his head with the butt of my gun, following with a series of fierce punches to his face and nose. Only when I felt Levi’s nose break and my fists were covered in blood did I stop, panting heavily, grabbing his neck to force him to look at me and shouted fiercely, "Where did Henry take her? Speak!"
Levi’s consciousness was no longer clear, his eyes closed, his face covered in blood, yet he still managed to give me a defiant, mocking smile.
Seeing this, I let go, ready to give him a taste of a bullet from my gun, but a Lycan standing behind me stopped my impulsive action!
"My King! Keeping him alive allows us to interrogate about Henry’s whereabouts; it’s more valuable than killing him outright! Calm down, Squad Leader Benjamin will surely pry his mouth open!"
I admit I wanted to kill this madman directly, but my subordinate’s suggestion was most logical. I took a moment to catch my breath, my hand gripping the pistol remained motionless.
After a few seconds, I kicked Levi on the ground viciously and shot both his thighs, demanding coldly, "Notify Benjamin to come here, I want to know where Levi helped Henry take Margaret as soon as possible!"
